The OFFICIAL Batman Begins topic!

The way they've spoken, it's on purpose. With enough commentary they'll probably fix that, or at least throw in some more normal fight scenes in the next movie. How about the fight in the very begining. Short but I thought it was good. In the prison.
Anyone who likes him as Batman as I do must see American Psycho and The Machinist.
I'm going to see Batman again tonight after I watch American Psycho again.
I'm not sure I would recommend American Psycho to everyone. Some people insisted to me it was one of the worst movies ever made, which really bugs me since it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I think people don't get it's supposed to be a satire/black comedy and not a random slasher flick. I still have to see the Machinist/Equilibrum... everyone recommends those two to me whenever I mention Christian Bale.

Anyways, back on topic... I wasn't sure if this had been posted yet, so I didn't want to make a new thread:

Holmes Dropped from 'Batman' Sequel

Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have signed to star in a second Batman movie, but love interest Katie Holmes has been dropped. Movie bosses are thrilled with the response to Batman Begins - it took $46.9 million in its first weekend at the US box office - and have snapped up the film's stars for a sequel. Bale as Batman was the first to put pen to paper, followed by Caine as butler Alfred and Freeman as Bruce Wayne's business associate Lucius Fox. But Holmes won't reprise her role as district attorney Rachel Dawes - reportedly because Warner Bros is angry her engagement to Tom Cruise has stolen media attention away from the movie. A source tells Pagesix.Com, "Everyone is in agreement that the movie's strength is with Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman." Adding of Holmes, "She won't be in the sequel... the next romantic interest will be a much stronger actress. Warner is happy that people are now focusing on who'll be playing the Joker rather than Katie and Tom."

If that isn't a bitchslap to the face. Although I agree, her acting was the weakest in the entire movie. As long as they keep the aforementioned 3 and Gary Oldman, sign me up for opening weekend.

KATIE HOLMES WILL NOT BE IN THE SEQUEL!!!

YESSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

I thought the movie was outstanding. I thin Bale is up there with Keaton. The key to the Batman role is also being able to carry the Bruce Wayne role as well. Bale did a spectacular job and I can't wait to see what is in store for the sequel.

happy gaming
you guys can say whatever you want about katie holmes...

i'd still hit it
Not likely. She'd see that you're all infested with body thetans and would run away screaming.

She was definitely the weakest link in the batchain, so Goodbye.

So who do you think would make a good Joker? My friends and I were discussing it the other night and I'd like to see Sam Rockwell take the roll.

Rockwell is good idea, great idea actually, although I think I may be leaning towards Benicio Del Toro, talk about crazy, he's always seems nuts

I know they most likely won't, but I almost hope Scarecrow shows up briefly in the next one. I really enjoyed Cillian in this movie. Before the movie, I never really liked Scarecrow as a villain, but Cillian seemed made for the part. Even if it's just a "Look at this crazy guy we caught outside!" scene, it'd be awesome.

I finally got to see it and I thought it was great. I am a Batman fanboy, and it's the best Batman movie I've seen so far. Even better than the original two directed by Tim Burton.
