I have to give a speech on a charity and I heard about this child's play charity where they donate games to children's hospitals.. Does this still exist? All the information I find about it is old. Any help would be appreciated.

It's an annual thing. They do it around Thanksgivingish time with the idea that it is for Christmas. I think it's great that they decided not to rest on the laurels of their 'fame' and decided to use it for something, but still managed to not be overbearing and obtrusive.

Did you contact the Penny Arcade folks or better yet, post on their forums? I believe it was done around Christmas time usually, so that's why it's old. Even on my days off, I'm still a librarian helping kids with their homework assignments. :)

Here's their site.

You can find articles written about Child's Play on the Press Page.

You can post on their forum, but you may get mixed results, given the nature of their forums.

I would contact them directly.
