If you're gonna do VGA, boo, try a local GS for one of those cables used.

I think they're like 8.99.

If not, try Ebay before you drop 39.99 on the official one.

I want cereal, but I don't have any milk.

I could go get milk, but then I would have to put pants on.

It's a lose lose situation.

I knew there were better deals on it out there, but I was just looking for a link as to what to order. VGA should be better than component cables, no? Just not quite the level of HDMI, I think...

Try this to see if your GS has them:

You could try to go get cereal without putting pants on.

I mean, hell, it's Nevada... you're not going to get frostbite out there... so what's the worse that could happen? You make a new friend or two?
I can see *some* differences. I just played a level in Mario Galaxy. Now luigi, the toads and Rosalina looked kinda fuzzy.. sorta. However, the stage and the background looked sharp.

I went into the Mii Channel and it looked like an episode of Dr Katz on how everyone was looking squiggly :(

TFN, we have the same TV right? (Olevia 37".. model 237T?)
Any suggestions on what to do with the settings? There don't seem to be many (at least to my knowledge) in terms of the screen settings.

EDIT: Oh also, I have the Wii/360 hooked together with a switchbox. Though, that shouldn't really take away anything.. right? Since I have my 360 on right now, nothing seems changed.
Depends on the switchbox. The one I picked up from BB a while back was tested with multiple consoles and worked without issue. My Wii goes to it and looks very good, though obviously not as good as the 360 or PS3.
scored Saint's Row and GRAW without the stickers on the insert. noice.
Nice indeed.
Time for a new cell phone after 2 years.

It's just the 4 free ones they have all suck. A pink one, and Nextel POS, and 2 LG ones. My brother has one of them, and I don't like it. The last phone is the same thing, except without a camera.
I'm guessing you have Sprint service?
Well I had this switchbox. I didn't realize it had component input/outputs too :D
I didn't go with HDMI because I don't think I can. Unless I can go HDMI without having a console without the HDMI output..??
You could go HDMI with the 360, as someone (Psyclone, I think) has a component-to-HDMI adapter, which is $99, and makes it not so worth it.
And that's why I didn't do it with HDMI
I have a premium 360. The best I can do is component, yes?

BTW, my TV goes up to 1080i, just wondering what my 360 settings should be on? 720p or 1080i?
I have mine set at the VGA equivalent of 720p and it works great. 1366 x 768, if I remember right.
To my knowledge, all Cable HD STBs have an HDMI out.

you can go either, try each to see if you like one over the other, but 720p should be good enough -- 1080i is higher resolution but it's not progressive scan... but since your TV is below 40", you probably won't notice.
My Motorola boxes from Charter don't have HDMI out, only component. Their DVR has a HDMI out.
I knew there were better deals on it out there, but I was just looking for a link as to what to order. VGA should be better than component cables, no? I can't say for HDMI as the PS3 goes via HDMI and I only have one HDMI port on my TV.

I'm in Northern Nevada, Closer to Oregon and Idaho it's like 40 degrees out right now. Not southern where it is like 60-70 degrees right now.

Just trying to initiate a deal.

The guy has DMC4 and wants Burnout Paradise, so I offered my Burnout Paradise for his DMC4.

Ok, correction, HD DVR STBs should all have an HDMI out -- but if you're getting it from the cable company, check it before you leave and see if you can swap it for a unit that does have an HDMI out -- problem solved.

As always. What were you looking for this time? DMC4 for Burnout still or something else?

(B) false hope that the beagle won't like the cold and will want to get in ASAP
(C) laziness

Brown, what picture of TFN did you post?

About the STB, Charter says that they're only doing HDMI on DVR's, so I'm stiffed there. Which is one more reason to start swapping out Tivo's with STB's paired up with Tivo HD's and dual cable cards.

Looking at my Wii again.. it doesn't look too bad I guess. I think Dallow was right, since I was so amazed with my 360 looking the way it did..turning on the Wii was kinda.. feh.

I guess I'll have to settle for my Miis looking like they belong on Dr Katz.. sigh.

So if I open a dispute on eBay and the guy still hasn't paid in a week what do I do? Just vlose the dispute and leave negative rating?

There shouldn't be jittering or stuttering... just potentially fuzziness. If there's jittering, you may want to power-cycle the TV... if you need a video, I can look for the one I had of my 1080p stuttering ish that resolved itself after a power-cycle.

Brak, Burnout gets a lot better as you progress through the licenses. Partly because the initial cars suck donkey di-yuck and partly because it's a lot more fun when you become familiar with the city and don't have to rely on your map so much. I'd recommend you at least play until you get your A license and optimally your Burnout license. The Mustang/Charger knock-off they give you for getting the latter is .

BTW, I found the model of the player I have.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Mini-Disc-...ryZ15056QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

(That's not mine, just using it as an example.)

Mine's in really good condition(a couple of paint knicks on the corner but no real scratches) and I "only" have the dock, in line remote and 10+ rewriteable minidiscs. I might have the power adapter somewhere, I'll have to check on that one. Since I mostly want to get rid of it and don't want to mess with ebay if I don't have to, I can do $50 shipped. Lemme know if you're interested.

Oh mang, that should totally be that guy's avatar.

If what I've heard is true, you should do this ASAP, as next week eBay is supposedly removing the ability for sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers... Chika mentioned something about an eBay sellers strike or something that's supposed to happen in the next week or so to oppose this change as well as the drastic increase in the commisions taken from items selling for less than $25 or something...

The racing sucks D, though... and I like the Burnout franchise for the racing and for Crash Mode. :|

Yeah, there's doing some really fucking stupid shit. I hate eBay even more.

They've cut down a little on listing fees and eliminated a cost for gallery pictures, but hiked their final value prices WAY the fuck up. Dumbasses.

Too bad I have to sell a GHIII on their soon.

I was really asking what to do in this situation since I've never had this happen. Can he retaliate even though he never paid me? Is closing it the right thing to do?

I think you have to file the NPB stuff -- then you can leave him a negative or whatever once that's done and you've been vindicated. Wubb would know for sure, someone activate the penguin signal!

I don't know if you saw my post about selling GH2 awhile back, but FYI, you'll probably want to charge about $15 for shipping when you dump GH3. I ended up paying $14.70 or so for priority w/ DC from NY to AL. Parcel Post (the only other option) was $10.91 or something.

Really that's all it is. Just some fuzziness around the Miis, and other characters. I've only tried Mario Galaxy & Wii Sports. Like I said about Mario.. Luigi, Toads, and Rosalina had that same thing going for them like the Miis.. they seemed to be brighter, just not as sharp. Everything in the background looked great though.

Thanks Frosty, I'll keep it in mind.

Someone with eBay experience tell me if closing the dispute is the right way to end all ties with the buyer, since he won't pay. :/
So if I open a dispute on eBay and the guy still hasn't paid in a week what do I do? Just vlose the dispute and leave negative rating?
yeah you should close it and get your fees refunded, but they can still leave a neg on you after closing. Not sure what the rules governing that are, but that's what happened to me.
