The louder the 360 the closer to death?

I was playing some spiderman friend or foe last night (I got your back wombat! Its pretty fun, though simplistic and easy) and my xbox was louder than ever. Does this increase in volume mean that its getting closer to dying, again?
 
Not really. You're just hearing your DVD drive spin rapidly. The fans could also be causing a lot of the noise. Kind of wish mine was quieter though.
 
I am having the Disk Read Error with mine, and right before it does that, the drive will wind up and sound like a moped at full rpm. If its that kinda of sound, then yes. Goodbye 360 number 4, your coffin is on the way. maybe I will have better luck with number 5. I will call it Johnny 5.
 
On some games the disc drive is louder then with others, especially if it has to contently stream/load content. Try some of your other games and see if it sounds the same, if so then I wouldn't worry about it.
 
I'm honestly thinking of calling in and reporting my 360 as RRoD'd just so I can have the coffin on hand when it does die lol. In Canada the boxes are good for a few months. It could save me a week of waiting when it finally dies :)

Mine does the same thing. It sounds like it revs up to its max speed and then it just slows down a lot.

Just picture it as a car going from 5th to 1st gear. It sounds like it's about to explode.

DRE are really annoying though. Always happens to me in Vegas 2 multi.

Now that's an idea. MS should bundle a coffin with every new 360.
