I don't think you were around before Shrike was a mod, but let me tell you, he let being a mod change him (and he's the only mod I could say that about). Before, he was a really mellow guy with nothing but positive outlooks on situations. Then, he got mod status, and let his ego get the best of him. Now, he's very sarcastic and just seems to be filled with angst.

He does more for CAG than most others you say, but all he really does is unnecessary things like thumbnail pictures that really don't need to be or edit things that most other moderators would just let slide by because it isn't worth the effort. He just does things the way he wants shit done, and usually Cheapy will go a long with it because Cheapy is lazy and doesn't really care one way or the other and will take Shrike's crap because of the good stuff he does.

I wouldn't doubt it. Cause today was not that big of a deal, and he just off and said "I'll quit as mod." He didn't have to quit modding. He didn't have to listen to what people where saying. So I think Brak might be right.

oh well it was his decision to do so. He's a grown man I'm not going to feel bad for his choice. Earlier wasn't that big of a deal, and got blown out of proportion but "whatever" It was his choice, like I said before. He's the one that came out of left field and said I" won't mod anymore."
 
This far and away the biggest loss to CAG since I've been here. He's gonna be irreplaceable on the mod team.

I too am disappointed with Shrike's stepping down. But I can't blame him considering the reactions he was getting in here.
