THE OFFICIAL DS Impressions Thread
... call me when The Sims actually add 'learning' to the game, where you don't have to tell a hungry Sim to eat, or tell it to go to the restroom.
You do realize that would basically kill the whole Sims gaming experience, right? I mean, I certainly agree it's not for everybody, but that IS kinda the point of the game.

Probably gonna get that Feel The Magic (but I've heard it's short someone post detail impressions on that game please) ,I have been playing so much so that while I was playing Super Mario Advance 4 it turned off on me...Time to charge the battery.....it's a b-day gift for myself....The Backlight and speaker and graphics are ok...The metroid prime demo leaves a LOT to be desired...I found out it's only 30 feet range to have wireless gameplay and chatting...THIS is a HUGE disappointment for me unless someone knows different...hell that was it's major selling point to me...possibly playing with other gamers from ANYWHERE not just spitting distance...why would I need to type something or pictograph to someone if they are standing right in front of me....Nintendo let me down on this part...I feel I have nothing more than a glorified GBA right now until titles (Maybe Wario Ware, Inc. DS) interest me....
why would you expect unlimited wireless range? they would have had to include some kind of cell phone network to do something like that and that means a monthly bill.
Yeah, did you *really* expect to be able to connect with people anywhere in the world wirelessly?
I would think/hope he was thinking about connecting via the internet. It does have 802.11b, after all.

^^^^damn right that's the least I wanted...you got it correct their guessed...all these other guesses/assumptions were way off (that's right I'm looking @ u milkyman and icruise...mehhh..)

I picked up Mario and Madden...Mario is pretty sweet, I had the 64 version, never got into it...So it feels like the first time I'm playing it...

Madden is like Madden was on the 64, horrid graphics, but it's football, so it's fun...Not as much depth as the console versions, only hot routes and two formation changes, the kicking meter uses the touch screen, it's kind of halfassed though...I would only recommend Madden if you like the games back in the day, if you can live with the graphics, it's good...

I really like the Metroid demo, FPS's are gonna be awesome on this, I hold onto hope that we get a true goldeneye translation, I'll even take Perfect Dark...Is Rare onboard with this thing??? I know they're contracted to Microsoft, but that might be exclusive to console gaming

Online is coming.
Well, rare is on with the GBA (Donkey Kong Countrys) So I'm guessing they'll be with the DS too.
Nintendo owns Donkey Kong, not Rare.
