So, the GM position can be given to guest hosts now. Not only that, but the anonymous GM can still make decisions. Not only can he still make decisions, but he has authority over people from Smackdown.

Huh.

Look! WWE is making a big deal out of divas on price is right, and TNA didnt even know Bryan Kendrick was on the show.

WWE is numero uno.

That makes Impact's "Bischoff is gone. Psych! No, he isn't." seem Lost-worthy in it's nuance.

You know, the thing with Ryder is that he isn't just getting more popular with the crowds, but the other entertainers are pushing for him as well. Apparently the only people who aren't pushing for him are Vince and HHH, hence no TV for him then. I'd imagine though the wrestlers are starting to get concerned because the more popular he gets without them doing anything with him it shows those wrestlers that your popularity with the fans doesn't mean shit when it comes to whether you'll get pushed.

One of my favorite things from Z! True Long Island Stories was the episode where Scott Stanford (I think) was interviewing wrestlers at some WWE event and asking them about Zack Ryder. Cena was all excited and complimentary, and HHH looked the most uncomfortable I've ever seen him look. fucking awkward. It was great.

After this long, and especially after last night, I'd say we're looking at one of the first possiblities that was brought up... Vince is keeping a lid on it to make an example out of him. No one goes into business for themselves in the manufactured WWE Universe, let alone a guy who is curtain-jerking Superstars. Gotta keep the herd in line and all that.

That's the most reasonable explanation at this point, since surely *someone* in a position of power has to see that Ryder has made a big impact online. Add to that the fact that Cena is a big supporter, and you're sort of left with it being intentional.

I imagine Ziggler spoke out for the same reasons Ryder did... Ziggler is going nowhere. I don't care if he has US title matches in his future, he's literally been buried and mis-used since coming to Raw. This guy, like Del Rio, was on a rocket to the moon, but Raw has completely decimated him. After the 'makeover', I get the distinct sense that Ziggler just doesn't give a shit anymore.

Anyway, here's a horrible admission for you... I'm absolutely a huge fan of Ryder's videos, but I'm pretty sure I've never even seen him wrestle. I'd imagine that doesn't put me in the minority of his current crop of 'fans', sadly.
What did Cena say on his way out to the ring?
Something about Uncle Jack - love and respect, save a cold one for me upstairs.

I'm guessing Uncle Jack died.
What is Ziggler's tweet on about?
I'm guessing they told Ryder that he'd be used on Raw, hence the tweets by Ryder leading up to Raw (Driving Home/Will all my hard work pay off/Ryder or Riot) then didn't at all, leading to what Ziggler posted.
AAA's Triplemania is this weekend.... why can't I buy that on PPV?
Ditto. It's being offered in Japan again this year despite no NOAH talent on the card. I was really hoping TNA would offer it in the us like when WCW made AAA's When Worlds Collide available in the US. Supposedly Bischoff was the guy that helped AAA get WCW to handle the PPV here which gave me hope TNA would do the same.

Edit: WTF, according to luchablog's translation of an article run on Superluchas El Mesías no-showed a main event match against LA Park over the weekend because he was kidnapped and beaten while going for a smoke between flights. Superluchas says they're quoting a AAA press release but AAA says it doesn't exist. Weird stuff. Could just be a work for Triplemania promotion; LA Park has been making a big deal about El Mesías not being Mexican and saying fans should be behind him for the Triplemania main event.

To quote Zack Ryder, "Are you serious, bro???"

From wrestling observer:

Meltzer was texted during the show by a WWE employee stating that the reason Zack was not on the show is because "Vince hates the internet". Backstage, many, many people were upset that the person getting the most chants throughout the night was not brought out for a promo or even a quick appearance in his hometown who clearly wanted him there. Meltzer got some more information today on the thought process.

Evidently, it was indeed a rib/joke being played on Zack. Zack had spent his prior show talking up how he was in his hometown, how excited he was, how this could be his chance to finally shine and move up on the card. Zack was told a few days ago he would have a promo and a match on RAW and would turn face on RAW, even being able to acknowledge his youtube show and Internet Champion gimmick. This is why Zack was so excited the past few days.

The rib went so far as there was even a fake script and timeline alloted for Zack to come out and wrestle, besides Superstars, with his RAW promo and on air face turn. When the time came close for this to happen, Zack was informed plans changed and he would not be on air. This was literally during the broadcast. The entire rib was Vince's idea and was because Vince is not a fan of the "bashing" Zack does about WWE and sees it as "giving in" to someone who is visibly bashing the company with "dropping ball" clips, etc.

Meltzer comments that the real joke is on the fans, as the reaction to him not being on air is not pretty and as the rib is being revealed, even less people are happy. Multiple wrestlers have stated their public displeasure with the rib and John Cena was said to directly confront Vince over the situation and what he felt was a poor joke.

If this is true, and it sounds to me like it is, then fuck you Vince!

Poor Zack. Doubly poor because he can't really do anything about it.

Someone on here mentioned the way things used to be with talent appearing on WCW out of the blue and while it is harder to pull that sort of thing off now, the bigger issue is that showing up in WCW in the late 90s wasn't necessarily a step down, it was a parallel move. Showing up in TNA just shows that you're a junkie, you need money, or you got fired. There are exceptions but pretty much no one has been impressed when Hardy, Ken Anderson, and Lashley rolled into TNA.

It seemed like he was pretty sure he'd be on Raw on last week's Z True Long Island Story so obviously this rib by Vince was planned well in advance. I gotta give props to Cena to standing up to Vince if that really happened though. I wonder what would have happened if 'Taker had been there? Would Vince have been forced to go to Ryder's locker room to apologize?

At any rate, like the article seems to indicate Ryder seems to not only won the hearts of the internet fans but also his fellow wrestlers. Look at how many top carders have appeared on his videos now? With the exception of HHH's douchebag answer "who?" when asked why he wasn't on TV, it appears as if when most of the major guys appear on his show they're in on his jokes.

Just got an email from the arena Raw will be in at Baltimore next week stating this:

THREE HOUR SPECIAL FEATURING ALL OF THE WWE SUPERSTARS FROM RAW AND SMACKDOWN!

It's Raw "Power to the People" where you control the matches, you make the stipulations, YOU CONTROL EVERYTHING!!

"RAW IS YOURS!"

Also listing one match (using spoiler tags just in case, but I'm not too sure if it needs one):

JOHN CENA, REY MYSTERIO & THE BIG SHOW

VS.

R-TRUTH, CM PUNK & ALBERTO DEL RIO

- SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH -

Vince did a cruel joke on Henry a few weeks ago, too. I had a feeling that there was a rib being played on Ryder judging from Ziggler's tweet, but not to that extend. I respect Cena for standing up for Ryder because Vince will definitely listen to Cena, but I don't think it'll make a difference.

Ryder doing what he did is commendable. He made a name for himself when no one else would. That's a terrible joke to play on someone. As much as I would hate for him to quit, I think TNA would use him better (or just use him in general).

If Raw truly is "our choice" next week, Ryder will definitely have a match. I can't wait to see what he says on his show this week, if he mentions it at all (he may not if Vince said he hated how he buried WWE creative on his show).

Doesn't Triplemania come on free on galavision a few weeks after the actual live ppv? Could just wait till then if your willing to wait(I can).

As for that Mesias rumor, I don't know weather to believe that or not. Luchablog has run a lot of bull shit article and rumors in the past. Like you said, could be a work,

Yeah I think it does, but I don't get galavision any more since I have switched from satellite to cable. I've really been trying to "put my money where my mouth is" in regards to wrestling lately as far as buying what I truly enjoy and want to see continue, rather than picking up WWE releases. (I will get the Nitro set, but later). Since I can't buy it, I will download it, but I'd like to have the option.

Oh, thats to bad on not having galavision anymore since they now show CMLL on sunday as well. Gala is definitely the place to check out lucha libre if any one wants an alternative to WWE/TNA.

I think they used to wait and show it at the end of the year but last year they edited it a bit and aired it like a normal TV taping shortly after it was live on PPV. I'm in the same boat as OnyxPrimal; don't have Galavision due to the cable where I'm at and I'd rather pay for it if I could.

I don't know who Christina Von Eerie is, but she's the crazy hottest paint-by-numbers poseur I think I've ever seen.

That's a compliment, by the by.

Absolutely no surprise that a self-centered, narcissistic control freak like Vince would respond like that to Ryder. He didn't "make" him so it can't possibly work. Vince needs to be put on the "Sexy Bitch" and sent out to sea.

For those who think it will get better when/if HHH has more control, you're fooling yourselves. From his response about Ryder going back to the ultra-burying of the Spirit Squad, this clown is also a raging egomaniac. Any turnaround that might eventually happen in WWE will almost purely be stumbled into by accident.

Since Christina Von Eerie was brought up..

TNA Superstar Jesse Neal posted a message on his Twitter account yesterday stating how glad he is that he and his girlfriend now qualify for food stamps.

"Yayyyy we qualified for food stamps!!! I can eat now! RT @CVEvil_138: Things are looking up! Just recieved some good news!!! :)"

A follower then wrote the following to Neal: "It's a sad state of the business that you can make a joke about Food Stamps and people wonder if you are serious." Neal replied, It's not a joke."

Neal also debunked rumors that he plans on leaving TNA.
"Plz guys don't feed into the rumors, I have no plan to leave Ink Inc. I have just started my career and very grateful for what I have." He continued, "Rumors r nothing but made up stories and lies from idiots!! Don't believe them."
The crowd heat at RAW was at Attitude Era levels.
Wait, you're still here?

And no, no it wasn't. Not by a longshot.

Not sure how having CM Punk put one over on Cena makes sense if he's still leaving...
On the other hand that match really showed how much a person with a lot of in ring talent can make Cena look like he almost knows what he's doing. It wasn't very hard to see Punk calling the whole match.
