Speculation is that CC may be getting in more games from their warehouses, so don't give up. I personally know of 2 CC's that have the games pulled until the sale officially starts, so once again...don't give up! And ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to tip your listkeeper! *cough*Ikaruga*cough*

Went to the Tacoma, WA CC today, and the sale's girl said that the selection was pretty much picked clean.

Nothing but sports titles. Only thing decent was Dead to Righrts

I tried RE: Zero on either Sunday or Monday and it didn't ring up as 4.99 ... Oh well.

I tried and failed... trust me I was really excited when I saw this on the self but it's a definate no go... which sucks cause my FYE doesn't have it and they're supposed to be selling it for 9.99 (which is still a great deal).
 
Went to the same one today I went to on Saturday... and admittedly there wasn't much on Saturday, there didn't seem to be much missing.. Picked up WM XIX and Fifa 2004 for the Gamecube.
 
I wish I could get Silent Hill 3 and have a 4.99 sticker on it... :(

I also hear it comes with a soundtrack? If so, fantastic, the music in that game is awesome! I just hope, that if, one day, it makes it on the GH line, that it keeps the soundtrack intact...

Hey, I'm in College Station, too. I went by CC this past Sunday. I picked up Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (XBOX), NFL Blitz 2003 (XBOX) and Super Monkey Ball, Jr. (GBA)

When I went in on Sunday I mentioned something to the guy who checked me out and he hadn't even heard of the sale that was going on. I'm going to show up on Sunday again at 11am with my fiancé because we're looking for a couple games that his brother wants (he's from San Marcos and they don't have a CC there).

If anything, you would think the PH version would be $5 as it doesn't contain the expansion material. The GOTY version is definitely a more attractive bundle. As to why it's YMMV... dunno. My brother tried getting Commandos 2 which is listed here, but for him, it rang up $19.99 - another YMMV. I wonder if perhaps the pricing is based on sales in any sort of way? If location X sells a lot of M:GOTYs, then perhaps it isn't marked down? A stretch, but I see no logic to why it differs depending on location.[/quote]

ok, here's the deal with Morrowind and Commandos. I'm not saying you guys in particular but people are getting confused about Morrowind. It doesnt matter if its PH or NON-PH b/c neither of those versions is on sale. It's the game of the year edition with extra content. ex:

It's easy to get them confused and it doesnt make sense why one is on sale and the other isnt as was said before.

And Commandos is a Circuit City Value Game. Circuit City Value Games get new UPC symbol stickers placed over the old one and a red value sticker on the front. The Price sticker on the front will say "Commandos 2 Value Program 19.99" or something like that. The key is to find an old version with no UPC sticker on the back, no red value sticker, and have the price sticker say plain old "Commandos 2". I tried this with Metropolismania at my CC. Two "Value copies" ran up 19.99, the regular one 4.99. Damn, this is a long post. My CC has regular and Value Stuntmans too but I haven't scanned those yet.
 
I'm just amazed that there's already three copies of Morrowind out on ONE CONSOLE! :shock:

I plan on going back to CC for one last time on Sunday, maybe: though I doubt I'll find Mega Man: NT, Chu Chu Rocket, or Bloodrayne. Doesn't hurt to look though, I guess.

Sega128DC,

I ended up picking up Spyhunter & Spyhunter 2, but decided to send them back to CC, figuring that if I didn't want them, someone else would. I'd rather have done that than be an asshat and use them for trade-in fodder.

Both of them scanned as $4.99 when I originally bought them, though I guess it's YMMV for Spyhunter. I know I've seen other people say that they found Spyhunter for $4.99, so I thought it was just missing from the list.

Does anyone else get an overwhelming euphoric feeling when they pull into Circuit City's parking lot? I went to three yesterday and each time I pull in the parking lot I want to jump out of the car and run to the door.
 
I went this past sunday and picked up NFL Blitz Pro, Gladius and A v. P: Extinction. Needless to say the stock was limited, hopefully more this weekend because M v. C 2 is wat i really want. Anyway, the games were labeled the normal 30, 40, 50 dollar prices so i asked the clerk to check the prices. He said that the prices were on the box, so i replied i think they may be different so can you check them anyway...felt good when they rang up 5 bucks and he was confused like a little idiot
 
They were losing their minds on trying to figure it out. They scanned the UPC on the back of the package, as well as their CC sticker, plus they tried by title. Nothing came up at all, and were pretty much clueless on what to do. They scanned two of one title I bought for the $4.99, though as it's not on the receipt, I'm sure I'm stuck with it. That one for $4.99 won't be a real issue with me.

Funny thing is someone said they tried to pick up Mojo! for $4.99 and it scanned as $19.99. When I checked when I bought it yesterday, it came up $4.99. Anything that I know to be $4.99, I'm making sure they scan it and watch it come up $4.99.

I think SSX Tricky and Tony Hawk 3 are incorrectly listed under GBA--either way, I reported on Sunday that those were included for the *Gamecube.* Don't know about other systems.

large updates made to the list. I just added 3 pages of the scanned list. I haven't added any games people have asked me to since about page 16 of the thread since I'm trying to focus on the scanned list. I've still got 4 pages left on it.
 
Yesssss. My dad went to CC today and the sale wasnt happening. it works for me cause i couldnt make it this week. They said theres starts Sunday. Im gonna get IBS or somethin for that long wait. Anyone know when CC opens?
 
I think I've been to just about every CC in the St. Louis area, save one, some I've hit more than once, though pretty much every day since Sunday. Some things I've seen when I've been to all of these stores:

1) Not all CC's have the same story on what's going on for where the games are. Two of them have pulled their stock into a cardboard bin saying "$4.99 Value Games", while a couple others haven't (though they may have by now). I've found $4.99 games on the shelf, in the "$4.99 Value Games" bin, as well as their normal "dump" bin for their $19.99 and less games.

2) Not all CC's have the same story on restocking for this Sunday. One CC rep at one store I went to said he receieved an email about restocking tomorrow for the Sunday sale, while other stores have said that they're not getting any additional stock for Sunday and what's there is it. Only showing up on Sunday will know for sure.

3) All of the stores seem to have an unwritten "1 copy of a title per person" policy for these games. One asshat that went to one store bought $2700 (heard it was $2200, but he may have been htting it again) worth of games, and was listed as being a reseller. From what I heard, they didn't have that policy until this jackass went in and screwed it up for the rest of us. There wasn't anything listed in any of the stores I've seen, though I know I've heard the "1 per person" situation in multiple stores I've gone to.

4) CC did get a list on the 6th, for what games to pull. People have seen this list, in scanned form, and I can say I saw it in person on the 6th, when they were trying to pull games for the $4.99 sale, and it looks like the same list that was posted.

5) Not all stores are holding back the games for the sale on Sunday. The two stores I went to that had the "$4.99 Value Games" bin knew about it before, though I guess they didn't get anything from CC corp on what to do with them until the 6th. The first one I went to on the 4th were going through and pulling games, though they were just doing it to price-verify it, from what I remember the rep telling me.

6) The "we can't sell it until Sunday if it's $4.99" or "if it's in a $4.99, it's wrong", or other such BS is just that, BS. I've gone to multiple stores over each day since Sunday, and I've had the CC reps scan each and every game I was looking at, and any of them that came up as $4.99, I put into my basket and bought. They didn't say anything about it not being sellable, not being a pricing mistake or anything like that. No bitching, no complaining, no jackass customer behavior, and in all cases, I bought one copy that I'm not going to mass-trade for credit somewhere else, I'm going to play it myself.

7) Be wary of the price matching policy for CC. At least one CC rep I spoke with said that if you get a $4.99 game before it goes on "sale" and it's regular price, you may not be able to price-match it down, due to it being a "clearance" price. Their price match policy on the wall doesn't mention anything like that in the text of it, though be careful on it and YMMV.
 
I went to 4 stores this afternoon in OH, all 4 had 4.99 bins out. Each employee I talked to said that they were told to put the games out now because the information had leaked out onto the internet. Once store had a decent selection. IE not all sports. The other 3 pretty much had all sports. I had been to all of these stores over the weekend and got a lot of stuff that I didn't see out.

Here's where it gets kind of wierd. All were told to put out their stock, yet only one store had decent stock. At one of the other stores I went to buy Burnout (PS2) which I had already bought over the weekend. I was going to pick it up for a friend. I also picked up V-Rally. Those two were in the bin. However, they both rang up as 19.99. I explained that I had found them in the bin and the lady said that the bin was just 4.99 and up.

Then at another store with only sports games out, I found a copy of Frequency on the shelf. It to rang up 29.99 not 4.99 and I know that was on the list. All of these games had UPC symbols stickered over the game's. None of the employee's would peel it off to scan the original bar code.

This makes me wonder about two things.
1) They may sell those games on Sunday
2) Those games and maybe many others that we already got, should have never been part of the sale? Do you think someone just set a bunch of prices to 4.99 in the computer when they shouldn't have?

The girl that worked there told me that the sale is just to get "rid" of whatever each store has "in the back". In other words. There will be no more shipments of $4.99 games. The individual stores have to clean out stock. Not the warehouses or suppliers.

thanks for the explanation evophile! i was so confused about morrowind b/c i just scanned the ph edition and it was still full price.

rabidmusket, is there anyway for you to just add the newly listed games under the original list. it's kinda hard to see what you've added. i think it'll be easier for you as well b/c you won't have to integrate it and alphabetize the giant list everytime you add a list or two. that's the way it's done on dealrush so that you won't get confused. thanks!

The list says that the Player's Choice version of Pikmin is not on sale. I bought it for $4.99 on Tuesday. I have been to several CC stores in the past few days and I've seen a decent number of them so there may still be some in stock if you hurry.

Don't ask me to account for why some people have not been able to get it at $4.99. I don't know. All I know is that I got the Player's Choice version for $4.99.

Did it have a Player's Choice sticker or a yellow stripe? Sticker means it is non-PC. If it has the stripe that is the officially player's choice version.

If there is a 4.99 sticker on it do they have to honor that price. I remember a post a while back where someone told the person it was in the clearance bin and they changed the price. You could easily peel off some 4.99 stickers and put them on other games. What is there policy as far as the marked price compared to the system?
