What are you whores asking for for christmas, I'm having a hell of a time figuring out anything I want/need. The past year I've just gone out and bought whatever I wanted when I wanted it...
Considering 13 isn't out, III.

Considering it's a typo, probably XII, though it really depends on if you want the mobility.
You know what's sad? I haven't played FFXII since the day I bought it. I really should play that before I start Zelda.

What a dilemma... right now, I have two options. There are two Astronomy finals, one is on current stuff, the second is cumulative. He drops our lowest test score.

Right now, already dropping the lowest test score, my average is an 80. I take both tests.

If I don't drop the lowest test score, I go into the final with a 75, HOWEVER, I don't have to take the cumulative since I'll be dropping that one. I'd only need a 50% on the current chapter final to pass the class with a 70.

What to do? I might just study both, this way if I think I did shitty on the current chapter final I can still do the cumulative, but right now I'm leaning towards saying fuck the cumulative test.

I need your assistance OTT. What game should I get for the DS? I have barely played it and I need to clear the dust off the thing. I loved Zelda: Minnish Cap and Mario 64. Basically I'm down with any good adventure/platform or non turn based RPGs. Any suggestions?

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

There is no other answers.

NSMB and castlevanis dawn of sorrow sure are great *cough* cml *cough*
Well, it shows that I haven't followed Final Fantasy, as I legitimately thought the current title was the thirteenth in the series. ;o
It would be the 13th in the series actually since X had a sequel (X-2)

New Super Mario Bros would be perfect IMO.

Phoenix Wright. Get that. Other suggestions, Sonic Rush and Princess Peach are both very good platformers. Club House Games and Cooking Mama are great time killers. Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Brain Age, and Elite Beat Agents are also very solid choices.

Okay quick question for the mods: Report button good for threads needing locked (repost or whatever) or is PM still the best solution? I'm not particularly sure about the report buttons necessary functions in getting things done quickly.

Suck it up and study for both. What else do you have to do besides dick around?
There's other sequels, too, so it wouldn't be the 13th.
Figured I'd probably be missing something. What is there besides X-2 in the main gameline though? I thought there were big stirrings among the fanboys when it came out that it was the first time a mainline FF game got a true sequel.

But that would be like counting all of XI's expansion packs and the VII spin-offs.

Yep.. he says since we have two hours for the final, we're getting two tests.

Test 1 is the new stuff

Test 1 is the cumulative stuff

I might study for both, but honestly, to get that B, I'd need to get an 80 or higher on BOTH tests, and I didn't really do so hot on half the tests to begin with because my teacher is insane. So I think a totally cumulative test I'll be lucky to even pass.

I think if I feel really confident about Test 1, I'm just going to skip Test 2 completely.

I'd only need a 47% on Test 1 to get a 70 average to pass the class, and in my college a C is a C is a C. Meaning that if I take both tests and have a 79 average, it means the same as a 70.

I find academia extremely interesting. I'm considering becoming a guidance counselor/college advisor on the side. Pretty damn good money too.

Just for what's come out before FFXII, there was the Vincent sequel to FFVII. After that, there's the PSP FFVII spinoff and FFXII has a DS spinoff in the works, as well.

Yea, this guy is an Astronazi.

Holy Smokes. I got nearly 60 bucks for my Zelda Colectors disk. That's about ten more than I expected.

But unofrtunately my Time Crisis 3 auction is looking int rouble. Tomorrow is day ten and I haven't heard from the winner who has 0 feedback. I'm going to send him one last message saying that if I don't hear from him, get a check in the mail, or get paid by paypal, I'll have to second chance it to another member.

Y'all could probably add in Mystic Quest for the SNES and the Game Boy games, the Legends Games (I have FF Legend III) and maybe even the FF Adventure games as well. There's been a lot done with games using the franchise name.

The FF Legend games aren't FF games.

They are SaGa games renamed to FF due to the popularity of FF at the time.

Same with FF Adventure, which is actually the first Mana game.

I noticed that, good job!

fuck...I have finals next week, so it should be dead week right now.
However, all my teachers feel the need to throw in extra tests this week that they didn't give earlier.
Today - Pre-cal
Tomorrow - AP Physics B and US History
Thursday - Japanese III

*goes to study for the rest of the night*

Yeah, I knew the Adventure was a Mana game... I figured the Legend games weren't really straight up FF games.

It's all subjective though. FF:Tactics, FF:Tactics Advance... but they're more SRPGs than RPGs. FFXI was MMORPG... so I don't know that it comprises of the standard gameplay expected in a FF title. Same consideration with XII (which I'm going to give a chance, thanks to TRU and some help from CAGs) because they've got this new-fangled combat system which is supposed to mimic MMORPG more than the standard FF menu based system.

Don't mind me, just babbling.

Well, it's not subjective when the name is changed and the game is really something else in disguise ;)

FFXII doesn't just go for the MMO-style gameplay to shirk the standard FF fare, it's streamlining the process. Instead of being interrupted every 30 seconds by a random battle, all of the enemies are there to fight at your pace. With that, the Gambits allows you to be able to fine tune the characters to act as you wish so you can focus on more important things.

Who the hell is this guy and his strange (annoying?) sig? vvvv

Call me crazy, but I like the two test thing. it worked in my favor most of the time. if you take both tests, and one of them ends up being your lowest grade, then you drop it, no sweat. If you end up cleaning house, then your grade goes up. I highly advise taking both tests but studying more for one versus the other.
So...the next Dragon Quest is comin out 'exclusively' for the DS pretty soon. How bout them apples!
I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure.

because it sucks. I hate pretty much everything about Christmas, but nothing grinds my gears more than Christmas music. Christmas music makes me want to kill myself.

Got me 2 copies of Zelda! Hooray for me!

Goddamn California 5 o' clock traffic took an hour and a half for a 8 mile drive.

Oh yeah, also my Fatal1ty mouse was waiting for me when I got home. Plus, I bought 2 more copies of DDR Mario Mix this morning. And my NGE Platinum Collection came this afternoon.

Goddamn, it was a good day.

Oh what a sad little man you are to hate A Christmas Story.
How can you not love A Christmas Story, you heathen?
It's popular enough to warrant parodies in cell phone commercials. It's good, but not beloved to me. My family loves it though, as it's always on during the 24 hour marathon when I head to my grandpartents' houses for Christmas.

I just bought a bunch of point cards from buy.com so I should be set for the year. 46 bucks for 3 cards isn't too bad. Not the best deal around, but still pretty good. Now I just got to wait for some good games to come out.

You're going insane on those. I have something better (in a sense) for you, I told you all I would share later.

Fatal Frame 3 is now $9.98 at TRU. It sells for around $50 on Ebay for a brand new copy.

Easy $40 profit and very easy to ship the game. Since the sale just kinda leaked today most TRU's should be untouched.

I'd sell more Mario DDR's but I hate shipping them. It's a huge hassle to me... now that finals are over I think I might go look for a few more.

How long ago did Fatal Frame 3 get released? My TRU sucks and really doesn't have much to offer. If it's fairly new, they may have some copies.

Finally finished Order of the Phoenix. Probably the weakest in the series so far. At least there's plenty for them to cut out of the movie, I was afraid it would end up being 6 hours long.

I'll start on Half-Blood Prince after I finish watching the rest of Scrubs season 4.

FF 3 got released a year ago but nobody bought it.

When a TRU here was closing, they had like 6 copies left and even at like 40% off nobody cared about it.

It's still worth popping into a TRU for $40 profit per copy.

Been waiting for this to drop. Thanks for the tip! Hopefully they'll have at least 1 so I can play it. but if they have more, well, yeah :)

No problem, I don't know why more people aren't talking about it, but whatever, everyone is so into the FF deal and shit right now anyways.

I always got to hook my fellow OTT's up with the hot deals.

I may be the only person posting on CAG who admits to reselling and can get away with it ;)

But I'm not near as bad as the people on FW, at least I leave one or two copies for others.

I enjoy a christmas story. I've been waiting to catch it on TV but maybe its just too early for them to start airing it.

I just got this email from my teacher who said he wasn't going to give a final and I'm very confused:

Hello all,

I know you will not be thrilled to hear this, however, I have to final paper/test for the class.

I attached an assignment, it is a .doc file. It is due by Sept 20, Weds. It is only 750 words so you shouldnt have to kill your self. If you have done your assignments and paid attention, it should be fairly straight forward.

Take care
:whistle2:s I'm guessing he means next Wednesday, so it shouldn't be too hard since I've got very little left to do for my classes.
