Quiet you. Go play some dynasty warriors gundam or whatever. ;)
Oh I will!
You bastards.
Turned me onto Lady Gaga... garh.... evil.

All part of the plan.

Anyway as my failed GGT said, I can't wait for next month. So many good games...

The last game I bought was Tekken 6, the next will be Bayonetta. I need to stop being so broke and either sell this crack rock, or get steady employment.

Rei, where's your new avatar from?

Can't wait for Zelda this week, even though I haven't had time to play Fallout 3 in over a week.

Morning Mak

Tom and Crow have be reunited in front of my TV.:)

Watched "The Corpse Vanished" last night, not bad, the riffing and host segments are always a bit basic in series 1 eps, but it was fine.

Morning GGT!

I'm finishing up Resident Evil 2 and I can't wait to start up Resident evil 3.

Also, my girlfriend got me one of these for my birthday to which I'm really excited. It's just too bad I have to wait a month to get it.

Just started playing Valkyria Chronicles, and I'm loving it so far. I've also been playing a lot of Battlefield: Bad Company online.

Seriously this. I have zero dollars in my wallet. It's not fun.

Howdy. Haven't gotten around to opening it up yet. It's been sitting on my dvd shelf. It shall be opened soon though.

When is rifftrax gonna have a new release? I would love a shorts volume 3.

I have never played any Call of Duty game. I think they need to make a CoD game with elves and big-eyed anime characters. I'd love shooting those with a chain gun.
What up, krymner?

You wouldn't happen to be talking about Alma around mission 6 would you? ;)
That's the one that pisses everyone off in NG... luckily, in Sigma there's a good technique for pwning her.
Yes. I've been trying for days. What's the cheap trick??

Saboteur? Not me.

Finished the campaign in MW2 finally last night.
My only impressions are that Soap and Price are badasses. I sure hope IW doesn't kill them off in MW3 just for shockers. IMO, I think losing Ghost was enough and getting rid of either of them now will just be a lame gimmick--to me, deaths for sake of shock value three times in a row is just being lazy.

After, I played a little Borderlands. I sure wish there was a way to scale the multiplayer games so I can keep up with my co-workers/buddies. :p

I think it's less for the "shock value" and more for the "these are normal guys; not super soldiers like master chief" kinda thing personally. I see what you mean though.

I didn't realise Saboteur was even out yet, in fact I saw it on someones gamercard and I thought they pirated it  (this wasn't on CAG). The devs were right, EA kinda left it out there to die.

With the amount of games I have in my backlog at the mo I can't justify getting it, I must say I like the premise though.

Anyone getting Zelda Spirit Tracks? I admit Phantom Hourglass and the stupid, godawful Temple of the Ocean King really soured me on any kind of "sequel", but it sounds like they kind of sort of dealt with that issue in an improved way for this game.

No, I didn't dig the touch controls in PH, so I won't be bother with this. I pretty much never touch my DS anymore anyway. Can't see putting limited gaming time into it when I have stuff to play on the 360 on the 50" TV which is a much better experience IMO.

DS got more use before I finished grad school and moved as I'd play it sometimes when the roommate was using the TV. Now I just can't get motivated. Maybe if a 2D metroid or another 2D mario game came out.

Think i'll wait on the Saboteur, the backlog is huge and it seems like it'll clearance quickly. I'm definitely going to play it at some point.

Well asking Santa for it anyway. I don't remember what was so bad about the Temple of the Ocean King. And I enjoyed PH overall. It was no Minnish Cap but it was still good IMO.

I just hated having to go back to that same dungeon over and over. For me, it got tedious rather quickly, especially with the lack of d-pad option.

There still seems to be a few minor problems noted for Spirit Tracks (the imprecise stylus controls don't appear to have been improved), but otherwise, it doesn't sound as annoying as PH was for me.

Morning/afternoon, GGT!

Started up MGS4 again. I was so mad that the game didn't give me the Big Boss Emblem when I beat it on Extreme...until I realized after looking at the save file that I picked Big Boss Hard. FFFFFFFFF-

Either way, gonna beat it on Normal to get some Chaff Grenades (and to remember how to play), then going to officially try Extreme.

Started playing forza motorsports 3 last night with wheel. So far it feels fantastic. And the fact that it has a large number of cars I like might mean I'll have to put some serious hours into it.
That dungeon made me stop playing the game. Terrible.
I slogged through and beat it, but it was terrible. You get short cuts, start half way through eventually etc. But it was still just terrible, and an awful way to artificially lengthen a short game.

I don't like touch control so not getting it. Also PH was a terrible game, so I don't have much hope here.

The reviews of ZST I've read have all been positive, although they do admit that the touch controls can still be an annoyance.

Right now I've got ACII, Borderlands, Demon's Souls, and Forza3 in the rotation. I'll probably continue w/ACII tonight.

One thing that bugs me about ACII is that I fight with the camera constantly when I'm free running. None of the reviews or impressions I've seen mention this, so I'm sad that it seems like it's just me. :(

I think it is just you. I've never had any problems with the camera in that game.

Positive reviews for a Zelda game do nothing for me since they all seem to get positive reviews, and I tend to like very few of them.

I should clarify that I actually fight with the controls more than the camera. Eizo will often jump to places I had no intention of going. I get frustrated during those times you have to run from the guards when I point the stick one way and Eizo goes the other way.

Need the dragon's claw and tiger fang -- maybe at level 2.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/82142.html

Most strategies heavily recommend the flying swallow moves, but I just waited for the opening to hit her with one and then went into that combo.

Wow Bowser's Inside Story is boring as fuck. None of the dialogue is funny, and the text scrolls so slowly. Not to mention all the failed attempts at jokes inflate the amount of dialogue to ridiculous levels. Annoyed I even wasted a sign out on it.

I played the first DS Mario RPG and did not care for it at all. I doubt I'd like BIS either.

Thanks Frosty. I'll need to level up that weapon and I'll give it a try tonight.

Look at those arms on Princess Zelda! Coupled with the lack of breasts, I can only assume she's on steriods.
Anyone else picking up The Saboteur tomorrow?
Nope, I've had my fill of open world game for now. And the game doesn't look all that great.
Anyone getting Zelda Spirit Tracks?.
I'll be picking it up.

nothing even tempting me from straying from my buy no games for 1 year pledge yet.

Closest has been wanting to get some PSN/Wii point cards.

The Hydralisk that used to be in your signature is going to cry if SC2 comes out this year and you don't buy it.

Think about that.

If you're either 10 years old or actually find Nintendo's childish humor amusing (Squid Fit! Get it!?) then by all means play it.
The GBA mario/luigi rpg had some adult humor in it, I think.
Yeah, it was much better than the DS one. Though I did like the DS one ok as well. Haven't bothered with the newest DS one for the reasons noted above--just not motivated to play anything on the DS.
It might have. It's been a long time since I played that one. I do remember not finishing it though because I got really bored.
That's exactly the same reason I never finished the first DS Mario & Luigi RPG. I was on the final dungeon bored to tears and just couldn't bring myself to finish it. A couple days later, I gave it away to my 10-year old nephew. He absolutely loved it.
