The OTT still sucks

I'm stuck too. 5 page paper where I choose 1 topic and write anything about it. Can use any source (except for Wikipedia). Already filled up 3 1/2 pages and dont know what else I can write.
Getting this abstract under 500 words is way harder than I thought.
You can cut something, trust me. Have a sentence longer than two lines? Cut that shit down. Get to the point and quickly.
I've read A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings and I loved them both. I'm not even a fan of the fantasy genre. Whats cool about them is that they have a bunch of multiple stories going on at once and all of them are interesting and there's a lot of political intrigue and power struggle. Its like an ever changing chess match between the warring factions/families. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. It's a little complicated at first because a lot of characters/locations are thrown at you at once as if you're expected to know them but once you get familiar with everything it gets really good.
Thanks for that. I don't care for fantasy stuff at all, but the way they were describing it on HBO sounded great. It was just as you said. I've also heard that the author is a hell of a writer. Reading good writers helps me with my own writing.

Wait... A five page paper, where you can choose any topic, and use any source, and you can't bullshit more than four pages.

What's your topic?

Have you had a class in this same field before? If so take and old paper and expand, refine, condense or truncate as required.

Also (for any OTT members that voted) thanks:
I always felt papers in english, history, and philosophy classes were easy. I was an engineering major.
Engineering majors are the worst writers and tend to be way too literal. Not saying you are, but I find that many struggle because they're not told how to think.

Photography, specifically Richard Avedon.

I already wrote about his biography, some of his major works he did, and the style he was famous for in the industry.

I concur. I think it is because of all the technical reports we write, which are difficult to construct even though they are cookie cutter.

I enjoyed writing essays for my other classes though. I wanted to minor in History but I couldn't handle the physics/math homework and essays at the same time.

Are all those poor girls handicapped

bless their souls

My GF is a juggalo. She's actually literally in a juggalo tinychat right now and ignoring me.

temp where did u get that avatar

fun fact: one time my gf was snooping in one of our tinychats and she read when someone said something about me sending nudes of my ex and she still uses that to get mad at me from time to time. (i don't have nudes of my ex)

Simple stuff. reading/Research. Word Processing. Email. Just want something that's portable and easy to use. The laptop I have is good, but it weighs on me and I have a feeling it might crash on me any day now since the hdd is making a clicking sound every couple of minutes.
If I ever did say that it was about my ex and I don't even think I ever said that dudes
What are you talking about? You mean the hand comment?

Yeah. But also I was blessed with really large and soft hands.

One time my GF's grandpa's doggy licked them for a solid 20 minutes and everyone watched and it was a good family moment.

Can you even print with an iPad? I don't see how tablets can be of any practical use.

We get it (sucks)2(many)D(icks)...you hate technology...

Why don't you go live with CheapestGamer and DMK in a homosexual Luddite commune or something?

You could say the same about blowjobs, but that doesn't mean people won't pay good money for them.

I don't hate technology, I just can't get behind the iPad. It's an oversized iPod that plays flash games.

This is coming from a guy that owns a mac and iPod touch.

You might be right though - out here in the stix, I only got broadband 4 years ago, and got my first cell phone 1 year ago.
I still haven't upgraded to an HDTV yet. I'm just slow to adopt some stuff.

Was going to stop at Best Buy for the Tron Legacy soundtrack, but was too tired and went home. Surprised to come home to find reward zone coupons in the mail that work for the week for 10% off. Usually they seem to pick the worst times for those coupons when nothing comes out, but that was a pleasant surprise to come home to.
No shit, that's why I don't have one now.

And ain't you the guy who can't afford hates smart phones?

Yes, I'm pretty vocal about smart phones/cell phones, but that doesn't mean I hate them/don't use them.

Watch TV for a hour on any channel at any time of day. Everytime there's an ad, there's at least 1 smart phone/cell phone ad. The public is really bullshitted about how much they think they need them and nobody questions them. They're as bad as SUVs. They're useful to certain people, but probably only

You fucking liar! There's video evidence.

Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

Since I shamefully don't own Tora! Tora! Tora! (the only good Pearl Harbor fillm) I think I will watch Saving Private Ryan.

Edit:
Do you want to see my hands dude
In your last video you held your hand up in the foreground comparing it to your girl in the background.

Also, 2D is dumber than JolietJake was.

Hello, OTTers.

I too am writing a paper. Decided to wait until the day before it was due, to start my Sociology term paper. Sucks that it's 2000 words or more, but it's about me so it shouldn't take too long at all.
Can you even print with an iPad? I don't see how tablets can be of any practical use.
To answer your question yes you can. Currently apps are printer brand specific and features vary (e.g. HP & Epson ). I've done it via iPhone and iPad. You can also use a KB, the battery on the iPad rivals most 6 cell netbooks making them a great alternative. I would still hold off on getting one however. My wife loves hers and has lotus notes on hers and is accessing her work's enterprise server with it now.

I think the android and Win 7 version will be the way to go for me.

And as far as games go . . . Epic Castle (and hopefully Infinity Blade) has demonstrated the power of these things as gaming devices- even on an iPad. It's impressive and hardly a flash game.

Once again you're talking out of your ass.

2DMention is in his thirties, lives with his parents and finds terms like "Gaylo Reach-around" hilarious.

If you are picking between an iPad or MacBook pro, I would definitely go with the iPad. Not only would you save a ton of money, I use it for everything you need to do and more, and I can't imagine grad school without it.

For reading and research, iAnnotate is the best pdf annotation app. You can easily tab up PDFs, highlight, underline, write notes on documents and organize everything into folders.

For note taking, I just use Pages, but there are a lot of note specific apps. Stuff that will record lectures and let you write with your finger, etc... but Pages works fine for me.

What email service do you use? Gmail has always worked fine with my iPad and I've never once had a problem.

I'm also assuming you have a computer at home you can sync this to, right?

Correct. It is however, more than simply an entertainment device. After using one, I'm confident that tablets (with wireless/bt/detachable KBs for those who need them) will replace laptops.
