- Xbox 360 Arcade - $200 w/ $100 GC at Walmart ($90 out of pocket)
Had a $20 giftcard at walmart and my dad gave me $90 for the gift card since he had to buy a vacuum cleaner anyway. My old 360 was on it's last legs (RROD), so the choice was obvious. IMO, best deal for a system in the whole month, and it was one of those pre black friday deals.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - $60 preorder at GS ($0 out of pocket)
Traded in my failing 360 at EB for $60 and used the funds for MW2. Basically I got a brand new xbox 360 and modern warfare 2 in exchange for $90 and my broken one. Good deal.
- Left 4 Dead 2 - $40 on sale at amazon ($0 out of pocket)
Took part in one of Amazons buy $80 get $40 credit sales. Bought some cheap / on sale games, sold them on craigslist for $80, spent the $40 credit on L4D2 during one of the black friday sales.
- Viva Pinata: TIP - $5 at Hollywood Video
- Halo Wars - $5 at Hollywood Video
- Saints Row 2 - $5 at Hollywood Video

Any used game $29.99 and under at HWV = $5 for the weekend of black friday. If you think this haul was even half way decent, try checking out the deals forum for the mega hauls. 20+ game purchases were not uncommon. :lol: I'm satisfied with my Halo Wars purchase though. Tossing that in the collection, giving VP to my girlfriend (probably the only 360 game she enjoys.. her dad ended up winning one at some work function but she never uses it).. and outside of that who knows. Hopefully I'll find myself getting $5 of entertainment out of these games.

Needed something to play (LOVE hockey games, NHL '94 still probably holds a top 10 spot of my all time favorites.. and I heard a lot of great things about this one on the forums), and needed a mic for MW2.

For some reason my friend tried getting his 360 fixed with MS but couldn't, even though it still had a year left on the warranty. Said something like they told him they couldn't do it because he didn't register it or something? Not sure where he was running into problems, because a 10 minute phone call to MS later I was printing out my tracking number and packing it up to be shipped out for repairs. Going to use this guy to upgrade my dad for Christmas. He's been playing the hell out of my old xbox with SWBF2, Gun, and a few other games. Eventually going to pick up COD2 and Quantum of Solace for him as well.
November was a great month.

I got it fixed on craigslist a while ago, but I wasn't sure how much longer it was going to hold out. For all I know it won't RROD again. Wasn't about to take the chance though.
