This thread reminded me of a habit I have (or at least used to have) where I would take a screenshot of my desktop at least once a year (sometimes more) to keep as a snapshot of what I was up to at that point in life. It sounds stupid, but when you spend as much time on your computer as I do a simple screen cap can tell a lot. I have about 10 shots dating back as far as 6+ years ago. Here are a couple I pulled out and sanitized just for your viewing pleasure:
January 2002:
Ahh Subspace... how I miss thee.
August 2003:
NOLF2 and SimTower = Classic.
Star Wars Galaxies = Dissapointing.
September 2004:
The WoW problem begins.
February 2008
Gaming habits are less obvious in this shot due to lack of shortcuts on the desktop. This is because I now launch all my games through Steam.
