For all you Costco members, while you're out getting your bulk shopping and free samples of food ( :D Costco rocks!) you can check out their 3-packs of games for $30. Surprisingly, not all of them suck! I only checked the PS2 section while I was there, but heres the different games you can find in the pack.

I-Ninja, Rygar, Dark Angel, Beyond Good and Evil, Def Jam Vendetta, and Freakstyle.

You can find these games randomly assorted, so if you can find a I-Ninja, Def Jam, Rygar pack, you'll be in good shape.

Costco has a pack for each system, but I only checked out the PS2 packs.

Feel free to post the games from the other system's packs :D

Most of the individual games aren't really worth $10 (or, more to the point, can be had for less), or if they are, are just barely worth it. I noticed that one of the packs has room zoom, however, and I seem to recall a thread saying that traded high at FYE. YMMV.

You could probably buy any three of them separately for $20 plus your time and gas money, but if you want to make things easier on yourself, you could certainly do a lot worse than buying such a pre-packaged assortment. Dark Angel is probably the weakest title there, and I still liked it for what it was worth (generic beat-em-up with hot chick lead).

I got one of these. It was a GC 3-pack of Sphinx, Gotcha Force and Evolution Worlds.

I kind of like Gotcha Force, if not for the character designs alone.

The Costco experience is more than worth the money you spend on gas. Free food, deals on bulk food (hello top ramen!), and all you can drink soda for 55 cents. :D Oh yeah, and that game deal thing I was talking about...

Hey man what are you saying to get I-ninja over beyond good and evil? BG&E is the best game available in the three packs.

most of the games in these three packs are off year sports titles, but they sometimes slip in a current year sport title(about 6 months ago i almost picked up a 3 pack at costco that had mvp 04, plus 2 crappy off year sport titles, but i figured that mvp will be $3 somplace else when mvp 05 comes out and so that killed the deal right there)

here is the only real problem with this deal: you cant mix and match. You will see a $15 game packed with a couple of $5 games. Of course, if you want to sort through the pile of shit at costco, in hopes that maybe you find buried treasure that isnt a big deal(i look through stacks of crap games at eb game gamestop all the time, so looking through the bins at costco isnt all that different)

I love costco for things like there pizza and the cheap soda, and buying gum, booze and drinks in bulk. But there game three packs hmmm whats the word well words THEY LICK BALLS, no need to even go check in NY.

The last time I was at Costco (about 2 weeks ago), I remember seeing Kung Fu Chaos, Assorted old sports games like 2003 ones, cheap racing games, and stuff like that. Nothing really interesting.. More bad ones you can get for cheaper than $10 than good.

WHOAH! Gotcha Force!? I haven't seen that game for less than $30 by itself! Off to Costco I go!

thanks for the info

I just got back from the Costco near Studio City, CA, and they didn't have the three packs. I did pick up Gotcha Force at Sam's Club for 13 bucks about a month ago.

polish sausage > pizza

$1.50 for a larger than ordinary sausage and a soda. the pizza is like 2 bucks alone.

Mine has the usual $2.00 kirkland pizza (cheese, pepperoni, or combination), $1.50 Hotdog + Soda, $1.35 Smoothie, around $3 chicken bake, $1? yogurt pretzels, sugar bread stick things, and caesar salad. Their hotdogs are pretty good, IMO. But theres also tax.. :(
Us Michigander's aren't familiar with this "soda" stuff. We do have cheap pop machines at costco though.
I think they keep it behind the cola.

Can't believe anybody hasn't mentioned this one yet...

There is a bundle pack that includes Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Rayman 3, and some lame Batman game.

The lame Batman game indeed does suck, but the other 2 more than make up for the worth of $30. Especially POP, dang that was one of the best games of 200(3?). I've seen this deal for the Gamecube and the PS2, not sure bout Xbox.

Somebody mentioned there's a pack with Beyond Good and Evil. What are the other games bundled with it, and is there a bundle for the Gamecube version?

OMG TOP RAMEN SUCKS SO BADLY, Sapporo Ichiban is the best. Must be Houli boy.

OK how is it possible that no one mentioned the vanilla ice cream bar dipped in choclate with almonds on top? for a buck fifty it is delicious

GC packs I've seen were odd combos...

Old EA sports titles, Rocky, Crazy Taxi, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, some racing title. Can't remember the combos exactly.

NEVER saw BG&E or POP - I'd have stagged a trio just for one of those titles!

The BG&E was for the PS2 pack not the GC.

While the Costco 3-packs are do not contain the greatest games in the world, Costco usually gets in some good ones when they get bulk shipments for a certain platform (i.e. Xbox, GC, GBA cheapies).

Example: About two years ago they got a bulk shipment of PS1 games that had the Greates Hits version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night while it was still rare and going for 40+ on ebay, you can bet I bought a ton of them. I did the same thing with Moto GP for the Xbox, Costco got it in for 18.99 back when it was selling for 50. If you're lucky, you can get some good rarities for cheap or these games that have been reduced in value long before anyone else even thinks about dropping the price.

Edit: Oh, and yeah, the Costco food court rocks, but you don't really eat the hot dogs too often when you work there, you tend to get a little sick of them. But the pizza is a kickass deal, it's 2.00 for a 1/6 of a pizza, which is a lot bigger than anyone else will give you for that price. Those chocolate/almond covered ice cream bars are awesome too, as are the cheap mocha freezes.

Frankly, I just don't understand why people would spend 200 dollars at a grocery store when they could spend a little more at Costco and come away with at least 40% more stuff.
