Oh Rocko, thanks for that suggestion of the Bigs 2. Shit is fun as hell and I dont even like baseball.
Yeah, I absolutely hate watching baseball but that game is awesome. I bought the first game since it's only like $15, and it's pretty much the same. Should be here soon. I'm excited to play more than the 3 inning demo.

Mid afternoon naps are nice. I don't know if it's insomnia or an out of whack sleep schedule, but this not being able to sleep till 3 in the morning needs to stop.

Cool, I got accepted into the beta for the new Dungeons and Dragons online. I don't even remember signing up.
You don't even need cable if you have the internet, darthbudge.
I enjoy the comfort of late night random reruns. (Simpsons, King of the Hill, Malcom in The Middle, Scrubs etc.)

I will also miss watching Lost in HD. I hope I have a rich roommate who has big HDTV in the living room and will let me watch Lost on Wednesday nights.
I think so. if not there is always the torrent file option. They usually up those later that night, Dartbudge.
Yeah, that will be a lot more of an option because I will have cable internet.
Hopefully Budge doesn't have a download cap @ college.
Me too. I am gonna have Time Warner Road Runner, so I hope they don't start rolling out that bandwidth cap bullshit again.

Oh you dont have the full game? Man you are in for a treat because the Road to Hall of Fame (think that is whats its called) is really fun. Havent even started an actually season mode yet because the Hall of fame mode is more than 4 season I think.

Only downside is the online is a little bit laggy but should work itself out soon.

That's not what I was referring to.

Aren't you living on campus in a dorm?

Doesn't the college act provide it's own internet service or do they just contract it out to TWC?

No, I just tried the demo of Bigs 2, so then I bought the first Bigs. I figured that was worth a buy but I didn't want to drop like $50 on the newly released second game when I could just get the first.

Yeah, I am living in a dorm, and I could get internet from the college. However, they had bandwidth caps and other restrictions like no XBL, no torrents and so on. For $10 more per month I can have Time Warner, which is a much better deal to me.

EDIT: Wish you would have asked for good deals on The Bigs Rocko, I could have picked you up a $5 copy.

Whoa that's pretty neat that you get a choice there.

Yup.

Stupid Time Warner won't let me make an installation appointment yet because I don't know my Apt #, even though I know the rest of my address. Unfortunately I won't know my Apt # until the day I move in, which means I probably won't get my internet installed until a week after I have moved in.

Go to a TWC retail store, pick up the components, and install the shit yourself.

You can do that? I didn't know that. I would definately be willing to do that, since the install will be really easy.
Whoa. A week with no friends (not right away), no parents, no TV, no Internet...

Goddamn.
I can't tell, are you being sarcastic or not?
Sounds like a spiritual quest to me.
Sounds like torture. For the first weekend anyway, once classes start I will be pretty busy.

Yep, I've done it a few times. Cable box, router, whatever. They let you pick it up and install it yourself. They're usually backed up with installations anyway, so they don't mind.

Cool. Thanks man, that will help out a lot.

If cable is already installed into the apartment then you just need to modem. No need to have them install anything unless they are installing cable wire into the apartment.

Almost time to order some new shoes. I have terrible taste when it comes to this shit, so can someone with an eye for fashion tell me if these look alright?

I know when I checked out the apartments I saw that they already had the cable hookups installed, at least in that building. So I am pretty sure all I need is the modem.

Speaking of which, are they going to bullshit me into a cable modem rental fee every month? Would it be more worth it just to purchase my own cable modem?

You should go into the store and try skanking in those shoes. Make sure the build is quality. And the best part will be everyone looking at you like you're crazy, but hey, it's awesome to be a dumbass teenager!

One, I'm not one of those idiots who dances and looks like a fool in public to get attention. Two, I know you're referencing me rapping to the people at McDonald's, but that was all in good fun and they got a kick out of it. Three, you look like a woman.
The attitude of "it's sick to be a dumbass teenager" kind of guarantees you're an attention whore.
Thanks for taking my words out of context. I said sometimes it's fun to be a dumbass teenager, which implies that yeah, every once in a while I'll do something dumb, but I generally act responsibly.

But hey, glad you think that you have my whole personality figured out through some posts on an internet forum. ;)
Hey CrystalClear64, would recommend me a good 1TB HDD that could be used as a main boot drive?
one that you get cheap

just stick with a well known brand with a warranty, i dunno what you'd want me to suggest

wd and seagate are popular

i personally use 7200 seagates but not for any particular reason. they used to suck but had a firmware update so you might not want to go with them in case you get sent an older version of the drive

Just if you had a brand that you preferred, or that had better performance.

I was mostly trying to decide between a WD Black or a Seagate Barracuda.
