The Sarah Connor Chronicles S1 (Blu Ray) 27.95 @ Amazon

This is also $29.95 at the warnerbros.com where there is a 30% coupon and free shipping over $50. May be a better deal there if you were going to order other stuff as well--they had a bunch of the other newly announced TV Shows on DVD and Blu-Ray as well, which aslo seemed to be a good deal. (Smallville S7, Torchwood S1, Pushing Daisies S1, Robin Hood S1 on Blu, and Chuck S1, Big Bang Theory S1 on DVD as well as others)

See other thread for WarnerBros store info (can't remember if on this forum or dvdtalk.com forum). I believe the 30% off code is ANWBTS

Woot! It's in my goldbox for $26.55 because I ordered Pan's Labyrinth a week or two ago. Hmm, I noticed Iron man (special edition Blu Ray) is the same price for preorder.
Chuck S1 is available for pre-order on Blu-Ray...holly shit I just crapped my pants!

EDIT: not up for pre-order yet :whistle2:(
No there has been no announcement of Chuck coming to Blu as far as I have seen---that was one of the DVD only ones I listed--that and Big Bang Theory. I don't think either has a Blu release coming any time soon.

Bummer...I'd so get that on the spot. Great show.

Back on topic...SCC is only 8 or 9 episodes right...its a pretty good price, might get it at WHV along with other titles at a later time.

Wish I knew if Chuck was ever going to come to BR-- really like the show but not enough to double dip.

That said, I need something to creep over $50 to get free shipping, since the prices for Terminator and Pushing Daisies are great at Warner... but don't want to get worthless filler...
How many eps in that season? 6?
8 I believe.

Nice price, I may have to snag this for Summer as well as a few choice scenes, like the classroom scene where the Terminator rips the gun outta his leg while taking roll. Priceless.

When i add Terminator to my cart on WB.com, the price comes down to 25.46

cant get the 30% off code to work though, though this code: MYBM8 brought my price down to 22.46, but after shipping total came to Order Total:

$30.33

(tax was 1.92)

You need to have 2 items in your cart for the code to work. And $50 for free shipping.
So for $20 more you could have gotten Dark City and Natural Born Killers(or any New Line title)

The show strikes me as something they made because they had exhausted all other ideas for primetime television and decided to recycle something from the 80's; they've already done the same thing to Forever Night, which has been thrust into our laps as Moonlight. What's even worse is that people watch these shows. At least Dexter is original, even if it's a ludicrous concept.

think they did it to get people hype for the new movies

plus someone bought the rights to the terminator franchise for a lot of money and they're trying to make money off of it

Thanks for the information, I didn't pick up Sarah Connor's Blu-ray but I did pick up both Batman titles coming out on Blu-ray (Gotham Knight $18.87 and Begins $13.97) and 3 other random DVDs to make up for the $50 dollar for free shipping.

Thread-crapping perhaps? I don't see how Dexter series factors into a thread about a good price on Terminator.

is there some special deal going on at warner bros with new line blurays?

does anyone have a good site that lists th special feature of deluxe editions and their hi def counterpart?

if you apply the code for the warner site then it becomes ~ $21/9 ~ $2.34 an episode which is good for high def.

I went ahead and just pulled the trigger last night. Ordered Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies, Dark City, and Batman Begins for $75 shipped.

Now I just have to wait for all those release dates. :dunce:

You guys remember what price Lost Season 3 came out (On sale price, not street price) on Blu-Ray

Those are 22 episodes.

Wasn't it $66?

$2.75-3 per episode for HD is fine, then.

If only B&M sell this for less than $27.99.... I think I will wait!
$27.95/8=$3.49

How is $3.49 an episode good price?
Blu-Ray. If that were the price for a standard DVD set, definitely overpriced.

But did you ever consider how much it cost if the show was 22-24 Epiosdes?

Well, it's $77-$84

Not a good price then, is it?

Oh, I agree that nearly all Blu-Rays are overpriced. I don't think SCC is the best deal ever but at over 400 minutes on Blu-Ray it's good enough (for now).

They are trying to cashing in extra by putting out very few episodes, but cost more (As in ratio)

And, we consumers need to say "No, Not gonna happen"

If you buy in to this, these damn companies will continue to do LESS episode per season, and they know people will buy it for the same price anyway!

THAT will be bad!

Anyway, it's 9 episodes not 8, so $3.11 per episode.

Well, I used $3.49 (for 8 episodes) to do the calculation, so I was wrong there.

So, this ain't really bad!

Lost season 4 is MUCH WORSE than this! That's $4.78/episode.

SCC was a mid-season show so it was originally going to be a lower run of eps. Plus the writers' strike cut the episode count short for every show this season.
