If he didn't have the power trips then we wouldn't have been on his ass. Like I said earlier during the meatspin fiasco. He went back through the last 4 OTT's looking for people to ban. OTT he posted in already. OTT's he moderated already. Thats a fucking power trip. He banned people up to two days later from the meat spin deal.

So he went back, looked through evidence to determine what people deserved a temporary ban for posting highly inappropriate material, which could be a permanant ban on many other sites.
If he was on a powertrip he'd IP ban people for doing such.

I spoke with him through PMs about the Meatspin deal. He didn't see them earlier, discovered them, and acted on them. I see nothing wrong with banning people who post links to porn sites- for only one day, no less. He was completely in the right to do that. That's obviously against the rules of the site, and I'm sure anyone who posts a link in a deals thread or something to meatspin gets more than a day off. If he was power tripping he wouldn't hand out useless 1-day bans.

I mean, fuck, I was one of the ones that got banned and I even think it was right.

Looks like Lulu and I are on the same page with this one.

Thats not the whole story. In that same thread before Keen PM'd Shrike tits, Plume posted some porn directly in the forum. All Shrike did was give a warning, and delete his posts. When people posted meatspin. Hardcore porn mind you they were given 24 hours off. Keen asked Shrike if he could PM them to him. He said I don't care. Then banned him for 7 days. A set of tits that could be found in a mild manner google search. However two men fucking in a link only got people 24 hours off.

To clarify to those who were not around, I posted two topless women - softcore, at worst. Nothing as hard as meatspin, so I didn't think I'd get more than a day pass, in light of meatspin. I didn't post thumbs either; I put a spoiler tag around hyperlinks and warned they were NSFW.

That may be the only thing that saved me from a ban - that I didn't directly put the pics in the OTT, only links.

To go OT in the OTT, I was just informed by Pixie that we have a new kitten(for now).

She was at a friends and a couple of kids asked her for some scissors or a knife. She asked why and they told her that they wanted to see if it was true about cutting off half of a cat's whiskers. She asked who the cat belonged to, and they said it was a stray.

So, she called me and said that she is on her way home with said kitten and that she'd find it a home. (I suspect that this is because I told her and Juggerbit the other day that we cannot get a dog.)

She knows I'm a cat person, and is probably hoping this will melt my heart, which kittens tend to do. I just can't handle a fourth cat...

I'm not saying banning people for posting direct links to porn is wrong, its in the TOS. But Wubb another mod told him one got away, Shrike said "Lucky bastard :bomb:" Thats a direct quote with the bomb emoticon. Wubb even said I wouldn't gone that far referring to the one day bans. Wubb said he would have dropped warning. IMO thats a power trip. He always had to take it an extra step. Which some say is good moderation. I say its a power trip. And thats whats divinding us.


We could argue this till were blue in the face. The bottomline is Shrike is a grown ass man. He made a choice. He decided to do what he did. When I'm almost 40 year old man I wouldn't want to babysit a bunch of folks on the net.

A friend of mine wants to sell me an AR-15 w/ the banana clip/magazine whatever... hasn't named a price yet, but I'm sure he'd let it go for cheap. I have a lot of space to shoot cause we've got caliche pits and just a whole bunch of nothing like 5 minutes down the road... just looking for starter reccomendations and what not. :D
