Hey guys,

I don't know if there's interest in a PS3 gameshare group, or if there's one in place for Canadians already, but I believe its worth taking a shot.

I'm interested in some PSN games, and it would be great if we can work it out
so that we can save some money. Just post what games you're interested in, and we'll decide what games to order and who's going to purchase.

How to setup a Gameshare (from Afterdawn)

1.) Write down your current sign in ID and password.

2.) Go under account management and delete all of your billing information if you keep a credit card number on file (this will stop the potential jack*** from purchasing stuff with your credit card to download to his own PS3).

3.) While in account management change your password to whatever and write down the new password. At this point it should be ok to exchange sign in information(make sure you give the person the new password and not the old one).

4.) Now both people will need to create a new user (you will have to keep this user on your system as long as you wish to play the content). After you you create a new user scroll down to Playstation network tab and click on Sign up for playstation network. You will have two options, choose use existing account and enter the opposite persons info. This will sign you into PSN as the other person.

5.) Enter the Playstation store and click on download list at the top hand corner. This will bring up all the past downloaded content. Choose what you wish to download. Perform the download in background.

6.) While the content is downloading it will be ok to click on your normal user and log back into your account with the new password (make sure the other person is at the same level as you are, this is why I suggest keeping in contact through other means as I said before). DO NOT TURN YOUR PS3 OFF.

7.) Once logged back in to your normal account it will be okay to go back in and change your password back to your normal one and add all of your billing info back in. By changing your password back you will not have to worry about unauthorized use of your account.

8.) Wait for the download to finish then install.

I can't justify full price for any of these games, but I'm looking to game share some if anyone wants to set one up with me. Super Stardust HD most people have, so it's really hard finding a partner for that also.

Pixel Junk Monsters + Encore ? - I may not want due to it coming to the PSP
This is a straight up request to make a "pool" for these games as all my current games that I could trade have been fully traded.

IE: You buy some, I'll buy some.


I am also looking for someone to:

gameshare recent Rock Band songs (You get 1 week and I'll get the next or something) - New-ish stuff only, as I have most everything up to Pearl Jam or so already (Old gameshare group which went away)

If anyone is interested with any of the games I want, and have ones I don't, I'd be glad to buy a couple and then share them with you for the ones you got.

-Each member gets $5 worth of veto votes each month in case there is some DLC that they want that everyone else doesn't really want. (Optional and open for discussion)
-Hopefully eventually get all Rock Band DLC
-Can also do game shares of certain games if *all* members agree. Extra money would have to be deposited for game shares.
 
do you really need to be from canada to game share here? I am look for Socom Confrontation and Tekken 5 Bundle =] . I have SF turbo HD remix , mortal kombat II ,killzone 2 maps, and call of duty 5 maps anyone intrested =] ?
 
Looking to get a group together to gameshare with Street Fighter and other Fighting games (KOF/Blazblue add-ons maybe) themed group together.

First Purchase will be:

Street Fighter 4 Costume Pack
Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix
Street Fighter Puzzle Fighter
Street Fighter Alpha

5 People needed, but probably go on with the gameshare with 3 or 4 People. Anyhow, with 5 people, we just need to submit $10 each to the wallet.

So far, we have 3 people in total. Look to get 2 more.

It's actually pretty fun. It's sort of like a mix between Power Stones/Smash Bros./Kung Fu Chaos.

Great little party fighter, that I didn't expect much from. I didn't even want it for free but I was bored and took a chance on it. It's actually a decent little game, especially with a few friends.
 
Hey I am looking to start up a long term DLC group for Rock Band Unplugged (PSP) when it gets released next month. They haven't released the price for DLC yet but I am assuming it will be the same or lower (hopefully) then the regular Rock Band DLC.

I haven't shared anything on PSP yet but I am assuming you can just log onto PSN on the PSP and download it, or if not you can just download it on the PS3 and transfer it to your PSP. (If any one can shed some light on how it works for PSP game shares it would be greatly appreciated).

The game will launch with 10 songs available to download (you can check out the list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_Band_Unplugged).

Details of the share:


  • This long term group will keep up with the DLC releases for Rock Band Unplugged. Currently they have not stated when DLC will be released, but I did here that it may not be weekly.
  • Each member will deposit $10. Each Thursday that DLC is released I will Download the new Songs. Once the funds in the PlayStation Wallet drop below $10 each member will deposit $10 again.
  • The DLC will be purchased on a Canadian PSN account. Prices on a Canadian Account are the same as on a US account, and there is a 13% tax rate.
  • For those of you living in the US, depending on the exchange rate, you may actually get the DLC cheaper. Currently the Exchange rate is 1 CAD = 0.8506 USD, therefore you only need to pay $8.51 USD to deposit $10 CAD. For those of you living in Canada your $10 will actually be worth $10.;)
  • In order to deposit funds into a Canadian PSN account you need a Canadian Credit Card. American Credit Cards and PSN cards will not work. If you do not have a Canadian Credit Card the money can be sent to me through Paypal, though Paypal fees would need to be added.
  • Can purchase other PSP games and DLC if all members agree. Extra money would need to be deposited.

I don't understand why can't games your playing be traded ? That doesn't effect you at all. The games can be downloaded up to 5 times.

He is right you can trade games while you are playing them that doesn't effect you. But games can be downloaded more then 5 times, its just the account that the games are purchased on can only be activated on 5 Ps3's max. So therefore the person who purchased the content can share his/her account, and all his/her purchases, with another 4 people. Though remember accounts can also be deactivated off a PS3 and then used again on a different PS3.

I had read somewhere that if somebody deletes a game that you allowed to be gameshared from his HD, the original owner his copy, too. The games I listed are those that I don't care if I lose because I'm done with them.

Who ever wrote what you read did not know much about game sharing on the PS3.

There is absolutely no way for you to lose a game that you purchased on your account as long as you do not deactivate your account on your PS3. That is the only way you can be locked out from your games/content.

Once you share something with another person your account is then activated on there PS3 they can download and use anything that you have downloaded/purchased with that account. If they download a game and then delete it, it does not effect you in any way. And as long as they do not deactivate your account from there PS3 they can redownload (as long as you didn't change the password on them ;)) what they deleted again without any effect to you.

Just remember you can only share your account with 4 other people. After that the only way to share that account with someone else is to get one of the people you shared with to deactivate your account on there PS3. Also remember to delete your Credit Card info before you share an account.

The only games that might not be tradeable are Rag Doll Kung Fu (I'm sure all Canadian CAGs made a U.S. account for a free copy), High Velocity Bowling (which a friend who subscribes to Qore gave me for free via a code) and Mega Man 9, which I bought from the Hong Kong store.

The games I still have on my HD include Flower, Wipeout HD, SSF2T HD, Penny Arcade Adventures 1, Pain (with the Abusement Park and Movie Lot add-ons), Astro Tripper and Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

If you have any games listed in my first thread, please PM me. I don't need to change my password as I buy all my games with MasterCard gift cards.

EDIT: I also have Crash Bandicoot Warped, Spyro The Dragon and Jumping Flash.

I am also looking for a group to: Rock Band DLC Long-Term Gameshare Group
The Current Group:
1) RoganSarine
2) CoreyVF
3)
4)
5)

How it will work:
-$10-$15 * each a month (either everyone log on and deposit money into the PS wallet or send me though paypal, though fees would have to be added)

* Price is negotiable.

-Concentrate mostly on new releases, and old releases that everyone in the group wants.
-We buy DLC based on majority vote from the group (IE: 3/5 votes to buy the DLC for a certain song ; please be open minded for genres)
-Hopefully eventually get all good/worthwhile Rock Band DLC
-Can also do game shares of certain games if *all* members agree. Extra money would have to be deposited for game shares.

If anyone is interested with any of the games I want, and have ones I don't, I'd be glad to buy a couple and then share them with you for the ones you got.

Just PM me and we can work something out! I am looking for people who can actively respond to my PM's and not get a message once a week. Serious people only please.

Rogan, please keep me in mind for the Rock Band 2 music share group. I'm not sure how many people you're looking for, but Rock Band 2 is pretty much the only game I play on PS3 and I've got quite a few tracks already.
