What are your most over-rated game, movie, and band of the last 10 years?
Here are mine:
Game: Halo/Halo 2
Movie: Napolean Dynamite
Band: Linkin Park

Final Fantasy 7 and beyond
The Matrix
Death Cab For Cutie / Radiohead
Game: Halo/Halo 2
Movie: The Matrix
Band: Everything, pretty much. Modern music is bad, bad, bad, by and large.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Agreed. Even those have been covered too many times to count.

Game:
Hype...oops, Half-Life.
Yes, it was a good game for the time. However, I'd played SiN before playing HL (thou few did) and the number of innovative gameplay elements in SiN went a lot further for me. Location based damage for one (vs typical FPS splash damage as in HL and most other FPS til Unreal Tournament made it "popular").

Movie:
Speed.
Okay, it was made in 94 so it' doesn't "technically" qualify for within the last 10 years, but so many people liked this film and I just can't stand it. Some of the scenes in that film are so bad it make my skin literally crawl...(shudder).

Band:
Pretty much any manufactured boy or girl bands, so "fill in the blank".
I don't mind talent and decent songs. But these things are often SO forced down our throats that it's just sad. Actually, what's really sad is the amount of "sheepness" people display in getting "into" these bands just because they are on TV/Radio 24/7.

Game: Nintendogs

Movie: Batman Begins

Music: At the moment, Kanye West

None of them are nearly as brilliant as reviewers and/or fans would lead you to believe.
Game: GTA3 series Edit: I guess FF7 isn't >10 yrs old yet....
Movie: Matrix
Band: Pretty much everything
That GTA3 series is pretty good. I like the third one in the GTA3 series. ;-)

As for games, I'd have to say Soul Calibur II. Dont get me wrong, it wasent a bad game by any means, it was just annoying how everyone acted like it was the best fighting game of all time. For movies, I would have to say Nopeleon Dynamite or Austin Powers in Goldmember. They both pretty much sucked, Austin Powers more than ND, but ND seemed to get more attention, so I'll have to rank them equally. And bands? Pretty much any of the crap on the radio today.

Game: Splinter Cell Series
Movie: Moulin Rouge. it sucked.
Bands: Death Cab (even though Postal Service is awesome), Something Corporate (suck.), Dashboard (suck.), Maroon 5 (suck.), Modern Rap/Hip-Hop...only good Rap/Hip-hop is either not popular or from the 80s/early 90s.

this just combines them plus music. Also, this is from the past 10 years, not of all time.

Overrated:
GTA 3 and beyond
Napolean Dynamite
Eminem

Underrated:
FAR CRY, Splinter cell
Batman begins
Kanye West

QFT
Movie: Star Wars prequels
Are these really overrated? Only the most recent one got good reviews across the board. The other two were largely thought of as crap weren't they?

My picks:
drawing a blank on the games...maybe Splinter Cell (still good, just not THAT good)
Office Space and Garden State (flame suit on)
More recent Radiohead albums (the first 2 or 3 were amazing)
