Since the Target deals are usually of the "your mileage may vary" type, let's keep all the target clearance deals in this thread.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance without making the store clerk unlock the display case and price-scan a bunch of games. Very often, games may be on sale, but will not be marked as such.

BigDirty came up with this nice time saver. Respect his cheap ass skills.

1) Check this thread for games that have been reported on clearance.

2) Go to www.half.com, http://bits.com/ or similar website and search for the game to locate its UPC code number. Its in the grey box underneath the box art graphic.

3) Go to www.schworak.com/upc/ , www.milk.com/barcode/ , or www.upcdatabase.com and enter the code so you can print out the UPC.

4) Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts and search for cheap ass deals!

FYI: "When a game's price ends with 8 cents, further reduction is possible, when it ends in 4 cents, that's the ball game, pick it up cause it's not going any lower. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." - BigDirty

When posting what you have found, please note the location that you found it at, example:

Philadelphia, PA
Snyder Plaza

Game Name, System, Price

Mobile Light Force - around $13

Xbox:
World Series Baseball 2K3 - $20.98 (cheaper at Mall 205 store... around $15 there)

The Target on Rea Road in Charlotte had a few children's PC games and Street Fighter Alpha 3 (GH) for the PS1 for $7.48. Other than that, absolutely nothing.

tustin, CA target had the smoke controllers for four dollars and change! i finally scored on a target deal... although i wish i found some games too :(

whoops, i meant six dollars and change.

Just scanning some of this thread has made me even more angry at not having a target in my area.....hell i just got ps2 controller with gamer gift card at best buy for $15.89 total and i'm reading prices for $6.54 and lower. Man I feel hosed.......

Monrovia, CA Target had some gray slate Dual Shock 2s for $6. I got 2 of them :)

Also snagged the Red Alert 2 bundle for $7. FINALLY, my Target gets some good stuff :)

Orange City, FL.

Both Box sets for the PC.

World Series Baseball (xbox) - 14.98
Indiana Jones and Jedi Outcast (xbox) still $14.98

Lake Charles, LA

Anderson, S.C. Target - Slate Gray DS2 PS2 Controllers - $6.24

They were still marked $24.99. I had to scan them.

I bought two for Champions of Norrath (and then they will sit unused for years)

They still had about 7 left.

this is just in responce to a previous post about Target NOT Donating clearance products. Target does donate items that have gone last the %75 off price point. If its been on the shelve at %75 off more then a week or and returns that they can't sell are donated to local charites. I know this because I always find products with the target clearance stickers on them at my local goodwill. They even told me at goodwill that they get stuff from target once a week.

Anyone know which set is a better one to get? The Trilogy box is much heavier than the DVD anniversary collection. I assume there's a bigger instruction book with the trilogy set, but the DVD anniversary set might be updated. I know this is a very complicated game, and more instructions may help. Can anyone shed some light on this about which is the better set to get?

What store did you find this at? Because the ESPN football and PsOne/LCD combo are the best prices I have heard for either of those.

Lucky SOB (no offense intended). Where was that (Norman, OK again?)? That is about $70 less on the PSOne/LCD combo than the one that was available at my Target.

no it was'nt the norman, ok location. The screen was at the East Reno & Midwest Blvd location in Midwest City, OK, ESPN Football was at the NW 50th & May Location in Okc, OK. (I get around)

The ESPN Football was scanning $0.00. The combo was a return but at that price I'm not complaing one bit.

Def Jam Vendetta (GC version) $4.98. I bought 1, there are 2 left.
The Matrix (XBox version) $14.98 3 copies
Aliens vs Predator (XBox version) $14.98 2 or 3 copies
Damn man I'd give ya 12 through paypal if you went and got ESPN Football for me. :p
I will call the Norman Target later today to see if they have any, as I got the only copy from the north Target and the other 4 I checked did'nt have them.

I'm not sure if it's a good deal but Klonoa:Empire of Dreams GBA for $15 at Galveston, TX Target. Hopefully I got a good deal. Anyone know if it's a good game or not?

I've never played it, but it has gotten good reviews. $15 is the price at all Targets, it is one of their value titles.

Without having to read through all of this, could someone give me the 411 on how the Target rain check thing works? I've never considered using it until today...

What is so freaking important in this thread that there are over 1,000 posts? No, I'm not reading through 55 pages of it to figure it out.

Target clearance deals are YMMV (your mileage may vary) and because of this there are many reposts as certain items may or may not be available in some areas. Also there are usually (if not always) new clearance prices at a number of Targets each week.
Are these PSOne/LCD screen combos out on shelves or behind the glass case? I can't seem to find one at my target.
Both. It just depends on the store. If they are'nt in the case then they will be in the next isle next to the PSOne only systems.

So thanks for contributing to it to make it longer!
Games for less than five! Important to me! Just means less people buying the games. More for us!
That isn't a haiku, but good try.

I will be over your house today, around 3-ish?

You will receive a mighty punch right in the old coin purse.

Look forward to seeing you then.

If you are unavailable at this time please call so that we may reschedule.

The Target software clearance is great righ tnow (PC at least)

Need For Speed Underground ~20 dolla
Prince of Persia as mentioned. ~20
Homeworld ~7
Jedi Outcast ~20

GBA: Noteworthy: Metroid Fusion ~15 dolla =)

Now if only I could find the PS2 controllers... *sigh*

Yeah, speaking of the PS2 controllers, I was at 3 targets today and none of the Dual Shock 2 clear grey controllers were on sale. They were regular price, 24.99 ea. Are these the ones supposedly on sale, or are they the PS1 Dual Shock (not DualShock 2) ?
