She has a deaf aunt, that is how she started.
Since we met at a university that has a lot of deaf coursework, she was in the deaf culture and went to the parties and stuff. The stories she told me...

I think signing is really cool, but I don't have the head for it. For some reason, nothing stays in my memory.

I'd also like to learn German once I hit college, along with continuing with ASL. I'd also be interested in Japanese, but that shit looks mad confusing.

I want to take some kind of language that isn't French, in addition to continuing ASL.

I don't even know you and I love you now. But seriously, that female bit and not being an insensitive asshole, I think those add up to my troubles. Too many guys in the workplace I want to approve of me, and yet most of them really couldn't give a damn, I think.

I probably need to stop being so sensitive though. A beer tonight could do me wonders.

Does anyone else have someone or a group at work you talk sex stuff with? I'm a 24 year old girl, yet I've got this weird bond with this 44-ish guy at work (who's quite, quite good-looking actually -- and he knows this).

Today we actually started talking about how long he can perform before achieving orgasm, and I shared things relating to my own sexual experience.

Is this normal in you folks' workplaces? This guy I'm talking to is really my superior, and I like the bond we have, even if it's probably not appropriate.

Well, the secret is to not let others define you or how you feel about yourself. Unless you work on a porn set, don't worry if the guys approve of you or not.

Now, when you mean approve, do you mean your job performance or as a woman? If it is the latter, don't even worry about it - it's work. It's best to not even let that get in the way.

Of course, there is also the old saying that if you act like you don't care, the opposite sex with suddenly take notice of you. Trust me, there is some truth to that...

Yeah, believe me, I would let things go anywhere he wanted, but considering he's my lead (not quite my boss, but it sounds like he could be soon), I should make sure I keep my distance there. Talking sex is good fun and all, but my job is more important.
