The Circuit City 4.99 deal.

I was told that the sale was SUPPOSED to be going on starting 7/11.

The fact the list got out already was an error.
 
I heard a rumor that there would be more games shipped out to CCs.

Just wondering if anyone else heard the rumor.

I heard that rumor from a person at CC today. Shes from fatwallet i believe.
 
that rumor was posted on here earlier, no one has confirmed it as of yet. ANy CC employees out there can you confirm this?
 
I went to Circuit city two hours after it opened and most games were already gone. There were only a 3 copies of PN3 and 2 re:cv. According to other topics employees are taking games off the shelves. The only thing I know for sure were they did want to know where I and others got the lists of games.
 
if this is advertised in the ads for the 11th...it would only make sense that they stock up, i would think that they would have to stock up...if its advertised...we'll see when i supply the ads this week...

They are taking games off the shelves. I was at 3 CC stores today and saw employees at 2 of them doing this. The ones I saw were only taking one copy of each title they wanted. I can't condemn them for doing this. If I worked there, I'd be doing the same thing as I'm sure many of you would. There was a group of 2 in my area that scarfed every copy of Disgaea and MP4 and left the rest basically. I did alright and picked up appx 12 titles from 3 stores. I'll keep an eye on my stores and post if any restocks occur. Good luck all. Hellofagood deal.

There needs to be a luck god that we can all pray to before heading out on these hunts for cheap games.
 
Trust, do you get the ads any earlier than the rest of us? (sat night) Just wondering if you have an inside scoop on the ads for each week.

If it is advetrised, I agree, there may well be restocks on some of the titles there is a bunch of in CC warehouse. I wouldnt get too excited to find any of the good/rare ones, but who knows. The restocking gods may shine down on all CAG come 7/11

not me. Hell it's none of their business and I like keeping those so-called "employees" in the dark for a freaking sale at a store they WORK AT and had no clue....

No, no. If anything was an error, it would be that the prices are in CC computer a week early. The fact that a list got out isn't an error. Even if the list leaking out was for the sale on the 11th, it wouldn't matter or benefit us now if the prices weren't in the computer for $4.99. So the error (if any) is the fact that CC computer reflects the $4.99 prices a week early. Yay us I guess.

Yeah, the more employees you tell about the deal, the more games they can take and get before the store opens and screw customers like us out of. Good call.
 
No, Yay CC Corporate for putting the prices in the system early. It may also be a deal where they wanted to try and sell down some of these now, and blow through the rest next week. Sell them now, less to move around and reprice next week.
 
All you guys talking about employees taking copies conflicts what three employees told me today. Each one of them was upset with the fact that employees arent allowed to get merchandise at misprices. one employee even told me a story of how a 350 dollar stereo was accidently 35 dollars last week but he couldnt get it cause he was an employee.

you havent noticed my weekly ad postings? i get the following weeks ad as early as monday morning or thursday morning the latest....
 
to be honest, i didnt look at the posting date/time. If you get them that quick, more power to you man!!
 
CC's usually receive games shipments in on Thursdays, so it should be there by Friday if there's going to be a restock for next weekend. I personally hope there will be, there were a few games that I know my CC had the day before that weren't there when the store opened today.
 
this has already been mentioned in other posts but they should be backstocking so they have something in stock, cuz when someone shows up when they open and they have nothing they get pissed. and have the legal right to sue.
