I can't beleive we are 1 week away from finally getting this game. Is anyone else here excited? This game apparently did not sell very well in Japan, however I hope t sels better here.
 
I'm sure just like the GBA Castlevanias it will be sweet. Being that I still have to play through HOD and AOS (Finished COTM) I probably won't pick it up right away.
 
Fully paid for using that $5 bonus per game deal at EB. I kept Aria of Sorrow even after I beat it just in case there's some kind of unlockable when you leave it in the DS gameboy slot a la Advance Wars 1 & 2. This and Sonic Rush are the two I'm most looking forward to this fall/winter.

Why didn't it do so well in Japan?
 
I'm just finishing up my play through AoS. Hopefully I'll have that beat this weekend and be all set for DoS next week! :whistle2:D

Are stores going to have it in on Tuesday? Specifically, will Best Buy have it in then? I've got a gift card to spend.

I can't wait for this. The soundtrack alone is worth the price of most Castlevania games. Now if they could make a 2d scroller version for the next gen consoles. Castlevania in 3d just doesn't work.....

Son of a bitch I still have to beat Advance Wars... and like 30 other games. There should be two christmasses a year so that games come out twice a year instead of all at once.
 
I already pre-order it from BB while back for $25. Hope it goes on sale for $29.99 when it hit street date so i can use new BB $10 off coupon and get it for $20.

Hint: If you beat the game with main character and unlock Belmont to be playable character. Also, you can unlock another 2-3 more characters (not sure is playable or not but you can change the graphic look like in CAstlevania III oR X)

You get an extra item if you have AoS in your GBA slot.
 
I'll pay $50 for this. I don't care - I just want it with almost every fiber of my being. I stole my co-workers copy of AoS (because my girl has mine) to play after I finish up SotN tonight. I think I can have fun with it in the week between those two. XD
 
Remember that Castlevanias recently on the GBA have been sold in relatively limited numbers, so to assure that you get your copy get yours quickly. I bought Harmony at release, and I have yet to see another decent copy to buy back...at a price higher than I originally paid.

And yes, Holy Crap. I also got a DS solely for this and the new Super Mario Bros.

For whatever reason, the series isn't as revered over there as it is here. This is actually one of the first Castlevanias to get a good score from Famitsu.

There are some people that just want more Metroidvania in their life, considering no one else is using the layout. Plus, it seems more an excellent combination of Symphony of the Night (design layout), Dracula's Curse (you'll see), and Aria of Sorrow's Tactical Soul system, which is more then enough for me.

However, I want to beat SOMEONE for killing Ayami Kojima's visual eyecandy in favor of GAC (Generic Anime Crap).
 
Just beat Aria of Sorrow last night. Can't wait to get Dawn of Sorrow! Any reviews of the US version up anywhere yet?

for once I agree with you....but I am buying it next week anyway. I hate the main character and the story, but the gameplay is fun.

The more I think about it, isn't this going to be almost exactly like the last 3 GBA games? Not that that is a bad thing but...
 
this game slipped out of my radar until recently a fellow CAGer posted that its comming out in a couple of days I was like oh man must get probably gonna go pre-order tomorrow hmmm.

I hope there is a shotgun or pistol in DoS. For some reason, I really liked AoS's guns.
 
Nope its coming out on October 4th. Where getting it on Monday midnight or early Tuesday morning or afternoon. It depend on dhl. When I mean afternoon its normally around 11:00 am, one hour after our store opens. Alot of games and dvd come out on Tuesday the 4th.

Ok, as every website states
"Pre-Order: Ships on 10/04/2005"
That means it will be in MOST stores on the 5th. Sure, a FEW EBs/GameStops may get it in on the 4th at 7PM, but 95% will not. Ship date is not a release date.

DVDs are released Tuesdays, games generally come out o Wednesdays (Besides official Nintendo releases which are Tuesdays).
 
I've heard you can use a clear file from Aria to get a bonus goodie in Dawn. I can't remember what exactly it was though. Guess I'll find out come Wednesday.
 
you get the item rare ring if you have AoS in you GBA slot. If you dont have AoS, you can still get the ring near the end of the game.
 
Playing through SotN for the first time. Only other Castlevania ive played through was Circle of the Moon. I like these games. Might have to trade some stuff in for it though...
