If you like tactical rpg's I think it's definately worth $10. It's not as complicated or involving as say Final Fantasy Tactics Advance but it's not a bad game at all, I have enjoyed it.

Like I said in my first post in this topic, I enjoyed it more than FFTA. It is much more of an old-school type strategy-RPG than FFTA or other modern S-RPGs. It is a lot more refreshing and far better these days to have a simple game that is fun rather than a complicated game that frustrates you.

I can confirm Simpson's Hit and Run. Just got back from my BB and sure enough Simpson's was 9.99. So i would assume all the other mentioned titles are accurate as well. It is Hit and Run, not Road Rage

Thank you!

I've wanted to pick up Whiplash for awhile, I was just there on Friday and it was still $29.99. I almost picked it up because I was tired of waiting for a cheap ass price and most stores don't have it anymore, but I didn't.

I went back this morning and picked it up for $9.99.

No Hit & Run luck here....There wasn't even a label for it....There was a label for Kung Fu Chaos but no game....All I got was NCAA Football 2004 PS2 for $9.99...Is this game even online still? Can't believe how many football games I own....NCAA Football 2004 for Xbox, ESPN NFL 2k4 xbox, ESPN NFL 2k5 ps2 & xbox, NCAA Football 2005, and MADDEN NFL 2005 CE.....

Got the last copy of XIII (GC) from the Utica location. Only other GC games they had in were Swingerz Golf and Madden '02.
There was a placeholder for Simpson's H&R at regular price. I had the sales associate check to see if they had any copies but her computer showed it as discontinued.
Looks like I'll have to be on the watch for a pricedrop on this game at CC next.

Edit: Almost forgot...Thanks OP !

I had the same issue with Arx Fatalis and I was glad I managed to pick it up. Ditto there for Whiplash.

Then again, PMing Whiplash to $7.99 and Arx Fatalis to $8.99 (was $19.99) wouldn't have been too bad.

I picked up Kung Fu Chaos. I've been eyeing it every since I played the demo a while ago its a pretty funny game. I saw other games but resisted because of how huge this fall is going to be and I'm saving.

Picked up quite a few games at a Best Buy in Westwood, LA.

Gamecube games

Spawn
XIII
Conflict Desert Storm

XBOX games
Arx Fatalis
Grabbed by the Ghoulies

They had some others, like the hobbit and star fox adventures that i didnt pick up. THere is still an Arx Fatalis there and some Spawn's. Didnt check the ps2 section.

Potomac Yards BB had tons (at least 10 copies) of Simpsons Hit and Run... no $9.99 price tags yet.

PM me if anyone wants a copy. I can try and get some for a nominal fee... :)

Shady Grove BB had the $9.99 price tags out...
Also: Drag Racing was $9.99 for both PS2 and Xbox

*Edit* I forgot.. Dave Mirra BMX 2?? (Xbox) also had the $9.99 price tag.

I just got back from the Morse Rd. (Columbus, OH) store, picked up Ridge Racer (GC) and Max Payne (GBA). There were still copies of both as well as Spy Hunter 2 (Xbox) ,Star Trek SU (Xbox), and Whiplash (Xbox). No Onimusha Tactics, Desert Storm (GC) or XIII (GC) at the Morse Rd. store. Didn't notice any other games there.

Simpsons H&R (GC) is sold out at all the Columbus stores. I'm going to check out the Tuttle Crossing BB for the other titles later.

There was definitely a few 2004 sports games I would've picked up, as well as, Star Fox or Simpsons, but both the Westland and Novi, MI BB's were out. Both of those stores generally suck when it comes to having anything in stock though.

Did anyone scan the XBOX version of Simpsons Hit & Run? Is it $9.99 too or full price? It is not listed on their website (only the PS2 version is listed), that I could find.

So did anyone scan it in-store just to make sure?

From the BB guy I spoke with, he said he couldn't find the info in the computer, which means they're likely selling out of the product.

It would be cool if it was $9.99 as well, might be and we could only be so lucky.

My best buy was a total waste of time... good thing TRU was nearby and was able to stock up of their clearance sale goodness... 5 games for under 10 bucks...

Greenville, S.C.

I scored Max Payne, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, and Sphinx, all for Xbox.

I got the last Sphinx, there was one Ghoulies left, and several Max Paynes. They did not have most of the other games, none for GC. They had Payne for GBA (lots) too but I decided against it.
Can someone scan the XBOX version of Simpsons Hit & Run and post if it's $9.99?
I can't confirm.. but I do believe Simpsons Hit and Run is only $9.99 for GC.

Schaumburg, Illinois

Picked up Whiplash, Spy Hunter 2, and Arx Fatalis all for Xbox.

They had 3 or more of Whiplash and Spy Hunter 2 left. It looks like they had most of the stuff on the list on other platforms too (except GBA).

The clerk was clueless when I checked out with those 3 games, so word probably hasn't hit there yet.

Yeahman - just to verify, but by "Star Trek: SU," I presume you mean ST Shattered Universe, the recent space shooter, right?

The reviews were lackluster at best, but I've been curious about this one for a while now. There are just so damn few space shooters these days you have to take what you can get, even when they're not so good - especially for 10 bucks. ;)

And thanks for the posting!

They had a copy of the PS2 version at Hickory Hollow (Nashville, TN) last night, but after checking the reviews, I put it back on the shelf. I did pick up Sega GT Online, Onimusha Tactics, Crash Nitro Cart (GBA), and Enter the Matrix (PC).

After BB, I checked out EB (not much, although he did tell me they just trashed some guides, including Super Mario 4 and Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga  ), and Target. At Target, I found the Deal of the Century (Splinter Cell + Prince of Persia) for PS2. I already have both games for Xbox, so if anyone is interested in the PS2 verions, let me know (yeah, I know it doesn't really belong in this thread, sorry).

Wasn't Star Trek: SU a FPS? I've actually seen a decent review score or 2.

BTW I called my BB and they said that Simpsons H&R has been discontinued for both Xbox and GCN. Now I'm pretty sure the cleark meant that it's discontinued from their system, but I wonder if production had really stopped on both ver. I know for a fact H&R sold poorly on all 3 systems, but why discontinue 2 versions and not the PS2 ver?

Ummm, actually Hit & Run was one of Universal's Best Sellers last year, way over a million world wide. Don't know totals, but they praised the title in their quarterly results a few quarters ago

Picked up the last Sega GT at the Matteson, IL BB ($5 after Gamepro coupon mind you). They did have one copy of Arx Fatalis, but I left it behind for someone else.

Thanks OP!

Yeah that Star Trek game is Shattered Universe.

I'm a fan of both Star Trek and space shooters so I was tempted, but I remembered the poor reviews. When I checked it has a 50% for PS2 and a 46% for XBOX.

I hit the BB yesterday and today. I was able to get NFL Fever 2004 and Whiplash. I also saw Swingerz Golf and Pro Race Driver (ps2) for 9.99 and Time Splitters 2 (gc) for 14.99.

Scored Sphinx, Prince of Persia (been wanting this game for so long, but this was the first time I saw it at BB), and Spy Hunter 2, which I later returned for credit towards Black Arrow. :)

Thanks yeahman.

I don't think it's a video game sale? It's a price drop, so the Best Buy prices are permanent until the games are completely sold out...

Hmm, but it does say markdowns instead of sale. I'm not really sure if the markdowns will end tomorrow. If, I have a chance, I'll stop by Best Buy on Sunday and find out for myself...

i'm stoppin by there anyways, cuz i'm gonna go to EB and then rape FYE with trade in...i mean, get trade in credit from $10 games from EB, lol
