ooooh!

for those of you that cant see it i'm sure moogle star can make it more noticeable :)

You should explain it because it doesn't tell me anything other than this thing is called Lumine. I have no idea what you're getting at.

I thought you were going to have something good.

I have no idea where Lumines came from, but Meteos was inspired by the Fox show '24'.

We all know that developer probably made some elaborate, creative, and thoughtful explination of how he came up with the name, but now we all know better! The bastard was probably just riding the train and he just pluraized the name of a Department Store!!!

Lumines is a homonym for Luminous. For the more astute gamers, you would have noticed that there's a ton of light imagery in the game.

Pretty obvious.

It's not luminous, but luminescent. notice the lumines contained within. and yes, it does have to do with the bright lights and such.

I have been told to pronounce it "loo men ess" ("men" as in the actual word, "men").

M record so far is 550,000ish points at level 137.

well, it seems that luminescent, referring to thepretty lights in the game, would be the closest word to derive lumines from. it even has the same spelling, and pronunciation. (loo-min-ess)
