On that note, I have 3 more invites to Bit-HDTV (an all HD private tracker which has naughty movies, as well as normal movies/TV shows), to be given out on a first come, first served basis. There is also a FREE LEECH WEEK next week, after some schedules downtime.

So I checked the BB Front Row thread for the hell of it, and damn, some of those PSP games are cheap! I'm going to hit up BB on Monday or Tuesday (I want to go before I get that lip surgery thing done) to see if I can get Virtua Tennis, Death Jr. and Ratchet and Clank for $9.99 each.

Might as well prepare for my PSP purchase. :lol:

2 questions.
1. Doens't it take up a bunch of space/ take alot of time to download HD content on your PC?
2. How exactly does HD work in referance to computers? I'm guessing if you were to watch an HD movie on a non HD resolution monitor you wouldn't get much out of it.

PS. HD is the same thing as hi res, isn't it ? :p.

  • 720p TV Series (about 24 eps): ~33 gb
  • 720p 1.5 hour movie: ~4.5 gb
  • 1080p Movie: ~25 gb
It doesn't take too long to DL though, provided you have you ports forwarded correctly.

As for your computer, it looks great on WS monitors. Most computer screens are capable of at least 720p HD resolution and above easily: 720p = 1280x720, 1080p = 1920x1080
You need some pretty average/above average hardware for it to play smoothly though.
You can also have the added bonus of playing it on an HDTV if your graphics card has DVI out and your TV has DVI in.
 
speaking of 300 I got an email from buy.com saying my blu ray copy had shipped out today, so hopefully should have it early in the week. It was jsut a regular version though not that fancy set.

I just have a feeling that the 300 edition with the art, and helmet will go for a ton on ebay in the future. Then I'll sell mine, and just get the HD version.

Ahhh you are correct sir. I've seen it a few times already but its such a great documentary that I'll watch it again tonight. *goes to set up the dvr as well*

EDIT: The Walking Dead is a great graphic novel for those of you who are as much of a fan of the zombie genre as I.

Same thing here. I tried logging in the day after you (liquid) sent it to me but it said it was invalid or something.
