The GameQuest Direct Reprints Thread - Fatal Frame 2 & 3 (PS2) Confirmed - FF2 $30 AC

I would like to see Castlevania:SoN. I really need a new copy as the copy I have now is terribly scratched and doesnt play correctly.

I don't even understand this reprint business...

PS2:
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Ico

GameCube:
Mario DDR
Ikaruga
Which is crazy. I bet a reprint of Marvel vs Capcom 2 would easily outsell any Marvel Nemesis 2 EA has up their sleeves.
I dunno...there are a lot of dumbasses out there.

it comes down to an EA logo vs. capcom character recognition ;)
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - PS1
I thought I was the only one who liked that game! I hope it does get a reprint so that others may enjoy how great that game, and the manga for that matter, really is. It may not since it is a licensed game despite how obscure it is.

Here is my list:

PlayStation

Anything published by Working Desings (especially Elemental Gearbolt, Thunder Force V, and Vanguard Bandits)
Suikoden 1 and 2
Kartia
Klonoa
Brigandine
Persona 1
Tales of ... Destiny 1 and 2, Eternia, and Phantasia
Xenogears

Playstation II

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2
Growlanser Generations (Deluxe ver. would be nice!)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance (LE ver. would also be nice!)
Inuyasha: Feudal Combat
Shadow Hearts
.hack// Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine
Firefighter 18 F.D.

Dreamcast

Anything by Capcom (Especially Giga Wing 1 and 2, Gunbird 2, and Project Justice)

Gamecube

Ikaruga
Skies of Arcadia: Legends

That is all I can think of at the moment.

SMT: Nocturne, DDS1&2 as a set

And a .Hack complete set (the original 4) would be very cool.

Is there any chance these can be done with an alternate cover/game disc, like GH, although these are obviously not GH, a reprint in that method would allow collectors to maintain the value of the originals, while selling the new ones cheaper (more sales). There are a lot of reprints I'd be picking up in the $20-$30 range that I wouldn't for $50, and I suspect that wouldn't be uncommon

I'll also take a copy of Substance. I'd also take Power Stone 1 and 2. I know it was released for the PSP but those games need a big screen, a case of beer, and a couple of friends.

i have a few that i think might make it to reprinting:

Suikoden II
Persona: Revelation
Brigandine
Tactics Ogre
Project Justice
SMT: Nocturne

the other games mentioned in the thread are all great games.

Valkyrie Profile.. thats almost impossible to accomplish since Square-Enix is VERY notorious for re-re-re-releasing games, i am sure they are going to want to have a big chunk for that game. There are probably more VP games to come and so we cant for sure know when it'll be reprinted. I think it's safe to say that Nintendo is about the same as Square-Enix. although they most likely do their own re-prints (like DDR Mario, etc.)

Monster Hunter Freedom

dunno about that one.. there are still copies floating around on ebay and its fairly resonable brand new.

im shocked people even want vp reprinted. if your that hard up just get a psp and buy vp

That's the thing though. 2D fighters just don't sell in America anymore. I don't have any real sales figures at my fingertips but I bet Nemesis outsold MvC2.

they need to reprint that too as the psp version is kind of hard to find.

I'd be interested in knowing exactly what systems are eligible for reprints. Could they theoretically do Saturn games? PDS instantly jumps to mind.

Hopefully these

Tactics Orge
Tales of Destiny I & II
Suikoden I & II
Vargrant Story
Valkyrie Profile

Woot awesome old school games

Edit: Idea! Square will relese Valkyrie Profile and Suikoden 2 on teh same disk for 29.99 for ps2.

fun killer

Suikoden 2 would be awesome. I would keep a copy sealed, another opened to play with and the third just to stare at! It would be great for me, and fuck alot of ebayers over.
im shocked people even want vp reprinted. if your that hard up just get a psp and buy vp
Um... you do understand that a PSP costs $169, right? That's more than what the average VP sells for. If they don't want to shell out $120, why would they want to spend $169+the price of VP:L?

My list:
Suikoden 2- I've always wanted to play it.
Bust A Groove 1+2- More people should play these. Two of my favorite games.
Valkyrie Profile- I've only played the PSP version, and I want to see it on a big screen.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga- Should be appreciated by everyone. Not to mention Persona 3 may make prices on these skyrocket.

That'd be fun and all, if it weren't for the fact that Konami has and always will be the developers and publishers of the Suikoden series. I do applaud you though, for thinking Square had the talent to create such a masterpiece :whistle2:D

Bust-a-Move 4
Crazy Taxi 2
D2
Giga Wing
Giga Wing 2
Gunbird 2
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Mars Matrix
Project Justice
Quake III Arena
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil Code: VERONICA
Seaman
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Street Fighter III: Third Strike
Super Magnetic Neo
Tech Romancer
Whacky Races

IF they do accessories, then you KNOW the Broadband Adaptor, Light Gun, Samba de Amigo maracas, Arcade Stick and first party VMUs need to be brought back.

PlayStation
Alundra
Breath of Fire IV
Castlevania Chronicles
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Dragon Warrior VII
Elemental Gearbolt
Final Fantasy Tactics
Grandia
Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth
Jade Cocoon
Lunar: Silver Star Story
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
Mega Man Legends 2
Metal Gear Solid
Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Parasite Eve 2
Parappa the Rapper
Persona 2
SaGa Frontier
SaGa Frontier 2
Strider 2
Suikoden
Suikoden 2
Star Ocean: The Second Story
Tales of Destiny
Tales of Destiny 2
Tomba!
Wild Arms
Wild Arms 2
Valkyrie Profile
Xenogears

In addition, PSOnes and the LCD screens should be brought back, if possible.

Nintendo 64
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Dr. Mario 64
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Mario Party 2
Mario Party 3
Mischief Makers
Snowboard Kids

Nintendo brand memory card and expansion pack, as well.

Game Boy Advance
Advance Wars
Fire Emblem
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Metal Slug Advance
Super Ghouls n Ghosts

GameCube
Cubiviore
Mario Power Tennis

PlayStation 2
Devil May Cry Collection
Ico

Saturn
Burning Rangers
Christmas NiGHTS
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Panzer Dragoon Zwei

Super NES
Chrono Trigger
Contra III: The Alien Wars
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Killer Instinct
Super Mario RPG

Genesis
Dynamite Headdy
Phantasy Star II
Phantasy Star III
Phantasy Star IV
Rocket Knight Adventures
Sparkster
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3

And that's everything at the top of my head from all the systems they offer game selections for.

I'd also like to suggest that they PLEASE drop the prices on a crap ton of their games as a lot of "retail price" listings they have are grossly false. Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 on GameCube was NEVER $99.99 and should never be, especially considering the official online servers have been closed. Animal Crossing is a Player's Choice title, thus retailing at $19.99, NOT $39.99. A 2000 Wii Points card doesn't cost $29.99 in stores; it's $19.99. But you get the point. A lot of these are extremely overpriced and actually cost more with shipping included, rather than going to a local store to purchase them.

Is that uber rare, rare, or just uncommon? I've seen it quite a few times.
fun killer
no i just dont want gamequest to hear everyone requesting these games and then picking a midcore game thinking people would pay 50 for it and no1 does, They lose their ass on it and dont bring out the better games.

and dont want to hear

They want 50 bucks for a ps 1 game , man they are just trying to rip us offf
GameCube
Mario Power Tennis
I think this was reprinted recently, the eBay prices have plummeted. Looks like you can pick up a mint, complete copy for $20-ish, sealed ones going around $30.
Is that uber rare, rare, or just uncommon? I've seen it quite a few times.
A little of both. You'll generally find it used, though. Came out after the beginning of 2002, which was fairly early into the GameCube's life. Used prices are around $40 at god damned GameStop.

Dunno, never saw a single one in stores since it vanished from shelves. And I sure as hell can't be bothered to actually search eBay for a sealed copy at that price. :(

also idk if this is ok to reprint but the orginal Disgaea

i thinks its 2 expensive for a ps2 game... i think is more than the second one of ps2

Advance Wars would be nice but i dont think it will happen cause the second advance wars for teh ds is supposed to come out this year WOOT

props tsukento for putting ur games in order by name... SKILLZ

Disgaea just recently got reprinted. It's $30 new everywhere (Amazon, GS/EB, Atlus's Store, etc.).:D

um all the recent listings are around $30 for a used one, and $40-ish for a sealed copy.

I would be incredibly happy (and shocked) if they could reprint the European version of Shenmue 2 for the Dreamcast. Of course, I highly doubt this would happen, but hey, it's worth a shot.

Alundra
Breath of Fire III & IV
Dragon Warrior VII
Grandia I & II
Suikoden I & II
Tales of ...
Valkyrie Profile

Make website more aesthetically pleasing. Out of stock games should not be listed. Retail prices need to be adjusted to actual MSRP. Lower prices to actual retail or lower.

Briefly looking at the site and seeing nearly every game with OUTRAGEOUS 'retail' prices turns most people away from what appears a shady site.

funny i did not feel a disturbance in the flow of soul ;)

oh well choices choices choices (currently looking for FF7)

Also it looks like GQD should do everything they can to get a reprint of Suikoden II

And if i was GQD i would do everything i could to get Valkyrie Profile reprinted

(cause its fun to fuck ebay sellers)

disgaea 2 is also 10 at some walmarts YMMV big time. picked up another 2 last week. due to needing tires badly dumped them both on ebay for 36 each

I want to ask a question and see how many people who are naming these games really buy them.

If they sold these remakes at 50 bucks each would you buy them. Im sure 90% of these games we are naming people wouldnt buy at 50

I know i would have to think twice before i would spend 50 bucks even on Suikoden II or Valkyrie Profile

Maybe 30 bucks BUT they would have to sell so many copies i doubt we would see that low ... Remember these are reprints meaning their vaule will crash so dont think

I BUY one today at 50 and it will fly back to 150 within 6 months cause persona 2 and that other game never recovered

love to see the company stick up a poll before it really picks a game to see how much people would pay for the game before they invest tons of money into 1 game that dont sell then we never get any other reprints : )

if they could do a collection i would love to see a

BREATH OF FIRE 1 to 4 (on 1 disc) would pay 50
Shining force 1 and 2 for the psp or ds Would pay 30 or even 40
panzer dragon saga i would probally pay 40 though since i no longer own a saturn it needs release on another system what will not happen

though will never happen
Suikoden 1 - 4 on a PS3 disc i would pay major for that

Beyond Good & Evil - GameCube

Is it worth getting on another, more affordable platform instead of wasting my money and time finding a GameCube version?
Beyond Good & Evil - GameCube

seeing how the cube version is missing the ability to center the camera by clicking on the analog stick, yes.

I want to see Little League Baseball somewhere :D

Though I know that won't happen anywhere except the virtual console, I think I am going to have to throw my hat in for....

SKULLMONKEYS!!

Great game, damn hard to find.

Edit: Not sure how this would work but there are some computer games called Legend of Kyrandia (I think there were 3 of them). They would be great for the Wii

When it comes to multiplatform titles of that gen, it was either the Xbox or GameCube versions that were the choices. The PlayStation 2 ports tended to be shoddy. Luckily, if you can find the Xbox version used at GameStop, that'll be the cheapest buy since that version's $6.99, whereas PS2 is $7.99 and GameCube...is $14.99.

Do note that the Xbox version isn't backwards compatible with the 360 yet.

this game was rare from the moment it came out. took me awhile to find a copy of it.. since they never had alot of copies in the first place. alot of stores in nyc had it but were overpriced. i ended up buying it for $12 i think at blockbuster. if only they'd marketed this well it would have been a great hit. i think sony pretty much just experimented on its release or maybe it was just a filler title. they've had very poor marketing for that game too eventhough the reviews from all the magazines were great.

I'll jump on the band wagon and say I would like to see these get reprints:
Suikoden
Suikoden II
Valkyrie Profile (though, the new PSP will allow you to play it on a TV when it comes out)

Unlikely reprint (due to licensing) would be:
Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS2 and Xbox

I have a copy for the PS2 but its missing the instructions and the music cuts out on the stage with the bell.

You know, I find it kinda funny that GQD is saying that they'll try to reprint games CAGs want... yet most of the games requested by CAGs thus far are those worth money on eBay (and hence, games GQD are probably going to reprint anyway).

and yeah its quite funny
