I lucked out at TRU and had no trouble. I didn't get what I wanted but I picked up some presents: RE4, DDS1, Alien Hominid, DBZ Sagas (rang up for 5), Mr. Driller, Warioware GBA.

I only found a few games I wanted at Toys B' Sux:

- Area-51 (Xbox)
- Dead or Alive Ultimate (Xbox)
- Metal Slug Advance (GBA)

1) They didn't get enough love from mommy when they were 3

2) They got too much love from daddy when they were 10

He gave me one just for coughing and congestion that I didn't even need- the Robitussen was doing just fine. But whatever.

Tomorrow I should wrap up the gifts I got while my parents are at a company gathering. Sounds good.

I suppose some people feel the need to have one of the first however-many copies before it went GH or whatever.

I really don't care... if it's a game, it's a game.
 
Well I survived. No big hord of hot soccer moms at TRU just a few but unusually a mob of shady older guys. It took a half an hour to turn into the shopping center and it sucked because I was staring at the store the whole time I was sitting in the turning lane. I was in and out of the store in 5-10 minutes. I ended up getting Cold Fear for my sister. It might not be a great game or the greatest deal but it was one of about 8 games I was looking for.
 
I like the same look with all my games on thier side...but i wont pass up a deal if its PC/GH (sonic adventure 1&2 today for $10).

I kinda got over that whole "it HAS to look the same!" thing when Sega switched to cardboard boxes instead of clam shells

True . . . but I don't see why we can't expect a similar level of aesthetics from our games as we do from every other product we buy. Ever buy clothing based on style or color? Furniture, personal electronics, cars?

Yeah, I don't even mind disc-only (if it's a great deal). I'm just happy to have the game. I pay to play the game, not look at the box.
 
I hope the guy I am talking to about a monitor can meet me tomorrow so I can get it. Its a 21 inch Dell and will barely fit in my desk (should only fit by 2ths on an inch), but playing the games I am getting for Chrsitmas on it is going to be awesome

Amazing game. Lots of style and ambience. But my opinion is a bit biased since I have a soft spot for adventure games.
 
I started playing RE4 (ps2 version) but the movement sucks. I know thats the way its supposed to be but I don't know if I can get into it.

This is primarily why I decided the GC version was for me. The graphics also weighed in... I didn't feel that the extra gun/costumes/sidequest was worth the performance downgrades. Also the $10 price at TRU today totally sealed the deal.

I was tempted to at the least rent the PS2 version of RE4 if only cause I wanna play the Ada mission. She was always one of my favorite characters, so more of her is always good. But I just can't bring myself to spend money on a game I've already beaten multiple times.

I decided the GC version was for me because I didn't feel like waiting 10 months to play a weaker version. But like Karsh, I might consider renting it to play the Ada missions.

Also, no need to thank me. I'm sure someone else can give a better review of the game. :oops:

Well, the reviews seem that most people love it or hate it, with the majority being on the love side. Girlfriend apparently ordered it for me for the holiday, so I was trying to get some feedback to let her know whether it was a good choice. :)
 
Damnit I can't find my Jerky Boy's tapes. But I did find my Mitch Hedberg cds that I forgot to rip to my comp. That man was gone to soon.
 
I started Killer 7 but the tutorial by the Gimp was putting me to sleep. I have nothing to do now. I think Im just going to go get a forty and make myself a sandwich in time to watch the simpsons.
