The Password to GGT 139

How much is Red Box a night? Family Video is $2 for one night, $4 for two nights, $7.50 for 5 days. I usually just get games for 2 days and blast through them quickly.
Still don't understand the UMVC3 hatred, but I don't think I ever will.

You guys can say it's because I love the series, I'll say it is because I don't see what the difference between MvC3 sitting on your shelf and never playing it is, versus the opportunity to play a fresh take on the game.

I just don't see why the fact that it exists enrages people, it's like you've conditioned yourself to be so angry and think that a game isn't relevant anymore, but none of you played in tournaments or took the game seriously anyway, so you should still be able to get the same level of enjoyment out of vanilla MvC3.

It's not like Capcom is coming to your home at night and stealing your copy of MvC3. Don't buy Ultimate, continue to play vanilla if you choose. Problem solved.
I think it just seems like a money grab to a lot of people with regards to Capcom's past of rehashing fighters over and over again. Same deal with DR2.

I think the people who really love the franchise in question (madden for some, MvC for you, Halo for me) love a chance to get an updated version of something just because the little tweaks mean alot to the 'hardcore' (I don't know if that's the right term) players of a given franchise.
If Madden is, then yes.
There's no Super Bowl Edition of Madden with new teams and special uniforms that's released in February, as that's more of a 2K thing. Plus, they're in a genre where the source material naturally refreshes every year.

Nothing about fighting games requires a re-release every year or less and Capcom's expert mastery of DLC should make all of the new stuff available for everybody rather than splintering off the community.
