The MP3 Player/Headphone appreciation thread!

I searched the forum and didn't see anything about a thread like this and I figured I would start one since I recently got a new pair of headphones. My current Mp3 player is the Archos 5 (non android) and Beats Studio headphones. I've owned tons of mp3 players over the years, including an Iriver, an Ipod touch, a Zune, an RCA Lyra, and a Dell DJ. I also owned one of those little mobiblu cubes, do they even still make those? I actually still have the DJ too, and while it's ugly as hell, it's built like a tank. As far as headphones go, I have a pair of skullcandy inked earbuds which I buy because they're fairly cheap and sound okay for the price when I'm out running around. So what does everyone else own?

A Cowon A3 media player, and some cheapy Sony ear canal buds. The ear buds get the job done, and I'm no audiophile. But then again, I only rip my CDs as FLAC files, so I'm a bit inconsistent.

Well, if it sounds good to you, it doesn't really matter. That's one thing I don't know a whole lot about, what the difference is between the different files, if someone feels like coming in and explaining all the pros and cons of different types of files, I would appreciate it.
