The Howard Stern Thread

Richard and Sal are going to wreck her show. I hope they do prank calls to the show, that would be hilarious. For some reason I don't see howard making fun of her the way he does to artie and the others. I hope artie really rips her a new one, he's always hilarious when he's mad like the time he got mad at jason for his comments on the wrap up show.

"You hairy gay virgin $$$$$$!"

That was crazy. I thought he was joking at first and then the rest of the room stopped laughing and I realised he was being scary serious.

I also thought he was joking at first. It was weird listening to artie being serious for once. I can never really tell if artie is being serious or not because he always speaks in the same tone.

I picture richard and sal being funny and nice guys. I've seen artie when he came to symphony hall a while ago. He was one funny bastard. He pretty much let anyone back stage and have a drink. Having gilbert in was again hilarious. Even the tobey maguire interview was pretty funny.

I'm a day behind so I'm listening to Kenneth Keith Kallenbach right now. Thankfully he's not on the show much anymore. I just heard the sour shoes thing .. I could listen to him and Howard (as Cousin Brucie) interact all day. Apparently Bigfoot is coming up. I wonder if his segment will have anything to do with how he discovered he's being "excriminized housing".

EDIT: That Bababooey prank call was friggin hysterical.

ehh.. yesterday's news was kind of weak.. I like when Gilbert just flows with the news... Howard seems to want to rush through it.. and btw.. he was wrong for leaving the dinner in the way he did...

Towards the end when gilbert and artie started to get on a roll howard kind of just ended the show. Yeah I agree howard leaving was a dick move on his part but according to his co-workers thats howard being howard. I'm also surprised beth even agreed with the others that he was an asshole for leaving.

Its getting rather old having Howard rush Robin through the news so fucking much. Yes, today he was actually in a rush to do something afterwards for the company but this shit goes on EVERY day and gets old quick.

Agreed, that and his insane amount of vactions hes been taking sonce moving to sirus are rather annoying.

Wow, I think the news has been fine...people just like to bitch. Sometimes Robin just likes to talk too much. I loved the banter with Gilbert and Artie during the news.

"Cubs Win, Cubs Win"....greatest line ever.

I'm watching the Entourage with Artie in it right now. He's a terrible actor and its a miracle he gets gigs like this but I love the guy. Him, Sal, and Richard are the best thing to ever happen to the show.
"Cubs Win, Cubs Win"....greatest line ever.
Oooh yeah, aaaah yeah, fucking Cubs win, Cubs win, aaah yeah, oooh, over and fucking out.

So whats everyone's favorite quotes from soundclips Fred plays? Mine would have to be "fuck you!" "What are you a homo? OOOOO" and "You fucking nincom-fucking-poop"

Fred has a way with the sound clips...he always seems to be at a certain one and knows when to play it at the best time.

Im sure I posted before but when he plays Gilberts laugh during Robins news at a time where laughing in inappropriate, like when they talked about the mother crack whore or whatever microwaved the baby, I felt bad for laughing when he did the laugh track.

Today was a perfect example of Fred using Gilbert's laugh at a bad time but you cant help but laugh.

The mentally disturbed guy that stabbed his deaf girlfriend then eventually choked her and threw her wheel chair on her along with anything else he could get his hands on. Truly a sad story but I couldnt help but laugh when Fred started in with the Gilbert laugh tracks.

The Richard earning 5000.00 on the show today bit was F'N HILLARIOUS!

Prepare yourself for horror. Jeff the Drunk's disgusting, diseased ass:

DONT FORGET!!!!!!!
ANDY DICK ROAST IS TOMORROW!!!!!!
Don't miss Artie, Rev. Bob Levy, Lisa Lampanelli, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Greg Fitzsimmons, Yucko, Sal, Richard and Benjy roasting Andy Dick...

Normally I wouldnt be too excited since its just another roast. Although all of em have been funny except the Daniel Carver roast, but that was funny in its own way as it bombed...but the Andy Dick comedian lineup looks GREAT if everyone actually shows. I was surprised Dave Attel is gonna be there.

i can't wait.. the baba booey roost was the best by far.. Artie was a close second.. I can't wait to crack up during work tomorrow..

Can't for this also. The line up looks hilarious and hopefully andy will just sit there instead of always running around trying to be funny after every joke someone says.

I hate being stuck a day behind at work... I pulled up to work as they broke away for break before Lisa Lampanelli. Since they blocked streaming media at work and every remote proxy website known to man, I have to download each show and listen to it the day after it aired. I wish they'd put a terrestrial repeater in every damned city in the country. I agree though.. the lineup looks great.

I hear that. I work in Harrisburg, PA and my radio worked perfectly in my office and then apparently close to a year ago it was discovered sirius was illegaly using a transmitter tower in this area to broadcast their signal and it was taken down. So now I cant get reception in my office anymore despite the fact that I sit at a window that points west. So now I have to dl the show and put it on a data traveler and bring it to work. Its a pain but its better than no show at all. I cant imagine how I'm gonna survive the work days in four years from now when I've got no Stern to listen to.

I gotta say, compared to other roasts, it wasnt that great. There were some good zingers but nothing solid the whole way through like past roasts.

My favorite line was Yucko talking about Robin's new race car sponsors.

I've generally disliked all the roasts and I have no reason to believe this one will be any different but I have hopes for Dave Attells segment. And hopefully Colin Quinn will be there again.

Also, Opie and Anthony were fired from XM.

Just listened to the replay of the roast and wow it was one of the worst ones I've heard. Hell even ralph's roast was funnier. The worst part is that I actually thought benjy might come up with some funny jokes instead he bombed big time.

About o & a being fired, they should be used to it by now. Hopefully this time they'll stay off the air permanently.

I'm listening to the roast now through my "improvised means" due to no office signal.. yeah, Benjy really blowed. It isn't as funny as I thought'd it be. At this point, I'm in the middle of Andy's song... and the guy's definitely on something. Really weird.

I read somewhere about the whole terrestrial repeater thing and XM/Sirius being allowed to keep the repeaters until 08 or something. The problem with the terrestrial repeaters is that terrestrial radio sees it as a threat to local advertising revenue since it is basically an FM transmission in a market-by-market scenario. If satellite could begin transmission and offer programming on a regional/local level, they could suck away terrestrial radio advertising revenue on the local level (through buying out local stations to use for terrestrial repeating on a larger scale). Although it's likely that'll never happen, the big companies like Clearchannel are scared shitless of satellite. It's also another reason they're fighting the merger so hard.

So basically.. all of us could get signal, if the terrestrial mega-radio companies wouldn't be so protectionist and getting the FCC to hound them. Sirius gives me entertaining content to listen to, and I think being free of uber-conservative regulation is a large reason for it. I think that maybe the merger will allow them to use the combined satellites to have different orbit paths to further saturate signal.. or better yet, bring them into lower orbit than they are now to allow for greater signal. XM is much more reliant on repeaters than Sirius (and thus has many more), so who knows.. if they can get away with using the repeaters, the combined resources post-merger may end up with everybody being able to finally get some damned signal (especially when you keep in mind that you have to pay more per month to get a higher bitrate through online streaming and more channels).

Benjy wasnt bad for his first at bat. I agree with what most thought that he had some quality lines but his delivery sucked.

I didnt think anyone truly stood out as the best. Lisa was the SOS. Nothing new there. I had high hopes for Attell but he was "aight".

I'm surprised artie was rejecting a chick this time. Usually he starts offering all kinds of money, it was hilarious though.

this crap is getting out of hand...these stupid artie bits are killing the show...not to mention the fat ass can't stay awake... can someone also please tell Howard to stop smacking his lips as he is eating on the air...it's damned annoying..

Right now Robin needs to stfu! She has no clue how artie is feeling and this is an arguement between artie and howard.

that is okay..robin will get hers when they bring the guy in.. I could never date Robin...she always has to be right..

Yeah poor Artie. He's there trying to have a real conversation with Howard and Robin kept cackling and chiming in. I'm glad Artie did the right thing and ignored her.

One day Artie or Howard is going to be so pissed off that they are going go off on robin and just tell her she's full of shit and that she should keep her mouth shut when the conversation doesn't involve her. I'm glad Sal already went off on her once.
