I was reading one of the recent Star Wars books (Legacy of the Force series) and a jedi used the force to smooth the puffiness under her eyes after crying.

It was Mace Windu who did it to calm his bitch down. He then used to his "light saber" to make her feel all better.

And why the hell are you reading Star Wars books. Don't make me post a picture of Ogre.

It's why George Lucas doesn't recognize the books as cannon...meaning it didn't happen! :nottalking:
juicy indeed.

Ona separate note... fuck 4/1. Boss changed the locks on the office door. My key wouldn't work, then he came out of his office, saw I was having trouble and said, "Oh yeah, I changed the locks cause I didn't want there to be any confusion that you still worked here." After I collected my jaw off the ground and tried to keep myself from balling like a little girl, I headed for the exit. Right before I walked out the door he called out to me, "April Fool's." I hate today.
That's great. Can't believe he actually paid to change the locks.

I thought he accepted them since they are after the movies? I swore he said that years ago.
dallow, do you want the DS or not?

some other kid from dallas just PMed me asking if it was available.
Yes, PM me a price.

Well you obviously read them too since you know exactly how it went down.

(Also Mace Windu talks constantly about how he hits them with the force so he doesn't bruise his hand.)

As far as if the books are canon or not, I don't really care. Epis 1, 2 and 3 were decent movies but nothing so epic that all of the Star Wars novels pale in comparison. And honestly I'd like to just forget about Epi 1.

Only certain ones...Like the Knights of the Old Republic for example. i.e the good ones.

A lot of the expanded universe is excluded -
Including Chewbacca's death.
I rearry riked that video, d-bag. Neat gag.

Now you're gonna stereotype Asians?

just kidding, and you're right, she's rearry good looking, gets better and better every time i see her

Forget about Ep1 or just Jar Jar Binks?
Forget about Ep1 or just Jar Jar Binks?
Yeah probably mainly Jar Jar. I thought Epi 1 was enjoyable but not nearly what I had hoped. This probably set my expectations low enough that I really liked Epi 2 and 3.

His final word was

Movies>deleted scenes>books

Provided it doesn't conflict with the movies or deleted scenes (or he specifically says it didn't happen as in the case of Boba Fett still being alive), it'll be considered part of the universe.
Irish cream flavored Java Monster is win.
I've always wanted to try one of those Java monsters, but i'm too chicken to buy one cuz I'm afraid I might not like them, and they're expensive as hell.

In case you all missed it, feel free to use them at your discretion:

The girl that sits next to me at work always brings in Monster drinks for our department, we were one of the first to try out their new Java line, her husband is the head sales guy of Monster so she hooks it up! I like the Mocha but I prefer to stick with the regular Monster.

The Irish Creme one tastes almost exactly like real coffee spiked with Baileys, and a little mint. I was quite surprised it so closely matched one of my favorite drinks. They actually do a good job of matching coffee, and I despise normal Monster.
okay, maybe i did get out of control in the wii forum, but i'm just really satisfied with my new system. : )

Cut the shit. I don't care how legit your posts look.

Uh oh, TFN's gonna get steamrolled by the Pain Train!

dullow, that AFI event going on up there sounds really fucking cool.

It looked like they were screening the other Joy Division movie this past weekend too. That one's a straight up documentary, but the guy that directed it documented Radiohead's OK Computer tour around 10 years ago and made that into a feature length documentary too. That one, even though it was very much "for the fans" was quite candid at points so I'd be interested to check this one out too.

Aside from that the Sonic Youth and maybe Lou Reed features sound interesting. The Searchers might be good too if they did the presentation right like they do at the AFI theaters in California and Washington D.C.

I really want to see that Joy Division documentary. The author of it, Jon Savage, also wrote what might be the best book on the 70's U.K. punk scene, England's Dreaming. That and Greil Marcus' Lipstick Traces are probably my two favorite books about music.

Has interviews with all the big people, including Tony Wilson.

I passed on it however, as the DVD comes out next month for that.
I'll save the amount I was going to spend on two tickets for that instead.

I will watch the Sonic Youth one though. I'm gonna take that girl who wrapped that infamous scarf around my neck as she's a SYouth freak.
I've got the MGS4 LE sitting in my cart, just need to pull the trigger.
I'm debating if I want that LE from Gamestop or if I want the regular version from Amazon and get it quicker / tax free.

That's what I'm debating too. On one hand, the beta would be cool and the extras sound spiffy. But I only really dug MGS3, so I'd hate to think I'm denying a true fan the extras.

That zit video was fucked up.

I had an ingrown hair / boil on my chest, once. I popped it at work, forcefully, with a thumb tack, in the restroom... and the thickest stream of puss I had ever seen hit the mirror -- sounded like a Super Soaker spraying glass.
