If they really do commit to releasing 20+ Dreamcast games, I figured we should start a thread to keep track and discuss our nostalgia.

I know it's not much, but it will grow.

With the Dreamcast being my favorite console of all time, I will probably mindlessly buy anything that is released, especially if they stick to the $10 price tag.

I would also like to note that most of the newer released games will be on PSN also, although the release date will probably be different.

Let the nostalgia begin!

Sonic has not aged well, so I suggest people try the demo.

800 points is a great price for these...especially if a Chu Chu Rocket with online play comes out.

Chu Chu Rocket I have been waiting for since day one of XBLA. I was so used to the input lag on the Dreamcast version I wonder how I'll do on it real time. If Chu Chu Rocket doesn't come to XBLA I'll be soooo bummed. It is such a no-brainer.

I'll play the demo on sonic adventure, but honestly without them adding widescreen support I'll stick to my Dreamcast version on VGA. Glad to see the 10 dollar price point.

These are the titles that I would buy the hour they came out:
Alien Front Online
Outtrigger

I know they were arcade games, but other than that they were exclusive to the Dreamcast and were a blast in multiplayer.
I'm pretty sure Virtual ON already came out.. I don't know if you want to count that though.
Good idea. I never even knew it was the "Oratorio Tangram" version until now. Thanks.

Virtual-On was a great port, beautiful. IIRC they still had Dreamcasts on their backs. I didn't end up buying it though as I am a nerd who has the dreamcast system link cable and the Japanese twin sticks to play it. Makes me sad to play it with a controller lol.

So stoked for Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi is going to be depressing as all hell without The Offspring though.

Me too, day 1 purchase. Who cares if it aged terribly, it's still pretty much the greatest 3D Sonic game ever (and arguably the only one worth playing).

As for Crazy Taxi -- that's what Custom Soundtrack was made for ;)

Marvel vs Capcom 2, SF2 HDR, and Puzzle FIghter HDR were all based on their Dreamcast counterparts.

Then there is Ikaruga and Rez, but I dunno if they used the DC version to port them.

So it's confirmed that Crazy Taxi won't have the original soundtrack?

I'd normally buy JGR if/when it came out, but I still love having my custom downloaded graffiti, so I'll probably stick with the Dreacmast version.
You can also add Soul Calibur, which is also already out.
Great ideas. I'll add them!

But I dont know if Street Fighter 2 was ever released on Dreamcast. I know puzzle fighter was in JPN though.

^ Edit - Nevermind. Found something about a Dreamcast online version in Japan. It counts!

And yes, The XBLA version of Crazy Taxi will not have the original soundtrack. I threw a link up.

Yep. It was my first online game and I was addicted to it. I played single player years later on the GBA, and it just wasn't the same. Online is a must.

Sonic Adventure was my favorite Sonic game. It's just unfortunate that it comes out the day after Halo: Reach. Between that, the fact that I haven't gotten any of the Summer of Arcade games yet, and since I have my Dreamcast copy still, I'll be waiting.
Use Gamerankings instead. They have Dreamcast reviews in their system.
Thanks for the suggestion. Updated what I could!
They need to announce Powerstone 1 or 2.
^^ THIS ^^

I think I'd pay up to $40 for an online Power Stone game for 360.

God damn you made me want to rebuy an actual dreamcast....

I regret not having a job at like 14 years old. I certainly would love having a dreamcast around.

Power Stone is a Capcom game so unless they want to port it it's not happening. Personally they should just opt for a Power Stone 3.

Power Stone 1 just had more strategic fights which I liked but 2 got everyone together and had amazing set pieces. I think that a third game that melds them together is needed instead. Plus, Capcom could make use of high def visuals.

On that note, I hope that someone from Power Stone ends up in MvC3.
If you really can't wait, you can get the "Power Stone Collection" for the PSP. It has the first two, but sadly no online play. And you have to play with the nub.
Thanks for the link but I can't stand handheld gaming. I was contemplating buying another Dreamcast a few months back for this and possibly Shenmue if I could find it where it's not $60. I miss Phantasy Star Online too, I was so depressed when they started charging to play and then when they shut it down.

If Crazy Taxi doesn't have it's og soundtrack I'll have a hard time buying it. I still have my launch day dreamcast and a collection of games if I really want to kick it old school.

From what I've read, it does NOT have the "og" soundtrack. I'm guessing they didn't want to shell out for the rights to the songs for a XBLA release.

That and I think the locations in the game (Pizza Hut, KFC, etc.) are gone as well. :(
That and I think the locations in the game (Pizza Hut, KFC, etc.) are gone as well. :(
Yeah I read the locations were gone too. That bothers me more than the soundtrack since one can always rip The Offspring's Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre albums and play those instead of whatever crap they replace The Offspring with. I'll still try out the demo, but with locations gone it kind of takes a huge bit out of the nostalgia factor.

half that list of games suck and I have a little more than half of the games listed but damn, I don't see why they aren't releasing more games quickly. There is a market and $ to be made on alot of classic games. 360, ps3, pc and such...they're just sitting on a pile of money.
Updated today with lots of Crazy Taxi info!

11/24 for XBLA, 11/23 for PSN. $10.
I've always wanted a Dreamcast for this game (and Jet Grind Radio =P~) so now I could finally play it and in HD!

I owned this game on Dreamcast. I'm definitely interested in trying the demo for the XBLA version. If it is a lame port like Sonic Adventures, I'll be skipping it. Seeing that it is widescreen gives me hope. :)

I won't miss The Offspring from the new version. I heard that song enough on the Dreamcast. I'll just play my own music since the 360 can do that.

The Space Channel 5 I get, but I'm at a loss as to the addition of the Bass Fishing. Not saying it's a good or bad game (never had a dreamcast so never got to play most of the games), it just seems like an odd addition.

First of all, you're absolutely right. Second of all, no one gives a shit about a bass fishing game, and the fact that they would port it over and then CHARGE people is completely absurd.

What a waste of bandwidth and time, instead of porting over at the very least an average game, they port over Bass Fishing.

They need to port over Power Stone 2 cuz I need to kick people's asses and collect their power stones.

Sega Bass Fishing was already ported to Wii as a retail release, so that doesn't shock me. It's honestly not terrible, though Marine Fishing was way cooler.

It's an arcade fishing game, no more, no less. It's almost totally pointless without the badass fishing rod controller, though. That thing was like half the fun.

Oh, and totally in for Crazy Taxi. I can't resist that.

Bass Fishing was pretty fun and I don't generally get into games like that. Maybe Sega is trying to get a quick cash in on the people with the bass controller for Xbox. (wish they would try to cash in on the Tony Hawk Ride/Shred players and release Top Skater...)
