Just wondering senor, was gonna hook yas up with some pts to ease your pain. :p
Well in that situation he'd be the one to move out. You obviously wouldn't move out from your dad's place and leave him there.

I think you just have to tell him that it's not working out and you'd like him to move out as soon as he can. If you want, you could say your dad is pissed about the way the place is being kept up and that's the reason he has to go.

I'm glad I've never had to deal with something like that.
Forreal, I hope I never have a deadbeat roommate. ^__^
TFN - No sir, I don't. I've been thinking about it, but I doubt that I'd be able to afford it right now. Why do you ask?

The problem with saying that my dad is pissed is that my dad lives in Ohio and won't be coming here until mid-October. Can I put up with this shit for that long? We shall see.
Well you could still use your dad as the bad guy by telling him your dad has been asking if you guys keep the place in good condition and you don't want to lie to him. However, the guy probably isn't really doing anything that would actually hurt the house itself, it's just that you don't want to live with a slob. Or maybe he is so bad that the house is suffering? Either way though, you probably need to just man up and ask him to move out.

I'd say give him until the end of November if he asks for a time frame. Nearly 2 months is good notice. But ask him to try to find something by Oct 1 if he can swing it. The problem will be if he just sits on his ass and counts on you being a cool guy and not kicking him out. And it's also probably tricky to actually kick him out. Not sure what sort of tenant's rights and things would apply if he's not on an official lease. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Thanks for the advice. The house is kind of suffering in a way that it's starting to smell a little and it could start to depreciate aesthetically in a way. The two months notice a good idea. I think he'd be able to move back home since his mom was pissed that he didn't have a job for over a year, but now he does so I feel like her anger has passed. Also, if he really wanted, he could probably live at his dad's house. It is kinda hard for me to just kick him out, but it's not worth paying $400 a month to be unhappy where I live when I could live for free at my grandparents'.

Thoughts?

This looks to be the most likely candidate. I figure going from 26" to 32" is worth $550, as well as gaining access to HDMI.

There is a Sharp, who I do trust, but it's another $200. And supposedly has lower contrast ratio than this one.

Also, I hate CC. Is their warranty plan a gaynigga?

That seems decent. This is what I have and I'm digging it ...

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/Search.do?c=1&context=&keyword=vx32l&searchSection=All

Plus it has an extra hdmi input compared to Olevia. And thats a big plus for me. (using 1 for cable box and the other one for ps3)

EDIT: And keep in mind there are usually 10% off coupons floating around which are good on tvs at CC. You may still be able to the AAA coupon trick .. which is what I used for my purchase.

I done heard good things about those TVs Strellypants.

But.. you hear bad things as well. I'm not sure about CC's warranty plan being a gaynigguh... but for 569.99 I'm pretty sure that TV is worth the price.

Scratch all that ^^

Go with the Vizio, Strell!

Vizio TVs FTW.. (even though I own a Samsung).. at my old job, I'd always do floor layouts and shit on it and the TV was so crisp and clear.

Well I don't have any HDMI things right now. The only one that would soon would be a 360, and that won't be for a while. So I think one is fine for now.

Btw, your link doesn't pull anything up.

Edit: Aye Mak, there's a 10% floatin' around right now. I figure that's as good as a price as I'll get barring BF, which I am NOT going to mess with, from fear of ball-hurt.

Be there a Vizio? Is that what Mak's link is supposed to be?

Edit 2: I think I found what Mak was talking about. A 32" Vizio.

And if you cant manage to find a 10% off coupon, you can always find a $15 off or better coupon at the cc thread in here:

You'd love that TV Strell, the only problem is that the TV speakers are SO bad. (true for most TV speakers, but these are even worse)
Best to use external speakers.

The Vizio's PQ is comparible, but I can't tell what Mak linked to, but if it's smaller than 32" like the Olevia, go with the Olevia.

Hmm, just saw Mak's link.

I don't know. Go see them both for yourself, check out the menus, and see what you like more.

Both are good choices.
(extra HDMI port is NOICE though)

Hmmm.

Basically, Vizio = another HDMI + another composite input (which I doubt I'd ever use, but still).

Olevia = better contrast (1600:1 vs 1200:1) + 30 bucks cheaper.

But dallow says the Olevia has crappy speakers (something that could always be remedied by external speakers).

Hmmm!

I wouldn't trust that contrast ratio for either of them. You won't notice a difference.

I'm gonna go with Vizio on this one. Like the Freeze menu option it has.
Gotta try em out instore.

Aye, I figure the contrast ratios are suspect at best.

I think I'mma go there at lunch, look at both, make a decision, order it online when I get back to work, and pick it up afterward.

Woohoo!

SUPER WIDESCREEN AHOY

Olevias are very good Tvs. I bought a 37" LCD (no tuner built-in but i have digital cable) off of Frys.com for like 585 with tax. But you cant go wrong with either IMO

Strell, VIZIO confirmed.

Extra HDMI + Composite

PLUS, Optical output for DD5.1 if you have a receiver, or ever get one.

The Olevia only has RCA out.

That is the only thing I really hate about my Olevia, they don't include Optical out on any of their TVs (except maybe the newest high end ones...)

WTF????

I know people are tired of hearing my Reward Zone blues, but this is just getting fucked up.

I changed my email address yesterday, like they suggested. I even logged on later in the day with my new email address, and it logged me in with no problems.

I tried to log in just now, and it wouldn't let me, saying my login was invalid. I tried my original email address (the one that they said didn't work) and lo and behold - I can log in again!

Mother fuckers changed my email address back!

Of course, I did send a copy of my letter to them via email, so they were probably f'ing around with it. And I used the same email address they said they couldn't send stuff to me at - and I received the auto-reply message without a problem. :bomb:
Hey guys..

Its Kaydens birthday today..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYDEN!
Can I have some XBL points for my bday? =D
I wish I hadn't slept last night to get more points.
You get points by sleeping? And why are you said about that? I'd be pumped about getting points for sleeping.

I meant Microsoft points in the SmarterChild thread, but you knew that.
Also, if you took what I said earlier and interpreted it like that, it's should of been I get points for not sleeping.
Sheesh.

Ah, second letter of complaint sent to Best Buy, CC'd the MichiganAttorney General office and will be contacting the MN BBB later.

For now, I think I'm going to take a nap before my doctor's appointment - was up too late raping getting MS Points from SmarterChild.
