Speculation is that CC may be getting in more games from their warehouses, so don't give up. I personally know of 2 CC's that have the games pulled until the sale officially starts, so once again...don't give up! And ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to tip your listkeeper! *cough*Ikaruga*cough*

Mine said they get shipments on Wed and Sat. Today they got in some new games, but none of the good ones. Or they never made it out of the backroom anyway. I got a few though. I have quite a few. And if anyone has VIEWTIFUL JOE, I will trade you, or buy it from you.
 
Thank you a ton, I was so dissapointed. But what if it doesnt ring up as 5 bucks but insteid the acutal price? Can I give it back? I dont have 20 bucks to my name, I have 10.

not heavily sought after games, but good enough to pick up for $4.99 each
 
Status report:

I called all 4 local CCs to see what they had to say about the selection they will have tomorrow.

2 said, we already have had our games out in a bin, and were not expecting to put out anymore.
1 said, we should be getting another shipment in monday, and will put them out as soon as we get them
1 said, we have a bin out, but will be adding more in the morning

So maybe the hunt doesn't end tomorrow...

PS. Please please please find me a copy of DOA Beach Volleyball and/or Panzer Dragoon Orta.... I will kill for those...

The CC I went to yesterday did. Every $5 game was marked $5, even the ones on the shelves.
 
Yes, why the hell isn't RE 0 making it on the $4.99 list? One of the CC I go to alot has 15 freakin' copies and they've been that way since January. Hell, the best part is that these are the original shipments (probably from a year ago) and they don't have the ugly "Player's Choice" yellow stamp yet.

And yes, I'm from the cities, but I don't like city people...they congregate in the hall ways and make faces like this :evil: when you look at them. Then I make this face :roll: and walk away as the better man. Then when they serve my kids fries on our way to a weekend camp in 10 years, I'll be doing this to them :lol: . Because I don't like city people who are stupid.
 
Absolutely nothing of worth at the Tallahasse CC as of 8:41 this evening. I might still go in the morning. Just to be sure. Good luck to everyone who has a store that is supposedly holding the games.
 
i really get the feeling that was is gone is gone. I think i will not waste my time at cc b/c the ones around me are depleted. i think i might have a better chance pricematching with my list of games at bb and tru

Heh, This is a great deal... but I don't think anything (excluding Rez/Disgaea) is worth camping out for... and a further reason not to is the 3 game limit.

Not bad, but no Secret Weapons or Disgaea (not as if I expected to, just really want them.) If anyone happens to find an extra copy of these games tomorrow and is willing to part with it, PM me.
 
Well, not literally camp. I mean like rush there at opening kind of camp, not sleep outside camp. =)

And some of those games are ones I've been looking for for a long time... or at least, I wanted them but I wasn't willing to pay the higher price for it. =)

This is the first I've heard about a 3 game limit too... what about the people who have bought like 50 games? I don't think there's a limit at every store.
 
There was no 3 game limit when I bought 15 of them yesturday, when they were finally told to stock the bins. I'm going tomorrow just to see if they held anything back, but that would be almost smart and we all know CC isn't.

Which two? When I went last Sunday the CC on 410 near Bandera not only had $5 games on the shelves, they had full price games in the bin. I'm hoping that the CC next to North Star Mall has some Sunday, as I showed up there rather early Sunday morning and entire rows of games were pulled from shelves nowhere to be seen. I went to the one on San Pedro & 410 and the one on I-35 N (Near Windsor Park Mall). At the Windsor location I managed to pick up 4 games last weekend, all of which I somewhat wanted. I also picked up the GH Devil May Cry at the Bandera store last weekend for 5 bucks.

I'm hoping the store personnel were just ignorant at both San Pedro and Windsor locations... but both stores seem to believe the sale was ongoing. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up a flyer with the information so I can go out and try to pricematch.

Same here, however, I also found a copy of Activision Anthology that had the same kind of Value Game sticker. When I talked to the guy at the store, he said that he had received permission (when he asked about it) to price match those games that SHOULD be $4.99 down. Long story short, I got Monkey Island for $5 today. This will probably be VERY YMMV though.[/i]
 
I don't have m uch hope for the CC B&M. But I have my fingers croissed that for five minutes sometime Sunday morning there will be some sweet ass deals on the CC website. They already did it once last Sunday!

Went there today 7/10 around noon, nuthin of value there.
Theres like 3 games left in the bin, and I didnt find any 4.99 games on the shelves.
 
I have a plan, if I find a game on the offical circuit city list (the image one), I will talk to som1 and say, Hey! This is supposed to be 4.99! I will find a game on my text list, then ask them to check the price, If it is 4.99, I will buy it, if its not, I will put it back. My friend shall do the same. And I am still hopin that they might re-stock.

My CC actually had a bunch of them. They weren't in the $4.99 bin but they had a few on the main shelves. Frigging awesome deal. Oh, and for the record EBgames gives $7 trade-in credit for that one (I'm keeping mine though).

I also got Wrestlemania 19, which was on the main list. Oddly enough, Wrestlemania 18 still rings up as $20.
 
Whats the point in having this sale if CC allows the workers to hoard all the games themself? The customers are not going to be very happy we they see that there is nothing but horse shit left.

I hate those red shirt bastards that work there. As soon as you walk in the door they are all standing around in their circle jerk, looking you down, like you are not supposed to be in their hood.

Then when you try to ask something they either run in the back when they see you coming, stand there and act stupid, or piss and moan. Like its real hard work, you lazy slackers.

Another thing i hate about CC, its like pulling teeth to get them to price match something. They would call best buy to see if they had any copies left, and if they did not they would not price match. What douche bags.

Now when i show up in the morning you idiot ebay scalpers better not be hoarding all the certain trendy japanese games. Or i'll be waiting for you in the parking lot and mug your mofo azz!

Just stay away from CC you fat bastards and stick to your hot wheels scalping at Walmart and TRU.
 
Man i bet my chances of only finding crappy games are all to good. Well anyone know if CC had Time Splitters 2 for the GC for 20 bucks before the sale? Or there is that Toys are us a few miles away from CC.

Stores get a certian stock of items in before sales (usually) or pull what they have off the floor in advance of a sale, so that they are sure to have SOMETHING in stock once the sale begins. You'll notice a lot of ads have fine print that says "minimum (insert quantity here) per store" next to the item. In this case it's a widespread clearance, and once avaliable copies are gone... that's it...

So I see no legal reason why they couldn't hold everything. The exception might be if you ASK specifically if they have a specific item in stock, they do, and they refuse to sell it to you, but since it's not on the floor for sale I'm not even sure that holds water.

They had ar4ound forty different games pop up last Sunday early in the morning. Gladius, SWoN, DoA3, and much more for all systems.

Most sold out in minutes but a couple hanged around until noon.
