From the Back Cover
In the city of Townsville, the frustrated Professor Utonium is gathering all the ingredients to make a perfect little girl (sugar, spice, and everything nice). But when his lab assistant, a monkey named Jojo, causes the accidental addition of Chemical X to the mix, the Professor ends up with not one but 3 perfect, powerful little girls. It soon becomes obvious that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are not normal girls, they have superpowers and have not yet learned to control. The girls are treated like outcasts because they have inadvertently wrecked Townsville in a superpowered game of tag. To win the hearts of the people of Townsville, the girls are tricked into making a deal with Jojo who plans to take over Townsville. As the girls foil this threat and defeat an army of superpowered monkeys, the Powerpuff Girls learn that with great power comes great responsibility. Set includes all 78 episodes plus the holiday special and fans' favorite extras on six discs, plus a custom panoramic poster designed by series creator Craig McCracken.

I didn't even know this was coming out...I own season 1 and I was expecting to buy other seasons as well but now I'm going to have to sell my season one and just get the entire series in one go.
Hmm, I actually watched it, and I wasn't aware that was a new episode. I just figured I didn't remember it. I think I'm going to wait for a price drop on this before I buy it, though.
The new episode was called Powerpuff Girls Rule, so even if you recorded the others or set your DVR, it would have missed it. The shows re-aired on Monday were annoying since they were shown on the HD CN and still weren't cleaned up at all (unless they were a later computer made episode). The hand drawn ones were not clean at all.

The show runs on BOOMERANG during the evening action block.

I'll eventually watch PPG Rule and put it on DVD. I'm glad my OCD has allowed me to have complete runs of shows like Courage, PPG, Filmore, almost all of Evil Con Carne, etc. Especially now that the new CN management doesn't seem to want to air the series.

Lol I remember this show! My brother used to call me gay whenever I watched it but w/e I was 8 and I thought it was entertaining

Also, it's spelled with three "e"s, nub.
Wow, a senior member on an online forum called me a noob. Now I'm going to log-off and go crying to my mom about the guy online who was mean to me. Oh, and he used a funny picture to illustrate it too. That really added insult to injury.
Uh, I'm not debating with you. I don't know what gave you the idea that this was up for debate. I think that Spongebob Squarepants sucks dick and is unfunny mindpoison.
That statement would be true if you replaced SpongeBob Squarepants with Family Guy, South Park or both.
That statement would be true if you replaced SpongeBob Squarepants with Family Guy, South Park or both.
The statement is true in it's present form, but indeed, replacing "Spongebob Squarepants" with those other names would also be true, because they both also completely suck dick beyond measure.

The only good cartoons in the world are Superjail and Squidbillies.

You suck if you disagree. Spongebob is stupid and so are people who like it.

I saw the new Powerpuff Girls episode. The plot was there was a key where whoever possesses it rules the world, and it was being sent to Townsville, and the episode became a free-for-all between all the villains and the PPG trying to get the key for themselves.

It was a good episode. I guess working on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends after PPG helped Craig McCracken stay fresh because it was a quality episode

And... scene. You. Lose.

LOL. Redneck's can operate a computer (I can only assume that since thats what Squidbillies targets for an audience). Though I do have to admit Superjail could be incredibly funny if they worked on writing actually funny scripts and not just pure random violence (which is good, but would be better with some substance behind it).

But ya you are teh fail. Not even any of the big 4? (Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, King of the Hill)

Shut up. The label doesn't apply to me, but I imagine that you have a "redneck" level of intellect, seeing as how you put a fucking apostrophe in a word that you were trying to pluralize, and failed to put one where you were trying to contract "that is."

Squidbillies is made of win because it has Unknown Hinson. Superjail, regardless of how funny anyone thinks is it, is awesome because it has the best animation of any American cartoon in the past decade or so. Only morons raised on shitty animation like the latter-day Nicktoons and recent Cartoon Network garbage would fail to understand how incredible the pure animation quality on Superjail is.

But ya you are teh fail.
No, you are, because you even like crap like Megas XLR.

Not even any of the big 4? (Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, King of the Hill)
Family Guy is the stupidest shit ever. Talk about resorting to randomness instead of developing funny scripts, yeesh. I can't stand South Park's preachiness anymore, and it hasn't done anything innovative in years. The Simpsons hasn't been good in a decade or so, and is really stale. King of the Hill was great, and had wonderfully developed characters, but it's cancelled, so I didn't mention it.

Sorry I don't have the best grammar in the world. I don't think i've heard of a non-southern person who enjoys squidbillies though, and i've actually posted on the horrors that is known as the Adult Swim Boards (filled with numerous idiots)

I do have to agree with your Superjail comment though. It's hard to believe that it's actually flash animation compared to the sludge that has come out as of late (See recent Canadian imports on CN). Though I think Drinky Crow does a better job at what Superjail is, a show with a bunch of random violence (since Drinky Crow usually has an interesting plot, and decent CGI Animation compared to Lucy Daughter of the Devil/Xavier: Renegade Angel)

Have you ever seen Megas XLR? I've actually given Superjail and Squidbillies a chance (watching a full season of each) before determining that they were not funny at all.

I think KOTH is technicly running for another year, since I think they were a season behind like The Simpsons has been and Family Guy/American Dad will be. I just found it interesting that you only liked 2 of the more obscure Adult Swim shows and not any of the more well known shows.
Thanks for the heads-up OP!

My daughter wants this for her birthday... Are you guys buying this for yourselves? LOL
Yes...why? :D

That's fine, because all non-Southern people are scum. fucking yankee garbage.

Tallahassee, FL isn't exactly the definition of a redneck town. It ain't New York, but it ain't Wakulla, either.

I probably watched the first six episodes back in like 2004 or something. I hated it.

That's because most of the Adult Swim lineup is garbage. Sorry that I don't like the same mainstream shit as everyone else. And no, I'm not trying to sound like an "alternative" $$$, because it's not exactly like Superjail is "underground" or anything, but it's not huge like ATHF and all that crap.

Wow, look what I started. Should've just let him be superior to us in every way. Has anyone watched any AS shows while they were awake? I don't stay up until like 4AM, and as such I haven't seen some of its lineup, but shows like ATHF don't make sense to me. Same applies to Family Guy etc.

edit: I wasn't implying that CE liked the adult swim lineup.

Ya my first comment was a little excessive, sorry for that. Should've re worded that..

alright that's enough then I guess to come up with an opinion

I agree with that. How Tim and Eric have fans is beyond me. Not to mention Robot Chicken has really dipped in quality as of late.

By the way, I do have one last comment...
LOL. Redneck's can operate a computer (I can only assume that since thats what Squidbillies targets for an audience).
Squidbillies is about as much targeted at actual rednecks/hillbillies (there is a difference, btw) for it's audience, as The Boondocks is targeted at actual black people: in other words, hardly at all.

if you don't like Venture Bros. or Aqua Teen Hunger Force... I don't know what to tell ya...

Though I admit ATHF is a bit "out there" there's enough one-liners to keep me laughing all show.

Even the movie, which isn't great for the whole thing, has about 40 mins worth of classic material

OK, so they obviously try to save some space by putting it all on DVD-18 discs. Why in god's name then did they put them in six full size dvd cases??? This screamed to be put in thinpaks like every single other show comes nowadays yet for some bizarre reason they go against the grain and use full size cases. Why does this bother me? Like every other person out there, DVD shelf space is always a premium and this PPG 10th Anniv set takes up twice as much space as it should.

Of course my other big gripe is that they still used composite transfers to make the DVDs (just like the previous PPG TV disc releases) so there is all sorts of dot-crawl and whatnot actually encoded into the video. -_- Still, having all PPG is better than no PPG, am I right?

About the only current CN/AS cartoon I like is Venture Brothers, and though I loved S1/S2, I haven't gotten into S3. Cancelled cable about four months back as well, so I probably won't get into it unless I watch it online.
I'll probably either get it from Buy.com or Bestbuy; I have a 50$ gift card for Buy.com, and a 10$ RZ cert for Best Buy.

Dropped to $29.99 on Amazon! Ordered a copy finally. Been waiting for a price drop that never came....

At the moment it's OOS, but will ship within a week or so. I can wait a bit longer.

You know, I never got into this series -- I do recall catching a few on CN and thinking it was one of those deliberately low-budget designed shows with uncharacteristically witty and strange writing. I thought it was funny at times and also quite dark.

Not sure I'm ready to drop 30 bones on this ... it seems a bit much ...
Bought last year from Big lots for $3... Flipped it to pay for my other $3 DVDs from that sale. My God that was the BEST. SALE. EVER.
Shit dude! I got mine for $20 with some weird DeepDiscount offer, and didn't think that price was going to be beat.

For anyone that loves this show this set is a must. It is jam packed with goodies. I can't say I would recommend this as a blind-buy though. Buying the whole set is overboard for someone not familiar with the show.

It was when BL got the shipments of WB DVD's that they had illegally obtained from the company that was supposed to destroy them... Scooby Doo, Superfriends, the Batman and Superman CN animated series (both in one plastic wrap), Flintstones, Wacky races, the lists goes on and on... $3 a set. I bought shit tons of DVDs those couple of weeks :D

BL didn't illegally obtain them, they were essentially duped by that distributor. I went to so many different BLs looking for that powerpuff girls set for my little girl.
