Is anybody else overcome with sadness over the fact that you can count on one hand the number of PS3 games coming out before April? Its the same for both the 360 and the Wii as well, but Im most dissapointed by the PS3. I have this 600 dollar system sitting in my front room and no games to play except Resistance for the immediate future.

Please, join me in venting frustrations or with tales of how you plan to make it through the famine.

Haven't I seen this thread before?
And haven't I said I have a backlog of games on PSP, DS, and PS2 to finish?

There's plenty of games out there.

Thats a mighty big hand :p

OP, you have very little clue what you're talking about. There are a ton of good games coming out between now and March.

I had no idea Flow was finally being released so soon.
Can't wait for the pretty graphics on that. And soothing music.

Well sorry. Guys, I was just looking through gamespots upcomming list and I was comming up dry. The only thing Im really interested in on that list is Lair. Also, about a third of that list is already out on other systems.

You know, there are nicer ways of pointing out Im incorrect without jumping down my throat.

Like most new systems, it takes a good year before you start seeing a regular stream of games, and until then it can feel like nothing is comming out. Look at the 360, for at least 3/4 of a year into the system's life, there just wasn't alot of things to play. The Wii is in the same situation.

Sure, I have some games I still have to finish. But I just see little to get excited about in the near future for any system.

There are 5 games I am interested in trying.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is on the list for March, that could change though.

Cooperative Multiplayer! Play the main Mercenaries 2 campaign with the help of your friends.

* Play with fire! Ground breaking, general purpose fire technology lets you set fire to buildings, vehicles and people. Shoot holes in the sides of fuel trucks, watch the oil spill under the feet of unsuspecting enemies and light it on fire with a match!

* Travel over/under water! Don't worry about drowning ever again: use watercraft or swim to traverse the oceans, rivers and lakes of Mercenaries 2.

* Build your own Private Military Company! Increase and customize your support options by recruiting other mercenaries you meet in the game!

* A massive, reactive, and completely unscripted game world! The world of Mercenaries 2 is larger than all of the maps of the first game combined and is jam-packed full of colorful characters and environments. And this time, every action you make has ramifications throughout the entire country.

* Cool new toys! Dozens of weapons, vehicles and support options are available for to use to blow the crap out of everything! Use the new grappling hook to latch on to flying vehicles and commandeer them in the sky! Or pick up a vehicle with people inside, and drop it in the water.

* Work for the highest bidder! Clients will offer you money, information and other resources in exchange for your services – provided you haven't done anything to piss them off!

Thats why I have multiple systems and such a backlog of games to start and hopefully finish. I must have a couple hundred I havent even opened.

All of these games have been out for 360 for quite a while. I bought Splinter Cell back in November and I already finished the game and sold it on ebay for $39....

Why are these games coming out so late for the ps3?

Let me fix that for you.

There, much better.

Perhaps, it's personal preference, but come on, there is nothing interesting or intriguing about any of those.

Serious? I think Lair, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, and VF5 all look pretty impressive. Toss in a baseball game for opening day, and I'm all set! Oh, and Gripshift is a pretty under-rated PSP game, I'm anxious to see the ps3 version.

I'm not particularly worried. I have plenty of 360 games to work on, Zelda to finish on the Wii, and 4 PS3 games to play through.

Compared to the 360 & Wii, PS3 has a lot to look forward to in Q1.
