Still more health than I like.

That's why I only played the "one shot" custom games.

I think that's why I really like CoD4.
The only other shooter I really got into was R6, the first ones.
R6, the original, back in 1998 -- that shit was $$$... it's why I had a piqued interest in R6:V, GRAW2, and CoD4. I too like the more realistic health system, rather than the taking 3 hits with a rocket launcher cause I have an energy shield style of halo or whatever.

Resistance is a bit like CoD for sure -- you only have 4 health units and they can go pretty fast if you're hit accurately... it's like slightly more arcade-ish CoD, save the alien type weaponry like the arc charger (
Someone beat this $$$$y to the punch, please.

How is he going to go about sending his flashed RROD box back to MS?
Just put the warranty sticker back on the box.

That thread is scurry because they're doing that test in Texas and they're the only cable provider around here. I don't wanna go back to DSL, even if it'll be like 3x cheaper. I used to download like nearly 100GB on a good month off usenet too, so I guess I'd be one of the ones they're trying to fuck over.

Just got back from interviewing Lloyd Carr and some hall of fame Michigan football players for a company that is doing a doc on Bo schembechler

It was pretty cool.
There are a lot of discoveries to be made on those tapes, especially when you can isolate the vocals. Listen carefully to the bit in “Suffragette City,” where David Bowie says “Ah, hit me” before the guitar solo. You can hear Bowie giggling after he says it, like he knew how silly it sounded and liked it anyway. Likewise, the group vocals on Faith No More’s “We Care a Lot” are a hoot: You can hear a lot of laughing between the lines, complete with one bit—covered up by guitars on the record—where one guy sings “That was corrr-nyy.” As Brosius notes, “They’re basically cracking each other up.”
Oh, dear.

I'd wager, unless you're downloading large amounts of movies/games/music/etc via torrents or usenet that it wouldn't really hurt you. Email/Web/Gaming probably don't transfer that much data comparatively.

Maybe it'll have some sort of considering for download vs upload. Cause if you're serving a mass of torrents and have lots of people downloading off you, I'm sure that puts a dent in their bandwidth too, since the machine is on their network... so perhaps it won't be as bad for only the people downloading.

Balanced or close to balanced DL/UL, they'll start getting suspicious.

It's a way to ferret out the pirates who are DLing 100GB off of Usenet and the like.

But I am downloading massive amounts off usenet. I do around 30/40GB on a light month 50/60 on an average one and 80/90 on a busy one.

Actually, I guess it wouldn't be a big deal. They're kinda fucking "me"(my parents are actually footing the bill) over right now at ~$50/month for internet before taxes and $50+/month before taxes for vanilla analog cable.

I was thinking the same thing about uploading and torrents. I don't touch either so I'm not concerned about that.

That sounds about right. With 1 HD-DVR box & Internet, it's like $115 a month. Take off the $15 for the DVR box and you're probably right back to the 50/50 split you talk about. My hope here is that maybe, with just the email, the occasional torrent download of a TV show that was missed or an album I'm thinking of picking up, and the 360/PS3 traffic (well, I do have my home office day traffic too... but that usually isn't THAT much), I should be on the lower tiers of users, which I would hope would drop my monthly payment.
Oh, dear.
I want to hear those things.

That type of stuff fascinates me.

Comcast is in Texas too.

Up here you don't get a choice. There's only 1 service provider for your area. For example, in the MHV, Most of Poughkeepsie is Time Warner, while Fishkill and Highland are Cablevision. Saugerties, Kingston, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, they're all TWC.

They're not this far south yet(I know they're in Houston and maybe Austin) and they seem like the worst provider nationally anyways.
I'm curious what they'd do to someone that's DLing a lot of demos and DLC from PSN and XBL. Sometimes, that could be 20-30GB/month.
Depends on what's considered *excessive* usage -- I'd wager that on most networks, average monthly traffic ranges from a few GB to 25/30 GB like you say. I'd say the people they're probably eyeballing for glomping all the bandwidth would be the 40+GB users, especially those in the 80+ or more category.

I'm sure if they see BT traffic, they'll perk up more than they would for XBL or PSN traffic, or web traffic.

Though, my ISP, AT&T, might be eyeballing every packet that goes through their network:
Don't worry, Q*Bert won't cost you much. ;)
My wife has been asking me if Q*Bert has been available for DL from XBL for a while, and I ended up finding it on PSN last month. So sue me if I decide to play some Q*Bert.

Not like I had COD4 for The Triple, so I knew I wasn't going to interrupt your ninja ways. ;)
Damn, I've played already for like 10 hours and I haven't even done shit yet.

Any tips on how to get money quick? I only have, like, $10K.
It takes a very very very long time to earn money. There is this one trick I figured out, but you can't use it until you get a certain vehicle added to your garage. When You get that huge armored car thing with the brush guard on the front, if you just keep blowing that up, it spills tons of money out of the back of it. I made a shitload doing that.
There's nothing wrong with Qbert!

Piss off, dallowchan.
I think he was surprised that my PS3 wasn't Folding. Since it's doing that 24x7.

I was more surprised that Dallow was online, and doing something other than rubbing his S2000 lovingly with a diaper while complaining about the price of his insurance.

I owned it on NES, I knows it.

This.

And I was actually rubbing it with a diaper.
They make car towels from cloth diapers now.

Colecovision Qbert or nothing, foo.
I don't get folding, I know it's for a good cause, but at the same time, shouldn't we be conserving energy?
We can always engineer a new way to obtain energy, and have many methods at our disposal.

However we have no cure for cancer.

I'd say that outweighs the fact that you need 300 gerbils running in wheels to power the ManaKnightConsole.
Colecovision Qbert or nothing, foo.
I had both.

Well, the Coleco was my uncle's.

Sigh, I miss those days.
