I went to pre-order Uncharted 2 today and it turns out it is only 59.99 at eb games. Did a quick check and it's the same at future shop.

I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come. Now that the Canadian dollar is almost on par with the American dollar, Canadian retailers are finally paying attention.

While this is only confirmed for Uncharted, I think we will see this with other games in the coming weeks. A similar thing happened last year at around this time.

screw it just going to pick up my copy of uncharted 2, screw the $10..

Interesting...I got my $10 back on EDGE card when I picked my game up. I did a trade 3 for it as well, and showed my receipt which indicated I did so. It was the manager too, so he should've known about this e-mail. Oh wells, hooray for me!
 
i picked up my game and the person told me I used T3G1 so I can't get the game cuz.. its just considered a free game then.

I thought they were suppose to take your trade 3 games for preorder receipt, she gave it back to me. Now I have the old receipt and the new pickup preorder receipt.
 
Went to pick up my copy of Uncharted 2 today, expecting to get $10 back in store credit, but the manager explained to be that when I did the T3G1F promo, the price was irrelevant. That's the part where I took out my The Source printout of the game at 54.99, for a price match...they actually gave me back $5 in store credit, go figure...

Yep, I did it for "Halo: ODST" when Futureshop had it on for $5 less ... worked just fine.

I can understand why EB wouldn't give the extra $10 back...when you do the T3, it qualifies for a game up to $69.99, so it's the consumer's choice which game they chose to pre-order. I have Uncharted 2 waiting to be picked up, but for some reason I really want to get the Fallout 3 GOTY Edition. I've never played Fallout 3. :oops:
 
I think the trick is to just use your ID and not the receipt when you pick it up. Did my pickup yesterday (I did a T3) and they gave me $10 CASH back lol. I put it towards GoW Collection.
 
I don't think so because when I got my copy of U2, It said Trade Promo on my receipt, I think the manage wrote it when i T3'd it. So maybe they got the e-mail when it shipped in.

Or it might be true.. damn should have just used b ID instead...
 
I've heard that they can only see it was a T3 by the barcode on the receipt while the computer only shows that you paid it off in full.
 
You can always change it to a $69.99 game, (ie Fallout 3 GOTY) and pick that game up, then return it unopended a few days later for full credit back.
