Tech N9ne is pretty popular here in Michigan, as he has some ties to the Insane Clown Posse (somehow  ), which are huge in amongst hip-hop hillbillies in Michigan.

That's enough for me not to like him. He could be Jesus on the mic and I wouldn't care to listen, as ICP has the reverse-Midas Touch.

The Cardigans - Gran Turismo, the album
Hmmm..hadn't known that about him till I looked it up on wiki. I loathe, hate, detest ICP. I know some people here that they only like them to make fun of, which I guess is semi alright.

Oh and The Cardigans are awesome.

. Best recognize. ;)

Beck - The Information (album)

The Killers - Sam's Town (album)

I really love the more matured sound of them now. I liked Hot Fuss, but this just seems to be on a different level.

I like When You Where Young, didn't care for Sam's Town. I also hated everything I heard from their first album.

With that being said, would I like the new album?

Neon Blonde - Chandeliers In The Savannah (album)

Recommended to me by Brak...its certainly interesting, I need to listen a bit more before I decide if I like it or not.

Yeah. It may take a couple of listens.

The best way to describe it is The Blood Brothers meets a little of The White Stripes meets hip-hop with a little synth and a lot of orchestral sense and some weird usage of caberat stylings. Amazing for a two-man band, if you ask me.

There's a lot of musical contrast throughout the album, from track to track.

A lot of people dislike the vocals, at a glance (or whatever the tonal equivalent to a glance would be) -- but he has a very wide range, and I think it really sets everyhting off, with what they're doing.

The vocals are insanely dark, too; good usage of contradictory arts and juxtaposition, therein.

Of the two songs, I'd say more of the stuff is more like Sam's Town. When You Were Young is one of the songs that actually sounds more like it belongs on Hot Fuss. If you happen to like older U2 (Joshua Tree and before), then you may like the rest of the album. That's what it really reminds me of.

No, especially if you disliked Hot Fuss. Sam's Town will have you stomping your feet and bobbing your head the first time you hear it, but after you really start to listen to it, you'll realize it just isn't that good. Not to say it isn't a fun little album, but it's overly dramatic, repetitive, and shallow. Just my two cents.
K-OS - Joyful Rebellion (album)
If you liked JR, grab Atlantis. It's a much superior album.

Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home (album) (my new favorite Dylan album?)
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited (album) (why does he have so much amazing materal?)
Mastodon - Blood Mountain (album)
Mastodon - Leviathan (album)

Can't get enough. Any other fans out there?
I like em. Probably should play March of the Fire ants since i haven't in a very long time.

Been playing an older album for the past week

Pep Love- Acension

its odd, when I got it I though it was just okay but now I really dig it.

Brothers and Sisters - Brothers and Sisters (album)
All That Remains - The Fall of Ideals (album)
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks (album)
Mastodon - Leviathan (album)

Hi-Tek - Hi-Teknology 2: the Chip (album; for the 3rd time now)

edit: stealing from Mr. Anderson's post below - "I mean really, this shit is amazing."
