The official "Gunstar Super Heroes is kicking my ass" thread

For all you all who got in on GSH for $5 at GS, this thread is for you all.

For those of you that haven't, buy the game ASAP. It is a worthy successor to the original Gunstar Heroes.

I'm partial to all of Treasure's GBA work, actually, AGH, Astro Boy... Though I can see people not liking AGH...

Still, GSH is worth your money, especially at $5-$10.

UPDATE: Now with 100% more Pink's cleavage:

i forget if I ever beat the last stage...at $5, I think I'll pick it up again. great stuff :)

laaj, you have to enable "Show Back-ordered Items" or whatever it is at the bottom, and that can only be turned on if you do a VALID search.

Predator, yeah, with a bit of practice (And if you're willing to use "'sploits"), the game easily becomes doable.

I got this game back when it first released for the original price...

Oh well, at least I still have it, and go back to it when Pokemon and Puzzle Quest lose their charm on me.

Is it just me, or is the helicopter level the cheapest thing ever? It's harder than Ninja Gaiden for me.

Clemenceau, yes, that helicopter level sucks eggs, but if you play it right and get lucky, you can get through it.

Ace, yeah, it really plays the remake thing a bit too openly, but I think it really does capture the madcap mayhem of the original. I'm kind of sick of the original at this point anyway, though.

As far as knowledge compilation goes, the enemies will guard the plot of the game a lot more closely if you're playing on a weaker difficulty level, but you'll get more of the story if you go to Hard.

I found this really cheap (~$3) at TRU a few weeks ago. I am stuck on Moon 3 (I think). The boss takes on like 6 different forms...I quit on it a while ago because I got frustrated. Any tips to beat him?

Double-tap R for your specials? The standard blaster flamethrower makes short work of just about anyone, and almost unbalances the game.

Still, it makes Seven Force/Green a LOT easier.

I loved the green auto-homing weapon thingy in the original Gunstar. Looks like this one doesn't have quite the same effect.

Just beat moon 3.

The homers in this one behave more like Homing+Lightning in the original.

Which was, really, the only way to play with homers in the original.

Shit, I didn't even know I could do that. Now I feel like those guys in the Wii RE4 thread that didn't know you could run:oops:

I prefered homer+homer in original.
