My lease is up, but I'm looking into moving somewhere else for 6 - 12 months.

Then I'm pretty sure I'll buy a place.

Actually, I think it makes him a creep with 35 different colors of blinds, 19 different table cloths depending on his mood, and a maxed out IKEA card.
 
Actually if you are really looking at getting your finances in order to buy a place and your mom doesn't mind you moving back in that might not be a bad idea.

It would save me a lot of money, but I really like being on my own. My mom doesn't have a giant place either, and my stuff just wouldn't fit there anymore.

Do you mean
Wii Settings -> TV Resolution -> EDTV or HDTV (480p) ?
If so, then I already did that. I also set it into Widescreen.
 
Then other than tweaking that input's TV settings. That's as good as it gets.

It's just the HD from your 360 that have made the Wii ugly in comparison. You'll get used to it.
 
I can see *some* differences. I just played a level in Mario Galaxy. Now luigi, the toads and Rosalina looked kinda fuzzy.. sorta. However, the stage and the background looked sharp.

I went into the Mii Channel and it looked like an episode of Dr Katz on how everyone was looking squiggly :(

TFN, we have the same TV right? (Olevia 37".. model 237T?)
Any suggestions on what to do with the settings? There don't seem to be many (at least to my knowledge) in terms of the screen settings.

EDIT: Oh also, I have the Wii/360 hooked together with a switchbox. Though, that shouldn't really take away anything.. right? Since I have my 360 on right now, nothing seems changed.
 
boo - Why not give it a look without the switcher in between?

frosty - GRAW is one that I picked up too and I've already played through SR. SR is a fun game but pretty stingy on the GPs.

And I liked GR on the PC -- so GRAW should be nice... I kind of dug the demo, but it's one of those realistic type games wubb -- one or two BAPs and someone is down. ;)

Switcher could be causing it -- I'm still not sure why li'l boo didn't go with the HDMI connection for the cable STB freeing up the 2 component inputs for the wii and 360... (or why he didn't go VGA for the 360) :whistle2:#
 
Time for a new cell phone after 2 years.


It's just the 4 free ones they have all suck. A pink one, and Nextel POS, and 2 LG ones. My brother has one of them, and I don't like it. The last phone is the same thing, except without a camera.
 
I don't like how when you do a "view post" on an ignored user, it now shows with ajax, cause if I want that post to go away again, then I have to reload the page. =\

Well I had this switchbox. I didn't realize it had component input/outputs too :D
I didn't go with HDMI because I don't think I can. Unless I can go HDMI without having a console without the HDMI output..??

BTW, my TV goes up to 1080i, just wondering what my 360 settings should be on? 720p or 1080i?

Isn't the BD version mono?
I have it and it looks nice and clean.
Not much in the way of extras.

If you don't care that much about the upgrade visually (and it's not that huge, but is noticable) and like extras, get the DVD.
 
I have mine set to 1080i, boo.

I keep the picture settings to normal pretty much(minus a few brightness/sharpness tweaks) , but I used Beautiful Katamari to change my colors/contrasts around. I don't remember the default settings being bad at all, so you might want to stick with that unless you have a preference for things to be brighter/sharper. You might want to just keep the aspect ratio at Normal otherwise it'll end up stretching shit like your Wii and regular cable when you get the HD box.

To my knowledge, all Cable HD STBs have an HDMI out.

you can go either, try each to see if you like one over the other, but 720p should be good enough -- 1080i is higher resolution but it's not progressive scan... but since your TV is below 40", you probably won't notice.
