The Good, the Bad and the Last Movie You Saw

Hide and Seek- Not too bad. Not as scary as I expected.

Steamboy- Wow. Very cool flick. Quite a spectacle. I even watched the English dubbed version. Excellent job by Anna Paquin as the main character.

Cutthroat Island- The film that single-handedly bankrupted a film studio. An over-the-top pirate yarn that is actually quite enjoyable in a cheesy matinee kind of way (except Matthew Modine is quite the h0m0 in it).

the professional

hustle and flow (i really liked this movie inspite of the mtv audience it caters to.)

Tremors and Tremors 4. I love Tremors, while 4 was just...different. I can't believe that Michael Gross is still involved in the series after 15+ years, maybe Tremors in Space is next up.

Kicking and screaming with my sister. It had a couple of funny bits, but overall it wasn't too great. Maybe that's because I (seriously) fell asleep about 3/4ths of the way through.

Currently watching the first disc of Now and then, Here and There or something like that, pretty good so far.

no, no, its Graboids Vs. Jaws ... in space next silly. Either that, or "Tr3m0rz 'N the H00D"

Night of the Living Dead

Finally got around to seeing it, great, classic horror film, it lives up to its reputation. And I must say, the ending caught me off guard, but worked perfectly.
The Mirror

Wow, one of the greatest films I've ever seen. Sorry Zman
*sigh* Figures. There isn't any chance you could, you know, steal it and lend it to me, is there?

City Of God, really good movie
Spirited Away, i really don't like anime(bring on the flames) but I really enjoyed this movie

Rounders - Decent movie, just liked it a lot
War of the Worlds - Didn't like it that much, but there was a couple good scenes

you like my avatar? ;)
The Dukes of Hazzard. Pure garbage. I wanted my money back and I didn't even pay to see it.
What, you were expecting a five-star movie? It's got those jackasses Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville, pretty much demoting it to 'Plan Nine From Outer Space' status.

Pi

Very good. I found it to be constantly engaging with its Eraserhead inspired surrealism and the complex intertwining of math, Jewish religious sects and Wall Street that made up the story. Sure, a few parts of the movie could have been explained better or more fleshed out, but I think that some of the vagueness of the elements of the movie enhanced its effect.

Swingers, and before that, Wedding Crashers

Vince Vaughn is now officially my favorite comedic actor.

I'm sorry.

It was one of Jackie Chan's least enjoyable films IMO. The cover of the dvd is extremely misleading.

Cool Hand Luke

Great film, loved the performance from Paul Newman. I thought it did a great job of making you aware of the anti-authoritarian themes without being heavy handed about it. I also thought that the second half was stronger than the first half, but all of it was great. Worth checking out.
Seven Samurai. It was incredible.
Agreed. EVERYONE should either own/ see this movie!

And I just watched Ghostbusters 1 on dvd a few hours ago. A entertaing classic popcorn flick. I haven't seen it since I was a kid.

Paparazzi (2004) - 0/5

Utter crap, bad actcting, bad screenplay, bad movie! It felt like a USA movie but worse. I like the idea around the movie but then it turned into a Steven Seagal-esque movie. The only good thing was the cameos. WARNING DO NOT WATCH THIS!

Cool Hand Luke is on my top 10 favorite list. Great flick, anyone who hasn't seen CHL rent it, buy it or catch it on cable.

Regular I really want to see DC though. I didnt know they was even thinking of a sequal thats cool.

Red River

Eh, thought it was pretty disappointing, given its reputation. Certainly had some good points, but is really never more than above-average. The cringe-inducing (but mercifully short) romantic interludes and the ending were the biggest problems with the movie, but the rest of it, while not containing serious flaws, just never connected with me, got me involved in it. It just seemed like a decent, kinda conventional western.
