The coolest show ever...

...at least that's what I used to think. However, I just watched an episode of Super Mario Bros. Super Show, a series that I used to think was cool, and now I realize how terrible it was.

With that said, does anyone know where I can find some Mighty Max VCR videos? I highly doubt it will ever come out on DVD. I only found two in stock at Amazon (the third is going for $70) and I bought both.

I need more. I remember it being the coolest show ever, and I want to see if I'm right. ;)

Mighty Max was a great show. If you're feeling ambitious, you can find them on Direct Connect. I can help you find the specific hubs if you need (PM me if you do).

I just looked on ebay, and obviously the DVD ones are fake. ;)

I have Cyclops and Sleeping Dragons.

PMed. ;)

I remember a cartoon that had robots... It had some kind of 3d sequence and the guy called the Botz or something... I can't remember anything else.
Beast Wars. Totally Beast Wars.
Beast Wars was also awesome, but they had too many filler episodes and it got boring.

Was it Bots Master or something like that? I remember the toys for the show that came with the glasses, but I'm not quite sure of the exact name.

How about Reboot?

Ah, Mighty Max was great. I have every commercially released VHS tape, but I'd never part with them. I never even gave a thought to downloading it until now!

If we're talking old cartoons that need to be on DVD, I nominated Dungeons & Dragons. That series rocked, and after catching a few episodes on tv a few years back, I can say it's just as good as I remember. :)

You know what really needs to be on DVD?

The Tick.

The reruns on ABC Family are showing me that it's even funnier now that I'm older and get more of the jokes.

I remember most of those... yeah, the Mario shows ranged from awful to actually pretty good. I liked the Mario 3 cartoons, mostly because I still play the game often.

I also remember how great The Tick was, and I also just remembered that I want to finish Robotech. Anyone got any Robotech Legacy sets they're willing to part with?

/SPOON! :)
Mighty Orbots ... Turbo Teen ... Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors
Silverhawks ...
Not even a month ago I mentioned the Silverhawks at work and only one person knew what the hell I was talkin' about. I couldn't believe it. For a while there it pretty much went like this:

"Partly metal, partly real...? Silverhawks. No one...? Bad guy was just like Mumra but they were in space. Any bells goin' off at all...?"

The thing is, everybody knew who Mumra was...

Anyway, found a bunch of Tick sounds here.

I actually have every episode on 4 DVDs in about VCR quality (no Tivo DVDrs back then ;-) )

I'll burn you copies for $20 for 4 DVDs.

Yeah yeah whatever... You can all like your shows, blah blah, but none of you have lived until you've seen EEK THE CAT.

ps reboot ownz

Anybody ever watch Mutant League? I used to think that cartoon was awesome cause of all the limbs getting ripped off the mutants lol.

When I read Mighty Max at the beginning of the thread, for some reason the only thing I could think of was Fantastic Max. I dunno why. Remember? The baby with the Mohawk that went on space adventures and couldn't pronounce his R's?

I do remember Mighty Max though. I had a bunch of the toys. It was like Polly Pocket for boys. Totally rocked!

I totally agree, the Tick needs to be on DVD. If the live action one gets a release, so should the cartoon!

Back in middle school and elementary school, I remember Fox alwayys changing their 2:30 timeslot, and two of my faves were Stunt Dawgs and Samurai Pizza Cats. Anyone remember those?

When I saw the subject line of this thread, I thought to myself "Oh, cool- a thread about Arrested Development. Or maybe Futurama. Or Buffy.... or Farscape...or..."

Oh well. Those shows get my votes. (I get more than one vote because I'm older and bigger than everyone else  )

That show did rock...

Mutant League was surprisingly awesome. I gotta look around for that now.

When is it on?

I used to have a mitsu mighty max truck and had a cut out I made and attached to a magnet on the tailgate. Man, was that a good 'toon

That show C.O.P.S was pretty bad ass... about the upgraded police officers who fought against Big Boss and the syndicate.

It had that awesome roll call at the beginning.

I was in Best Buy the other day and found that they released "DANGER MOUSE" on DVD, that gave me a good chuckle...
Anyone else remember Captain Bucky O'Hare, the space rabbit guy, that was quite good, and Fantastic Max...
Also, it was live action, but remember that really cheesy Photon show from the 80s, maybe early 90s...
And to the guy that mentioned Silverhawks, are you kidding me???
Silverhawks has to be one of the crappier cartoons I can remember, next to Thundarr The Barbarian, and My Little Pony...
That show did rock...
Hey..... wait a second .......Turbo Teen didn't rock! It didn't rock at all! What was "I" thinking?

Yeah. Uh, no. This is the heirarchy of cartoons in the 90's:

1. Mighty Max - Norman makes it great
2. Eek!
3. Beast Wars (Beast Machines was pretty gay)
4. Street Sharks
5. The Tick
6. South Park
7. Rocko's Modern Life
8. Johnny Quest
9. Samurai Pizza Cats
10. Pinky and the Brain

That's the official list. I got it from God. He was all, "Show them this list and be their Keanu Reeves."

I didn't even know there was a TV show for that. What station was it on?

Wasting 45 seconds...

I miss the old Sonic the Hedgehog. The good one. With Princess Sally, Rotor, Bunny Rabbot ... Antoine. That was awesome. Way better than Sonic X.
THAT Sonic series needs a DVD set badly. I loved it.

Still need to finish collecting Robotech and start collecting Ronin Warriors.
Funny, after posting I checked around online and there is a DVD for it, but it only contains 5 episodes from season one. I just ordered it from Amazon. It's called "Sonic the Hedgehog: Super Sonic" if you want to try and pick it up.
