CAGiversary!
This got buried in the sticky/merge so I thought it should be reposted so people can actually find the list. This was originally posted by RavenHawk so he deserves the credit.

Thanks to Drakken for the recent update.

Many thanks to CrashSpyro123 for bringing this to our attention!

Thanks goes out to trustcompany1013 also for mentioning this in his thread...guess the sale started a little earlier than expected!

Speculation is that CC may be getting in more games from their warehouses, so don't give up. I personally know of 2 CC's that have the games pulled until the sale officially starts, so once again...don't give up! And ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to tip your listkeeper! *cough*Ikaruga*cough*
Went to the Lakewood and Los Altos Center CCs

There were like 30+ people waiting outside and some of them were pretty vicious as we made our way to the games section. I remember a guy bumping into a chick in front of him, said "sorry" moved on and then I hear her boyfriend shout at 'im "YOU TOUCH MY WOMAN, I BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA YOU". Really, really great. After finding the bin empty I went to the Los Altos store.
I heard that too rofl. Some people didnt even look through the games in the bins. A women just took a whole stack and shuffled through them in her arms. I managed to find MotoGP (GBA) on the displays.

I went out to this CC out in the middle of nowhere, nothing but rednecks out there. I was the first and only person in line. Several people from this store told me all the games were pulled, to be put out on the 11th. I figured i would have some good pickings because the location of the store, and the fact that only old people work there, that don't know anything about video games.

So when the store opens, i see three bins jammed packed and overflowing with games. It was like robbing a bank. I must have bought 70 or so games, most of them multiples of those hot japanese games that sell for big bucks on ebay. They had to pack the games in boxes for me, i had so many. I must have spent close to $1000.00, but that is okay, i'll make that back in no time on ebay, i'll just label the auction "hot rare HTF japanese import game" or something like that. Whatever it take to squeeze out a few more bucks. I only play sports and Xbox games myself, so i'm not into this Anime crap trend. BTW here are some of the games i got.

Ikaruga
Mario kart DD
Timesplitters 2
Viewtiful Joe
Disgaea
Dynastay warriors 4
Marvel vs Capcom
Mega man x7
REZ
ZOE
DOA volleyball
Panzer dragoon orta

Whats not to believe? You go to a store before it opens, buy all the stuff on clearance and then sell it on ebay, because it is rare and HTF.

Thats how its done. I can't help it if you are to slow or to lazy to get out to the stores when they open.

I know right, the people who don't write down which CC's they went to or where they live are probably lying about them getting all these great games.

btw in NYC
Union Square
had nuthin when the store opened, no bin, nada!!

Atlantic Av.
have a bin, just with sports titles (eh...). nothing on shelves either.

East 86th Street
sure there was a bin, but sports titles.... eh i dont think so... nothing good on the shelves either.

eh.. after that it was kinda late already so I didn't bother to check the other stores within my reach in the 5 boroughs. Most of them were probably cleaned out by now if they had it.

One more comment, is it really worth it to buy a game that is horrible just so you don't come back empty-handed? I dont think its worth it, I mean I would rather come back empty handed than cursing about how I wasted 5 bucks on this crappy game. Besides that is what the CC people want you to do :D

First of all if you had really spent that much money on games today, I think you would know right down to the dollar how much it came up to. Not, "I must have spent close to $1000."

Second, around 70 games at around $1000 comes out to way more than $10 per title. This is a $5 a game sale, remember?

Third, you have hardly any posts on this forum which leads me to believe you just made a new account with a new name to make this up to try to fool people.

If this is all true, good for you. I hope you get what you expect on EBay. I just don't believe any of it.

yeah, shroomhead is just trying to pull a gamefaqs type post and say what he believes will piss people off and get them all angry and start a flame war. Whatever. If your story is true, then I am happy for you and hope you make big bucks on ebay. If it's just flame bait, then you need to get a life.

Ha Ha! Yep. Everyone believes Shroomhead.
Yep. Guess what, I went to EB and bought 5 copies of Panzar Dragoon Saga for 10 each today. Then I went to the bank and they gave me a gem mint Walking Liberty in my change. I then went to the Sports card show and bought 10 full sets of the power 9 magic cards for 50 cents a card.
After that I stopped at a garage sale and found a long lost Matise and a Van Gogh... which I paid 10 dollars for.

I mean really.

Well I was very dissapointed today.

Norwalk, CT - Wiped out. Which is very lame considering how I had asked employees about the sale the night before and they said they had pulled games and left them in the back and had a shipment coming in. So, I wait outside the store before it opens, get in, and it's the same shit they had before......generic sports games from 2002 and 2003, Dr. Muto, Mojo, Exhibition Disc vol. 5..........in other words crap, crap, crap.

Trumbull, CT - Virtually wiped out as well. And as luck would have it, when I get to the store, I see some guy with Sega GT 2002 in his hands. I end up finding Billy Hatcher and ask to check the price; it ends up being 20 bucks...I understand that, since some people said they got it to work and others didn't. Alas, I find NBA 2K3 for Xbox so I figure I'll at least buy one $5 game......but this pimple-faced assclown of a redcoat tells me that it's 10 bucks. So basically I tell him that I know it's 5 as it's on the list of games that are $5. He then proceeds to tell me that NBA 2K3 is not on Circuit City's Master List., and that the lists from cheapassgamer.com (yea, he said this site) were incorrect. So I ask him if I can look at the Master List so I can show his dumb ass how wrong he is, but then he starts telling me there's no official list......yea.....didn't he just say the opposite before? So this deuschebag pretty much ruined my day and couldn't even let me get a $5 game.

Hopefully one of these stores somehow miraculously gets a shipment in....all I want is Moto GP, Capcom vs. SNK 2, and Resident Evil Remake.

Well it sounds like, we have a bunch of crying girls, that came home empty handed. You snooze you lose.

I did spent about $1000.00 today, after the two CC stores i went to, and my other pick ups of cheap HTF dvd's and Mcfarline sportspics fgures.

I raped CC the last time when they had their big PC game sale, and came away with 20 copies of Halo PC.

Man i went to my CC today anticipating atleast a few good games out of than sale and when i get there nothin. I hate CC. I did however get a much better than anticipated constlitation prise from CompUSA. It was after i picked up Time Splitters 2 for the GC at EB. I went in and there was this thing of crappy pc games thats just the jewel case and no boxes. Thurns out not so much crappy stuff. I got State of Emergency, Serious Sam, Serious Sam Second Encounter all in one pak for only 5 bucks. I also picked up Age of Empires and its expansion for 10. There was also Quake 3 for 10 but i didnt want it cause i need to know how many people still play it online.

yeapsssss the Lakewood CC sucked sucked sucked lol.. this one guy like grab whatever he wanted and left.. i bet his bum self is just gonna go out all selling -.-. lol it sucked though .. someone told me today its gonna open at 11AM! damn but it open at 10 -.- still .. o wellz i got five games.. ...
the sims- gc
road kill-ps2
fur fighter- ps2
sled storm- ps2
freaky flyer- ps2
my brohter got like 10 games..lol.. gba ones.. medabots
beyblade
bionlcles
and just ones that arent as good..
ooooo wellz shoulda stayed in minnesota.. probbaly not too much pplz there..
As I expected the had jack shit in Orange, CT....A few people were waiting for the doors to open along with a fellow CAGer who I helped out. Tao Feng and Spy Hunter (for XBox) ARE NOT $4.99 they are $19.99 and should be crossed from the list. Restock, total bullshit.....not happening there....
Peel the sticker (barcode on the back) and it will read at $4.99. That was my experience today. Alot of games that already have value stickers ($19.99 & under) have a DIFFERENT barcode on the back. Just peel it off and hope that they scan the back and not the sticker on the front.

As the CC sale comes to a close, I feel the urge to list the games I picked up from it!

Spy Hunter 2 (PS2)
Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny (PS2)
Robotech (PS2)
Virtua Fighter 4 (PS2)
Marvel Vs. Capcom (PS2) - Sold
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (PS2) - Sold
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (PS2) - Traded
Beach Spikers (GC)
Wrestlemania XIX (GC)
ZooCube (GC)

Go ahead and flame me because I love to resell games and make a $100 profit... if you really feel the need....

Anyways, I didn't do too bad, I guess. I only took 1 trip a few days after it started, and one more today, which sucked.

Went out on the the fifth ... already picked over. I picked up a couple of titles, nuthin truly interesting.

Went out today ... Zero! Several 2002 sports titles in the bin and fur fighters (PS2).

Funny thing ... they had a 19.99 bin next to the cheapo bin. You should've seen the number of mom/dads grabbing titles by the armful. Hoarding titles at normal price is comical. Yes, I'm sure they were $19.99 titles. I asked somebody to scan a couple of titles not on the list.

Shroomhead is exactly that. A Shroomhead.

Anyways, after the CC 3.32 after-Christmas glitch I didn't think CC could match it. But I was proved wrong. I didn't get all the best titles in my town, but I got a good amount that should keep me busy for awhile. I can't wait til the next big event on CAG.

Well i just got back from my outing today and picked up a ton of games that i had not seen.

One store did not get a shipment, while the other did. I haven't made a list yet of all the games i got but just for any inquiring CAGs out there, if your store said that they sold them already to their employees, than that is against store policy. They are only aloud to buy games for themselves after today, ergo July the 12th and after so if you are looking for any games at all, pick them up today.

Well, went to two CC stores here in San Antonio this morning (one at Windsor, the other at San Pedro & 410) and found nothing. I guess the workers were right in that they had put out all they had earlier in the week.

Also, I saw this weeks flyer, and it mentioned the $4.99 clearence, but that titles on sale varied from store to store. It might have explained why Evil Dead:FOB for the PS2 was still $20 (might want to take it off the list).

First of all, Shroomhead, there is no such thing as a CC "in the middle of nowhere." Who would be dumb enough to open a store in the middle of nowhere, especially million $$$ corporations like BB and CC? Hell, it's hard enough to come across a Walgreens or K-Mart in the middle of nowhere. Corporations like BB and CC are exclusively electronics so they follow the big cities with a booming economy and high minimum wage where there are alot of city people who have alot of money to spend, who love electronics and follow the city lifestyle - cell phones, PCs, laptops, hordes of CDs and DVDs, videogames, etc. Key phrase: THEY LIKE TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO CONSUMERS WHO ARE EAGER TO CONSUME

In other words, there are no CC in smalltowns or in the middle of nowhere that someone like Shroomhead becomes the only one to know about it and raids it full of Viewtiful Joe's and Disgaea's. Hell, even in the town I live at during college, there's only 10,000 people and I'm still competing for clearance games when there's a good one every once in a while and it ain't at CC either...CC wouldn't even want to think about opening up a store unless there's close to 50,000 people in the town alone...and then even still, there had better be a city close by.

DUH?!

good point.

The Tampa Bay Area is cleaned out also. I went to 3 different stores, Tampa, Brandon, Clearwater and found little of nothing. They were supposed to re-stock in Brandon, but i couldn't tell it if they did. I know some of the titles they pulled, and they weren't there. i heard they put them out on Wed. but couldn't confirm. I also ran into mis-pricing. Dr. Muto 14.99, Tao Feng 19.99 kelly slater (GCN) 14.99 and get this one Celebrity Death Match 19.99 that i know for a fact a frient bought 4-5 copies yesterday for 4.99 at te same store!!! They seem to have done a lot of price changing here to value titles and put them back in the plastic cases so you can't get to the sticker on the back. Too bad. But at least Monday I was able to get 5 new games, found 1 today and got 13 Last sale all for 4.99 except for 2 and they were 9.99 so not a total loss overall. I do still think the $ changin is crappy though.
As I expected the had jack shit in Orange, CT....A few people were waiting for the doors to open along with a fellow CAGer who I helped out. Tao Feng and Spy Hunter (for XBox) ARE NOT $4.99 they are $19.99 and should be crossed from the list. Restock, total bullshit.....not happening there....
i dunno about tao feng, but spyhunter for xbox was $4.99 at my cc. i picked one up 2 days ago...

I went to 2 CCs in Richmond, VA, 1 in Chesterfield, VA and 1 in HopeWell, VA

All of them had slim pickings in the 4.99 clearance bin.
But I only checked XBOX, GC, and GBA.

Shroomhead's post was just flame-bait. That list was designed to piss people off, VJ, Ikaruga, Panzer, etc.

Went to Willowbrook (Houston, TX) location around 12:30. Got nothing. They had two 4.99 bins, NO Xbox or GC games. A bunch of craptacular PS, PS2, and GBA games. I saw two red shirts putting games like Freedom Fighters and BG&E (Xbox, both of those, and I kept trying to look at the baskets but couldn't). I asked were they 4.99 and they said no. So I got nothing. The best day for me was Monday, I picked up Frequency, but even then, I passed on stuff (stupid, stupid me!) like Roadkill, Maximo, and Dynasty Warriors 3, 4.

I got Pikmin for $5 which is great and all, but I really wanted Ico, Ikaruga, and Disgaea. I'd buy those three if anyone is willing to sell 'em.

I picked up Sonic Advance and Haunted Mansion for Xbox at the Wilmington Delaware store on Rt 202 this morning.

Nothing found in Dallas, Tx!
Tried 2 stores this morning (Tollway & Alpha and I-75) and both were picked clean and had several different selections from previous visits, a few titles I bought earlier in the week at the Cedar Hill store were not $5 at either at these but were in stock. Go figure, will check back later this week and if anyone hears of a store in the Dallas area with games please let me know!!?

Went to 2 CCs today. Slim pickings but not bad deals considering.

I picked up 3 copies of Wrestlemania XIX for Gamecube for trade purposes, 1 copy of Fifa 2004 for GBA for trading, 1 copy of Robotech Battlecry for PS2 for trading, and I'm keeping the following Xbox games I found on the shelves :

Aggressive Inline
Bloodrayne
2002 Fifa World Cup

No I actually went to the one on Sahara and the one in Summerlin.

The one on Sahara was the one with the 3 Wrestlemania's and the one in Summerlin had the Bloodrayne and the Aggressive Inline on the shelf tucked behind other games.

so judging from reading the posts today, i can assume that CC has taken more fun out of the $4.99 deal by putting new stickers over the SKUs to ring up higher prices than they're supposed to be, other than crappy titles and no re-stocking?

I went to the one on sahara yesterday and the guys that work there plain cheats. the superviser working at the counter told me had already bought all the games and said that most of them sucked and that he either gave them to his roomate or was using them like frisbies. I hope he gets fired, because i was told from another CC that they are not supposed to be alowd to buy anything from the sale until tomorrow.

Well, on both Aggressive Inline and Bloodrayne the prices were not marked $4.99. But those were on the shelves hidden behind stuff.

One of the CC stores I went to had a really small $4.99 clearance bin hidden, while they had a BUNCH of $19.99 and Greatest Hits titles out in a giant bin. At first I thought the giant bin was the $4.99 games until I noticed they had a bunch of stuff not on the list in there.

Still, I'm pretty happy with my finds today even though I didn't get anything I really wanted. Overall this was a great sale for me - got about 15 games that each were worth $5.

Between me and my friend, we picked up some decent games for what was perceived as 'slim pickings'

I picked up:
Megaman X7
PN03
Summoner (GC)
Colin McRae Rally 3
Vexx (GC)
LOTR: Twin Towers
Dragon Valor
Grabbed By The Ghoulies

My friend picked up:
Summoner II
PN03
Chaos Legion
Buffy: Chaos Bleeds
Shox
Voodoo Vince

Also left some other games there: Wrestlemania XIX, lots of el crappo sports games, The Thing, Dino Crisis 3, Transworld Snowboarding, two bins worth.

We both wound up taking some of the games to Gamerush after playtesting our booty. I traded MMX7, PN03, Summoner & Colin in and got a used KOTR, a used Mario Golf (GC), a new Mario Golf (GBA) and $7 in credit. My friend traded PN03, Summoner, Chaos & Buffy and got a new PS2 network adaptor plus a used Socom II out of it. Good stuff thanks to CC and Game Rush!

Yeah I'm thinking I might end up trading these games in for store credit if I can't get them traded on here. Or maybe just sell 'em for like, $10 shipped or something.

went to the city of industry CC and they had a few games. Maximo, Mortal Kombat DA, and Wrestlemania XIX were the few that looked decent, but I didnt pick them up. All I was hoping to find was Marvel vs. Capcom and Sega Soccer Slam, but I bet alot of other people were too.

I went to the one in Clackamas, Oregon next to Petco. All they really had were old sports games and stuff that wasn't too good. The only things that might have really been worth getting were Twisted Metal: Black (My stepbrother got this) and Tekken 3.

It was all in a gray, plastic cart sitting in the games section.

The CC in Mountain View, CA had a pretty lousy showing when it came to games.

I ended up getting Driver 2 Avance, and nothing else. But, hey, it's something. Could've been worse.

I went to the West Orlando and East Orlando stores today and there was nothing but older sports games in the bins, and titles like Mad Maestro for PS2 and one of the Scooby Doo games for PS1...really nothing worth getting at all.

I didn't even see any of the games on the list up on the shelf with the other games, except for Activision Anthology which rang up $19.99 anyway, so we ended up not getting anything.

and titles like Mad Maestro for PS2 and one of the Scooby Doo games for PS1...really nothing worth getting at all.

Hey! Mad Maestro is a steal at 4.99!

I didn't go to any CC's today, but, I'm glad I didn't after reading some of these posts about it. Howabout that Shroomhead guy, though?
Howabout that Shroomhead guy, though?
I heard he went to get more Disgaeas and Shining Souls at the bermuda triangle CC and was never heard from again. I heard rumors that they limited everyone there 1 copy of a 4.99 game and he's still walking in and out to get all 500+ copies of each game.

He's a true CAG hero!

Sunday was a bust for me...

I can't complain though, I got a total of 17 Xbox games, from the Circuit City, $4.99 clearance sale...:D

Something's fishy in Circuit City land. I went to a few different stores today (Bakersfield, CA and other surrounding areas), and the only $4.99 games I saw were lame PSone titles or old sports games. I saw so many things from the "official" list that were ringing up at $15 and more -- even ones that I myself picked up for $4.99 last week, like Dr. Muto Xbox.

I don't understand how stores have piles of discount bins with $20 ring-ups, but just a handful of $4.99 stuff. I guess it really does depend from store to store. I'm glad I scored some good stuff earlier in the week.
