Sonic Heroes sucked. Like whoa, I hate that game. And I;ve heard Shadow sucks as well. What's up with this? I mean, I really liked Adventure 2, and I love the mega collection, but why these new games so bad?

I never liked 3D sonic games. And I saw mega collection for $20 at one point and snapped it up... and then... they release the gem collection with Sonic CD... I'm still fucking pissed off about that. :bomb:
 
Oh yeah, random side note:

Not that sub is here to care, but what the eff was up with the way Scarlett was looking on the cover of Elle. I mean, she's normally a bombshell... but choosing to look like Michelle Trachtenberg (or something like that ;) ), wtf? :puke:

Same here, found it for 20 and then they released the new one. I still totally got my twenty dollars worth, though.

I want the Megaman X collection. Is it even out yet? I remember hearing about it a while ago but never heard anything more.

I have not seen a release date, but CAPCOM had an advertisment for it on the back of Game Informer this month
 
Cancelled my Xbox Live account today, and boy do I feel better....haven't touched the Dust Box in ages. The only game I'm proud to own is Phantom Dust.
 
Im gonna go get some Sunkist orange drink and a big bag of Funyuns. Im then going to come back home and play some more FF4 and Animal Crossing. Then im going to sleep until around 12, go out with my gf for some last minutes shopping till around 2, lastly ill go to work at 3 and see if i can get all of the Walking Dead trades sold.
 
I'm definitely bringing GBA games to college...but I don't know what I'll be playing them on.

Even though I love my Glacier GBA, the lack of light is a big issue in my dorm room, and the clip-on lights just wouldn't cut it for long periods of time. I could go cheap and pick up a used SP...or I could splurge and get a DS and Mario Kart to go with it.

I guess it all depends on how much money I've got left. It's nice to see that the DS is worthwhile, though. :)

My TRU was packed last night, this morning on the way to work there were tons of people on the road and it was slick as hell with black ice. The sooner I get home the better.
 
For my money, I think "The Fog" has my favorite John Carpenter music. It's hell of spooky. "Prince of Darkness" comes close, but it's just not as simply eerie.

edit: and it comes up because it's on now, as part of SciFi's Christmas marathon.

I need to fuck with it a little because the screen is still kind of bring even after turning down the brightness.

I made a reservation with SuperShuttle for a ride to the airport yesterday, and I made that reservation about a month and a half ago, and they never showed up. The bad thing is that they apparently don't refund when they don't show up, which is just a fucked up policy. Luckily my roommate was still around, so he gave me a ride to the airport.

fuck naw, I am a cheap bastard. LCD is still way to expensive and not as good for gaming from what I have heard. The monitor I got only cost me 45 bucks
 
Ya know, I gotta refute that whole "LCD sucks for gaming" idea. I've been playing games on my 21" LCD from Dell and I can barely tell a difference besides the awesomeness of 1680 x 1050 resolution.

See, LCDs aren't unsuitable for gaming as long as they have a low enough response time. I think 12ms is about the cutoff before ghosting becomes noticeable. At or lower, they're fine. But it's only been in the last year or so that they've gotten down that low, so it's understandable that they still have a reputation for crappy performance in gaming.
 
anyone know any stores that still carry the vivendi half life 2 ? I wanted to get a copy of it for my friend and ordered it through amazon, but 2 and a half weeks after telling me it would be here on the 23rd they have not even shipped it out leaving me with no christmas present for him.

I may get him Quake 4 if I cannot find one.
