New to the 360 revision of TBfM-eII are the following five online modes of play. Versus pits you against up to three other opponents, where the objective is to totally wipe them out. King of the Hill sees opposing teams try to hold a specific regional area on the map for a set number of minutes, whereas Capture and Hold is about finding and owning various objects on a map. Points are awarded based on how many you hold down, and when a certain number is reached, a winner is crowned.
Resource Race sees a specific amount of resources needing to be gathered, and finally Hero vs. Hero grants each player four heroes -- the aim here is to nuke the other player's fortresses into the ground, while leveling your own heroes as fast as possible. Each mode has its own charm and even irritations, but on the whole, TBfM-eII's online game is a rock solid attempt and is enjoyable from start to finish.
