ok I know we all must wonder what some folks screen names mean so let's play a game. The person that posts after me needs to guess what my SN means. After he guesses I will edit my post to show the answer. And then the person who posts after him has to guess his. Game on!

answer is Jeremy Larlee. The advantage of an odd last name is no competition for email addresses

Since I'm always asked this one, I'll bite.

Zewone - #1 in France!

EDIT: Banky - artist from Chasing Amy/Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back

WhipSmart has some significance too, if anyone cares to venture a guess...

EDIT: Whip-Smart is the title of a Liz Phair album.

Y'all forgot about poor Derwood there. I've got no guess, so I won't bother, but don't leave him out. Love that avatar. Makes me laugh.

Seems too obvious, but I'd say doubledown is a blackjack reference.
Chickenhawk
The character from the Warner Bros cartoon. The sometimes nemesis of Foghorn Leghorn
It actually came from a song parody (a parody of what song I don't recall) that a co-worker had heard on X-mas. Something along the line of "Chickenhawk, the Christmas Bitch". That whole holiday season that guy called me that and Chickenhawk kinda stuck from then on. Maybe this is the source of the parody, or....
Also: Chickenhawk is the name of a documentary on members of NABLA - Men who love little boys.
...this could have been the source as well. I didn't know this at all. Makes me want to change my name kinda. :? Nah!

Judging from your screen name and avatar, you are a middle-aged white man working as a cologne salesman in the mall. You get no support from your boss, your wife or your ex-wife, who cheated on you with the lawnmower boy.

 Good one.
WhipSmart is an album by... someone. I remember hearing Banky explain that once.
Maybe somebody trying to copy Devo or give homage. You know "crack that whip, whip it good".

Admiral Ackbar....Ummm that guy on his avatar from Star Wars

***Well the Linkin Park fan is right, but not Metroid Prime..its Optimus Prime
Er... You're a Led Head.
You pretty much have it. I'm a big Zeppelin fan. Grateful Dead fans call themselves "Dead Heads," s I figure I'm a "Ledhed."
Linkinprime

you like linkin park and metriod prime?
Maybe a claim to be the original Linkin Park fan.

TomCloud9 ... Your name is Tom, you live on cloud 9.

Your the winner.

Hmm, since TomCloud has already been explained, I'll say for WarrenGekko that your real name is Warren and you have Geico insurance.

Answer: My last name is Gift, but that was too plain, so Gifuto is the romanji for how it would be written in katakana (this lousy minor has to be used for something). Then I added a "The" for more flavor.

You are completely wrong but I give you credit for coming up with such a crazy story (or did you steal the story from a Soap Opera or a bad episode of "desperate Housewives" ?? I don't know).

Thanks for the laugh though.

Good try.
It's a combination of two names
Warren Buffet - (the Oracle from Omaha)- This man borrowed 10K and invested it in the stock market and now is one of the richest men in the world. Started and CEO of Bershire Hathaway.

Gordon Gekko - Wall Street Raider from the move Wall Street played by Michael Douglas. Douglas won best supporting actor that year for his role. It was also his first serious role (previous movies were comedies) which now has made him the guy in Hollywood to play an Investment Banker. One of the best written movies of all time.

EDIT: You can see one of my favorite lines by Gekko in my sig.
You like tornados.
You like Kaiju. ... That's it I guess.

*EDIT* Name: Max, Gender: Guy, 56: Maxguy taken in most places, and the number are close to the Y.

I don't know why, but I originally thought he was referring to ZeroSupporT.
You like Lamborghini, and you were born in 77?
Jebus McLucifer = Jesus and Satan mixed??
dnt_h8me2 - Don't hate me too. I'm assuming you don't want to be hated as well. :)
Yup. mines not hard, though.

Actually I was driving around one time and I saw a pimped out Jaguar and the licence plate said DNT H8. My guess is that it was some rapper or something. Anyways, I just jacked the s/n from the plate.

He is. Sorry for the doublepost and me already going as well. :D

Well, the last couple of posters have already been exposed, so I will hazard a guess as to WhipSmartBanky...

We already have the 'Banky' part. I believe that "Whip-Smart" refers to an album by Liz Phair.

Now, who wants to take a crack at mine? Here's a hint: It's not a drug reference.

The meaning behind "Zincdust": I came up with my screen name back in 1996, back when Goldust was one of the monster heels in the WWF, and one of my favorite wrestlers. I randomly picked another element from the periodic table (Atomic #30: Zinc) and became... Zincdust!

Yes, a boring story, I know. 8)

zionoverfire-before you were arrested in 1987, you were a drug addict "flamer" who was in a gang called "the zions".

I know what you are thinking.....how does he do it???
