Dammit, I'm gonna be poor.

Also, I happen to be drinking a Sam Adams Cream Stout, from the holiday sampler I got a while back.
Same.

How is the cream? I've never had one. It looks like I can't get New Belgium anywhere in Ohio.

Tomorrow night, our lives will change. An execution, what a sight! Tomorrow night!
Nice.

It's all right. Not as good as the Cranberry Labmert or Winter Mix ones, IMO.
Everyone I've talked to said that they didn't like their Winter lager seasonal.
Really? I liked that one quite a bit.

I like the Cream Stout a lot, as well as the Winter Lager. I think I like the Cream Stout more because I've never even seen a 6/12 of it, only out of the mix packs. The Winter Lager I've had 12 packs of multiple times. The Cranberry Lambert is good, but it's more like a wine than beer IMO, just because it's so fruity.

I had a 32 oz. of some crazy dutch beer not too long ago and it was really dark and also unfiltered. It was kind of hoppy but you could taste the yeast in it which gave it a really woodsy/earthy taste; I loved it.

Maybe you guys were right about my gaming tastes. I didn't think The Wheelman was all that bad.

My mission to fix the leaky sink was a big failure. :(

Yeah, I never got around to trying it, but we still have some at work.

The pack I got today has the black lager, the Irish red, and and blackberry witbier.

Have you tried any of these?

No, but that sounds like a mighty nice pack. I'll have to look for it tomorrow.
Yeah it is...but it seems I suck at it...maybe I should play easy mode first
I'm stuck at the Viking.

I love when restaurants think they're taking too long. Getting everything on the house is awesome.

It's also awesome for the waiter, who gets a ridiculous tip.

Tonight was great, getting dinner for free.

Hey, zewone/moneything:

That's a 5.4GB install and I haven't even run the utility that strips out the useless languages and Power PC instructions out of the app library, which should bring it down below 5GB. Opting out of all the bullshit printer drivers/fonts/dictionaries before you install vs manually deleting them yourself afterwards makes a big difference and having 10.5.6 integrated into the initial install might be a big help for you guys. I'm kind of really glad that my first install shit its pants.

Sweet. I can't wait to get this shit. I have to find a external DVD drive to install this bitch.

The 360 HD DVD drive works if you've got one of those.

The 8GB USB drive that I bought to boot OSX off of was like 2% too small so I ended up having to throw it on my real external USB hard drive but that worked without issue too.

The actual mini cost me $156 plus tax and then I bought a 16GB SSD for $40 and 2GB of RAM with Amazon credit from that Watchmen movie cash scheme.

Cool. Does the OSX86 shit work without any hitches? I remember I tried it out a couple years back and there were a few incompatibilities and whatnot.

It depends on the hardware. OSX on the Mini 9 feels native, partly because a lot of the hardware is actually used in real Macs. For example, the integrated video and wireless cards I think are used in the Mac Mini and Macbook Air respectively. The experience is pretty much 99% like what you'd get if a real Mac netbook existed.

EDIT: The only real weakness aside from the keyboard layout is that it just can't do extensive Flash video at a reasonable rate. Stuff like Hulu or Netflix Instant watch or Youtube HD are awful on it. I blame Flash for this because it can stream Divx over wifi without a hiccup and I've also seen that it's capable of editing SD video in Final Cut Pro or functioning as a 4 track recorder reasonably well in Garage Band.

'Fast and Furious' was fucking sweet as expected.

Also, I may have missed on yesterday's woot shirt but I just bought this one:

Thanks for reminding me! I went ahead and got one of those also. :D

I missed the entire Ryback Wolve video.

Things I enjoyed. The fact that a glitter joke I made 2 years ago is still alive and kicking. Good work wolve.

Other things I enjoyed.....the bent over "fuck you soodmeg, fuck you soodmeg!" by Ryback himself.

Its nice to know people are thinking about me, I want to meet up with Shrike.

2k!?!?!? Actually, that sounds about right. This guy was selling one and he priced his at 2,500 bucks. Of course, I said it was outrageous and for him to lower it, which he did to about 2k.

But he then sold it to someone else for the original price.

I bought mine for 3.5k new about 2 years ago. I'd say between the new cameras, the prominence of HD now, and the depreciation, it's about 2k now... but mine's also in pristine condition (nothing broken, I use it only a few times a year)... so I'd say I could probably get upwards of 2.75 for it if I could find the right buyer.

See that is the biggest thing I am worried about. I know 4 people with cameras that cost 3-5k. All of them say they only used it a couple times a year.

I dont know if I want to invest in something that I am only going to use a couple times a year. Its kind of a hassle to rent/borrow equipment but it seems a much easier route.
Ya mang, if you want the high quality stuff you need a 3 CCD camera.
So my miniDV cam is no good? I need a HD cam to properly blackmail wimmins?

:wall:

Mogumbo is TN,TD

And holy christ at the amount of things I "missed," while I was away this year. I dot think I nearly as much stuff happened last year when I left.

Kayden and Liquid banned? Darth silenced? Casey/Wolve meet up.

Naw man, mine is MiniDV non-HD. But it's 3 CCD which makes it look like a great non-HD video. Or film if I set it up on 30p

CCD? What is that?

Only CCD I know about is Catholic classes for kids who went to public school.

I discovered a way to shoot in HD with my Sony Handycam, a couple months back.
