Hey, we were at 500 in the old topic and I met Marty Elias tonight at an EWF show. He was a very nice guy and even gave me a custom WWE logo/Marty Elias guitar pick. Oh, and if I look half dead in the pic... I felt half dead from all the lack of sleep.

Since I just met him today, I figured, "Why the hell not?" It's not like the subjects of our threads have mattered in a very long time.

I say this in the nicest way possible, but without context, the above picture looks like a waste of a Make A Wish.

He was future endeavored after Night of Champions, where he called the six-pack challenge.
-- The former General Manager of Raw, Mike Adamle, has apparently been asked to guest host a future edition of the program. Adamle is a sports anchor and reporter at WMAQ-TV in Chicago and he announced during a broadcast a few days ago that WWE called him with the offer. Adamle did not reveal whether he accepted his former employer's offer or not.

-- As reported earlier, referee Marty Elias (real name Marty Rubalcaba) was let go this past week by WWE. In a trivia note, Rubalcaba's daughter was the woman Hurricane Helms saved from falling off something in a backstage segment on ECW a few weeks ago.
Wow, I didn't read anywhere about his release. That sucks.

That made me laugh hysterically. Touch 'em all!

Midway's San Diego studio has found a saviour in the shape of THQ, as the Californian publisher has acquired the developer and saved the jobs of at least 40 of the 100 employees.

Warner Bros' recently acquired much of Midway Games, although the San Diego and Newcastle studios were left out in the cold by the deal. The Newcastle studio was shuttered last month, but the San Diego outfit has been saved from a similar fate by THQ.

According to a Chicago Tribune report, THQ acquired all the assets associated with the developer, barring the TNA Wrestling game, for a mere $200,000.

Lemme get this right: you couldn't care if they let a wrestler go at all, but a nobody referee gets shitcanned and it sucks?

Crap, I was hoping they might make something worthwhile with their 2nd attempt.

Nice. Keep 'em obscure and/or meaningless.

You mean to tell me there were at least two?

Hell, Braden Walker has like three, so I guess I shouldn't be shocked.

The worst part is that since nothing worthwhile happens any more, we're stuck with Marty for a few weeks until the PPV.

I vote for a Villano IV topic.

Memorable Chetti moments - Dancing to Living La Vida Loco after Danny Doring proposed to Lita by putting a condom on her finger. Okay, there's...one...

Jericho/Show have a horrible entrance...but the suits are looking great

No appearance in the opening by Slaughter followed by a pre-taped segment featuring him? I wonder if they're going to have him do a live appearance in front of the audience tonight.. they may be preventing it since they're in Canada.

This women's match is some of the worst professional wrestling I've ever seen - and that's considering the history of the WWE women's division.

But Gail Kim won so all is right.

Eh. She's still a nobody. She had an unremarkable return on WWE TV a few months back and has done jack squat in that entire time. She wins a match suddenly and gets a title shot. Why should I care?

(To be fair, I couldn't remember who the Women's champ was until the announcers said it was Mickie James. So that shows how enthralling WWE TV is.)

That was one of the more memorable divas matches in recent memory - I dug the double shouldermount spot. It's a shame it wasn't used for something cooler than a horrid-looking submission that wasn't the least bit believable.

The crowd is so quiet during these Slaughter segments that its embarrassing...
Sarge heeling it up in Canada was awesome
I can't help but think that they decided to whore out the heel turn this week after last week's amazing heel turn.

Are you high? Are you satisfied by one fucking spot when everything around it was clumsy, poorly paced, out of place, told no story, and made no difference in the long run?

The quality of wrestling in that match was 30 people in a bar, $3, 2-drink-minimum cover charge promotion's opening match quality.

What...the...fuck?

So HBK has a 5-star match with Taker at WM that completely stole the show, goes on a wll-deserved hiatus for 4 months, and the first time we see him on TV since then, he's working in a restaurant?

Did WWE hire Dutch Mantel?

This match is so pointless. I guess this is just a cheap way to establish Eugene as a heel.

Edit: I stand corrected. Go MIZ!
